Assure Method Assignment
A- Teaching the months of the year to a first grade class, Special Ed. 10 boys, 7 girls, 70% white,
20% African Americans, and 10% Hispanic. 7 students in the class have ADHD.
S- They will know the months of the year by the end of the week. 100% accuracy.
S- The materials we use will include: a book, an interactive calendar, and a test. The methods
will include: auditory, visual, and kinesthetic.
U- I will be utilizing my materials by reading the book aloud to the children and then following
up with a verbal assessment of what they recollect from the book. Also I will go over the
calendar with them and then have them piece it back together in order. The final assessment will
be at the end of the week in which they will be asked to fill in the blanks on the sheet that
resembles the interactive calendar.
R- The students will interact with me after reading the book. Interaction will also occur between
them and the calendar.
E- I will evaluate them throughout the week with the small assessments and interactions.
