Lady GaGa uses big bold writing witch makes it stand out from
other album covers because it draws the eye. Also by naming the
album cover and song Judas creates a shock factor. It created such a
shock that groups of Christians and Muslims fought to have the
song banned because they thought it was disrespectful. This media
coverage provided promotion for the album and made people want
to buy it to see what it was all about.

The simplicity of the style of the album cover directs the audiences
attention to the name of the album and cross. By making the cover
so simple it makes it stand out against other album covers. Also
Lady GaGa wants people to focus on the name so it makes a big
impact on people. The heart in the cross could portray the idea that
she loves Judas, which is reflected in the lyrics of the song. Which
again shocks people.
The different shades of red create an image of either blood or hell
which links to the name of the album Judas. Also by using a bright
red for the title and cross it makes it stand out from other album
covers because it draws the eye. The cross also links to religious
imagery and adds to the shock factor. I think the success of the
Lady GaGa’s album comes from shock factor.
Eliza Doolittle uses big bold lettering draws the eye to the album
cover it also makes it stand out from the other album covers as it is
big bold and brightly coloured. Moreover the title is mounted on a
black background which creates more emphasis on the title.

By having a edgy creative style of writing for the title it not only
makes it stand out but reflects the happy indie pop music on the
album. Furthermore I specifically like the use of different designs
and pictures in side of the letters as it reflects the creativity and
originality of the song, which makes people want to buy it because
it is different. The style of the album cover also appeals to all ages
but targets younger people.
Example uses photography on his album cover to reflect the title
and also the darkness and seriousness of the which is a change as
most of his songs are upbeat. This make people want to buy the
album because they want to hear the new type of music example
has made. Also it stands out from most of the other albums in the
same genre as Example.
The dark side and light side could be imagery for good and bad.
Furthermore by having the shadowed side on a white background it
puts more emphasis on the shadow, which then gives you an
indication about what the album is called with out looking. The text
is small which indicates that they want you to focus on the picture.
However Example’s name is written in a yellow box which contrasts
between the black and white, moreover it also draws the eye to his
name.
