In this position, I was presented the opportunity to become the billing and
insurance manager, to do so I was given many different tasks to handle and prove my
skills. In this role I expanded my knowledge and skills by supervising all members of
both teams closely, interviewing for any open positions, all training for new team
members, processing our “Billing Run” to electronically and paper submit claims,
posting any payments received from insurance’s or patient’s, verifying patient’s benefits,
processing authorizations, reviewing any denials, submitting appeals when necessary,
maintaining accounts receivable monthly, processing refunds, and maintaining our
patient collection’s. I have worked with and learned about many different insurance’s and
plans; I.E. Medicare, Blue Shield, Anthem Blue Cross, Humana, Healthnet, Aetna,
Wellcare, many different Medicare replacement plans, etc. My willingness to learn every
aspect of my job portrayed itself in my work. I was presented with a great opportunity to
display my skills and knowledge, and for all I have learned and accomplished, I am very
grateful.
Billing FSI charge entry/ Insurance lead

With this company, I have learned and handled many different tasks. When

2. transferring to the billing and insurance department, I was a member of the “Billing FSI
charge entry team,” on this team I handled processing supplies through their insurance,
whether it would be reviewing the patients medical coverage or processing the supplies
through their pharmacy plan on our “FSI” system. I also handled patient charges, such as,
copay’s, co-insurance’s, or collecting deductibles, as well as maintaining my accounts
receivable assignments monthly, and was chosen as one of few to handle our special
accounts. I was then transferred and became the Insurance team lead, where I supervised
a team of employees, handled any training for new employees, and verified many
different medical and pharmacy plans. The knowledge and experience I gained while in
these roles helped me to receive another promotion to the billing and insurance
supervisor for our sister company Advanced Cardio Services.
Costco/ADS Intake Caller
Advanced Diabetes Supply Carlsbad, CA December 2011-January 2013
At this job my role was to work closely with Costco pharmacies all around to help
provide Costco patients with their diabetic testing supplies. I was able to take on many
different tasks which enabled me to be placed in a leadership role. Some of my
responsibilities consisted of taking inbound calls and making outbound calls, data entry,
checking a patients Medicare eligibility, dispensing supplies at the patients local Costco
pharmacy, obtaining patients medical insurance, valid prescription orders and assisting
patients when needing prior authorization for supplies, shipping supplies, entering
charges for supplies the patient picked up from their Costco store, scanning images into
patients profiles, training new team members, and explaining the patients medical
coverage for supplies. I also performed many other detailed tasks in my position. My
willingness to learn every aspect of my job portrayed itself in my work. I was presented
with a great opportunity to learn how to handle a detailed and fast paced environment,
dealing with many difficult situations, for the experience I have gained in this role I am
very grateful. Internal transfer to Advanced Diabetes Supply Billing and Insurance
Department.

At this job, my duties were to act as a “monster” in our haunted rooms. I was
responsible for scaring our brave customers. I was also on “Crowd Control” on the
