Being a Scientist
Introduction:
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a scientist? Or what it takes to win a Noble Prize in
science? This webquest will show you a little about what it means to be a scientist.
Task:
Your job is to research several scientists from all aspects of the field. From there, you will then
pick one scientist you are most interested in and create a powerpoint explaining who that
scientist is and why he or she interests you.
Process:
1. Using the following links, pick a scientist for your project. Be sure to take notes
about the person you pick.

You will be evaluated based on the notes you have taken and the content/quality of your
powerpoint. This will be on a 100 point scale for both assignments combined.
4. Conclusion
By the end of this assignment, you should have a better understanding of what a scientist
is, what the person you have chosen has contributed in society, and hopefully a gained
interest in the study of science.
