• If getting stung by a bee:
1. Determine if the stinger is still present
(look for a small black dot at the sting site) and remove
it immediately
2. Check present of:
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling of the face, throat or mouth tissue
• Wheezing or difficulty swallowing
• Restlessness and anxiety
• Rapid pulse
• Dizzines or a sharp drop in blood pressure
(need emergency care; prescribe Epinephrine stat)
3. Prescribe pain-killer (to relief pain)
• ibuprofen or acetaminophen
4. Clean-up the stung area with soap & water
• for further remedies
OTC remedies
• Calamine Lotion (give feeling of soothing
tingle.)
• Hydrocortisone Cream(fight skin irritation,
temporary action)
• antihistamine cream ( fast, effective relief &
fight the itchy)
• Benzocaine Sticks cream (The Benzocaine
deadens nerve endings)
Home remedies
• Apply ice wrapping for 20 minutes
• Toothpaste (give feel like scratching the itch)
• Meat tenderizer ,have Papain (enzyme) that
can break down toxins in bee venom
• Honey (give cool and soothing sensation)
• Raw onion / potato
