2016 was characterized by unparalleled dynamics in the area of artificial intelligence. Smart algorithms are entering more and more areas of our lives. They can diagnose our diseases, drive our cars and beat us in jeopardy or Go. They are getting better in image recognition and speech recognition. Soon the machines could outperform us in almost every area of our life.
But when we are asked about the one thing that distinguishes us from the machines, good chance that the answer will be "creativity". But what exactly is this creativity und why should it be uniquely human? Can a machine create a painting, compose a music piece or write a novel that would be indistinguishable or maybe even better than the artwork created by homo sapiens?
Our society has been interacting with robots for decades; plus, science fiction novels have given them a growing place in popular culture. Consumer robot kits are becoming very popular in K-12 school programs, library makerspaces and other collaborative learning spaces, as well as in people’s homes. In this webinar:
• Define what a robot is and what they are capable of doing
• Understand the history of robots and robotics
• Describe the various types of robots
• Learn how to get started building your own robot
• Create a robotics league

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert
In this presentation, we examine the challenges and limitations of relying too heavily on PHP frameworks in web development. We discuss the history of PHP and its frameworks to understand how this dependence has evolved. The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. We'll explore the importance of maintaining autonomy in a rapidly changing tech landscape and how to make informed decisions in PHP development.
This talk is aimed at encouraging a more independent approach to using PHP frameworks, moving towards a more flexible and future-proof approach to PHP development.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

LECTURE-2
2. Father of A.I. is John McCarthy
John McCarthy, an American computer scientist
pioneer and inventor, was known as the father of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) after playing a seminal role
in defining the field devoted to the development of
intelligent machines
3. According to the father of Artificial Intelligence, John
McCarthy, it is “The science and engineering of
making intelligent machines, especially intelligent
computer programs”.
Artificial Intelligence is a way of making a
computer, a computer-controlled robot, or a
software think intelligently, in the similar manner
the intelligent humans think.
AI is accomplished by studying how human brain
thinks, and how humans learn, decide, and work while
trying to solve a problem, and then using the outcomes
of this study as a basis of developing intelligent
software and systems.
4. Goals of Artificial Intelligence-
To Create Expert Systems −
The systems which exhibit intelligent behavior, learn,
demonstrate, explain, and advice its users.
To Implement Human Intelligence in Machines −
Creating systems that understand, think, learn, and
behave like humans.
5. What Contributes to AI?
Artificial intelligence is a science and technology based
on disciplines such as Computer Science, Biology,
Psychology, Linguistics, Mathematics, and Engineering. A
major thrust of Artificial intelligence is in the
development of computer functions associated with
human intelligence, such as reasoning, learning, and
problem solving.
6.
7. Programming Without and With Artificial Intelligence
Programming Without AI Programming With AI
A computer program without AI can
answer the specific questions it is
meant to solve.
A computer program with AI can
answer the generic questions it is
meant to solve.
Modification in the program leads to
change in its structure.
AI programs can absorb new
modifications by putting highly
independent pieces of information
together. Hence you can modify even
a minute piece of information of
program without affecting its
structure.
Modification is not quick and easy. It
may lead to affecting the program
adversely.
Quick and Easy program
modification.
8. What is AI Technique?
In the real world, the knowledge has some unwelcomed
properties −
Its volume is huge, next to unimaginable.
It is not well-organized or well-formatted.
It keeps changing constantly.
AI Technique is a manner to organize and use the
knowledge efficiently in such a way that −
It should be perceivable by the people who provide it.
It should be easily modifiable to correct errors.
It should be useful in many situations though it is
incomplete or inaccurate.
AI techniques elevate the speed of execution of the
complex program it is equipped with.
9. Applications of Artificial Intelligence
Gaming
Natural Language Programming
Expert System
Vision System
Speech Recognition
Writing Recognition
Intelligent Robots
10. Applications of Artificial Intelligence
Gaming-
AI plays crucial role in strategic games such as chess,
poker, tic-tac-toe, etc., where machine can think of large
number of possible positions based on heuristic
knowledge.
Natural Language Processing −
It is possible to interact with the computer that
understands natural language spoken by humans.
11. Applications of Artificial Intelligence
Expert Systems − There are some applications which
integrate machine, software, and special information to
impart reasoning and advising. They provide explanation
and advice to the users.
Vision Systems − These systems understand, interpret,
and comprehend visual input on the computer. For example,
A spying aeroplane takes photographs, which are used
to figure out spatial information or map of the areas.
Doctors use clinical expert system to diagnose the
patient.
Police use computer software that can recognize the
face of criminal with the stored portrait made by forensic
artist.
12. Applications of Artificial Intelligence
Speech Recognition
Some intelligent systems are capable of hearing and
comprehending the language in terms of sentences and
their meanings while a human talks to it. It can handle
different accents, slang words, noise in the background,
change in human’s noise due to cold, etc.
Handwriting Recognition
The handwriting recognition software reads the text
written on paper by a pen or on screen by a stylus. It
can recognize the shapes of the letters and convert it
into editable text.
13. Applications of Artificial Intelligence
Intelligent Robots
Robots are able to perform the tasks given by a human.
They have sensors to detect physical data from the real
world such as light, heat, temperature, movement,
sound, bump, and pressure. They have efficient
processors, multiple sensors and huge memory, to
exhibit intelligence. In addition, they are capable of
learning from their mistakes and they can adapt to the
new environment.
