Convincing an ordinary user switching to Apple system, quality but also price burden related to
elegancy, is undoubtedly tough. Although Apple serves much more qualified products they are not
preferred for regular usage. Apple accepted failure in computer market and search for another field
to make a great impact. After a well planned strategy iPod portable media players are introduced to
market as the innovative product of Apple. iPod first entered to market in 2001 with a great impact.
The reason for involvement for this new product is based on it's elegant design and compatibility
with legal mp3 downloading system iTunes. Unquestionably there were existing digital music

Yet positioning takes into consideration more than just how a customer feels about a particular

Products
Apple Computer redefined the portable digital music player market with its launch of the iPod
digital music player. This began in January of 2001, when it introduced its jukebox software called
iTunes. This software enabled Macintosh users to import songs from audio CD's converting them to
MP3 format and storing them on the computer's hard drive. It later launched the iPod digital music
player in October of 2001. The iPod was designed to synch to songs and playlists from iTunes via a
Firewire cable connection. Once music was downloaded, the iPod provided for 10 hours of
continuous play from its rechargeable lithium–polymer battery. Media is stored on iPod's internal
hard disk (Day, 2005).
The iPod has evolved with subsequent product generations so that it could be used by both Windows
and Macintosh users with iTunes software being made available for each operating system. The iPod
features the company's patent pending, Click Wheel, which combines a touch sensitive wheel with
five push buttons for one handed navigation. Apple touts this feature as one of the industry's first

other groups of the Caribbean Islands. Because there are people from so many backgrounds in
Miami the food is very diverse and authentic of many countries including Cuba, Colombia,
Argentina, and Jamaica. Having good friends from all of these places as a child, I would delve into
their culture and foods and learn to accept their differences but also realize they are not too different
from our own. Although coming from different backgrounds my family developed many traditions
that are not common in the United States but we shared with our friends, such as eating the 12
grapes at midnight on new years, which is commonly a Spanish tradition.
As Miami developed and changed, my father's job changed too. My dad works as a pilot at
international airports, and he was first stationed at the Miami airport, which I would say is the most
hectic international airport I have been to. We moved to Fort Worth when they transferred him to the
DFW International Airport, in this move I realized the change in scenery and people. Coming from a
more southern and commonly polite background, people were not so straightforward and rude as
