The document proposes a solution to restore connectivity for fish migration over a spillway sill near the City Hall of Oradea, Romania. The solution involves installing a system of four winches, cables, and a rubber texture near the sill. The texture would be raised and lowered by the winches to carry fish over the sill. An electric motor attached to the river banks would power the winches. The solution aims to improve biodiversity by allowing longitudinal movement of migratory fish species along the Crisul Repede River while avoiding expensive modifications to existing infrastructure.

The simultaneous loop flow correction analysis in the water feed network of M...IJERA Editor
With increasing population growth and industrial development, water flow rates and other hydraulic
requirements associated with water distribution systems have been estimated to increase both national and local
scale. Water shortage will cause inconvenience to people’s life and it will impact city function and industrial
production. Hence to overcome this problem design and analysis of water distribution system is necessary to get
optimal discharge. In this paper a water pipeline network analysis with a case study of a small city (MinkokEdjombo)
in the southern Cameroon system has been undertaken. What prompted this study is that the case
study has a lot of fluctuations in its head loss. Also, the discharge is not proportional to the pipe diameter. The
study therefore adopted simultaneous loop flow correction method because it computes simultaneous flows
corrections for all loops, hence, the best since computational procedures takes into account the iterative
influence of flow corrections between loops which have common pipes. After applying the simultaneous loop
flow correction analyze in a twenty-four sampled pipeline network, a drastic reduction in head loss and regular
line along the axis was observed.
Besides, the rate at which the water flows was observed to be proportional to the pipe diameter. Hence, the
method is a useful aid in planning, designing and operating of reticulated pipeline network for higher efficiency
and improved economy.

Bio-Engineering Solutions for Restoring the PeŃa Creek, on the water sector...Răzvan Voicu
The issue of ecological restoration of water courses is a matter of public interest and has emerged as a consequence of human impact caused by the following factors:
industrialization, urbanization, agricultural and livestock activities, exploitation of
riverbeds materials, adjustment and embankment works etc.
The application of measures on restoring ecological status / potential of
deteriorated lotic systems, in accordance with W.F.D. (2000/60/EC) presents a
significant contribution to restoring functions (e.g. provisioning, regulating, supporting,
cultural) and implicitly services generated (ex. water quality) by the ecological systems
of natural capital.

The purpose of this paper is to propose solutions to renaturating the banks of the
PeŃa Creek, specifically in the river sector: PeŃa -> confluence to Hidisel creek –
discharging into the Crisul Repede River (L = 12.7 km) wich has been designated as
body of water heavily modified, in Crisuri River Area Management Plan. Considering
that this deteriorated sector has a moderate ecological potential, the objective is
restoring its ecological potential from moderate to good level in accordance with the
requirements of the WFD 2000/60 / EC.
In order to achieve its purpose in this paper, there was a detailed analysis of the
study area (documentation, field trips, analyzing data on biocenosis and water quality
and and data analysis to justify the designation of the body of water heavily modified)
and a river sector was selected in the unincorporated area of Oradea, Sânmartin
Village, Bihor County. This river sector has a length of 100 meters and has undergone
transformation as a result the regularization made in 1978.

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

ABSTRACT
In the Oradea town, the watercourse Crisul
Repede underwent morphological alterations
with a negative impact on the dynamics of
the watercourse. This river is provided with
a lot of spillway sills inside the town and,
according to the case study, one of them is
near the centre of the town. The channelled
of the river Crisul Repede inside the town
affected biodiversity and implicit the
ecobiome’s functionality on the Crisul
Repede River.
Therefore, this article aims to
provide a solution for migration fish fauna,
designed to restore longitudinal
connectivity.
REZUMAT:
In orasul Oradea, cursul de apa Crișul

hidromorfologice cu impact negativ asupra
dinamicii cursului de apă. Pe sectorul de râu,
care strabate orașul Oradea se află
numeroase praguri deversoare, și potrivit
studiului caz, prezentat in aceasta lucrare,
unul dintre aceste praguri este amplasat
aproape de centrul orașului. Canalizareaa

implicit funcționalitatea ecobiomului de pe
râul Crișul Repede. Prin urmare, acest
articol isi propune sa prezinte o solutie
pentru migrarea ihtiofaunei, menita sa
restabileasca conectivitatea longitudinala.
INTRODUCTION
There are many hydrotechnical
facilities along the Crisul Repede River,
including spillway sills. In the city of
Oradea there are some sills with the
following locations: CFR Bridge, the City
Hall of Oradea, Dacia Bridge etc. These
spillway sills seriously affect the
connectivity of the Crisul Repede River,
strongly reducing its biodiversity and
ecological valence, implicitly. The need for
longitudinal connectivity of watercourses
represents an essential condition for the
Water Framework Directive approved by the
European community and, therefore, it
should be applied to all streams containing
migratory species. The subject of this case
study proposes an ecotechnical solution
consisting of the frontal connectivity in the
city of Oradea. The solution proposed for
fish fauna migration upstream – downstream

of Oradea is practical, it can be developed
without any expensive technology and does
not affect the spillway sill structure and
associated construction.
THE SOLUTION PROPOSED FOR FISH FAUNA MIGRATION
To ease the migration of
ichthyofauna above the spillway sill (figure.
1 and figure. 2), a system consisting of four
winches provided with waterproof metal
cables should be developed. A rubbery
inelastic texture provided with rhombic
space is connected to the cables of the
winches. When it is raised, the texture will
hold the fish fauna (figure.3).

The motor will be supplied by the
means of a fixed cable near the jugged bar.
Then, the fixed cable turns into an arched
cable that can be extended up to the spillway
sill. Surveillance cameras will be installed
on both banks of the river in order to
observe various species of fish gathering
together near the sill, at the rubbery texture.
The electric motor and the winches are
connected to a computer and thus they can
be activated from tens of kilometres distance
by the means of some informational
programs. For migratory fish species to
reach the rubbery texture some
electromagnetic fields systems will be set
using floating generators obliquely
positioned on the spillway sill (figure.10).
The advantage of this solution is the
possibility to be applied in almost any area
of the world, it has an average execution
cost, low maintenance costs and, in the case
of invalidity, the technology already
installed can be transferred to another
spillway sill in another area.

CONCLUSION
This system of fish migration
upstream – downstream of the spillway sill
provides longitudinal connectivity of the
Crisul Repede River representing an
important issue in the local lotic ecosystem
restoration. The solution proposed in this
paper is practical, it can be developed
without any expensive technology and does
not affect the spillway sill structure and
associated construction.
