Teaching Holiday traditions to 4th graders. There are 20
students 11 girls, and 9 boys. There are 2 Muslims, 3 Jewish
and 2 African American students.

Students will demonstrate knowledge in traditional holidays from both worldwide
cultures and American culture.
The focus will be on Ramadan, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and Christmas.

Students will engage by trying different foods from each holiday tradition,
through description of each holiday using pictures on a SMART board, and
demonstration of songs found on YouTube from each holiday.
6. R and E
By the end of the week, students will describe what aspect from each holiday they
found most interesting and why in class discussion forum found on the instructor’s
blog with 90% accuracy.
