Why Married American Men Commit Extramarital Affairs
Hypothesis
Because men are more likely to get involved in sexual relationships outside their marriage due to
many different factors, I ve formulated multiple hypotheses below:
A.Hypothesis 1 Marital dissatisfaction will be one primary reason for men to cheat on their wives.
B.Hypothesis 2 Being married to the same women for many years, can be another potential reason
why men commit extramarital affairs.
C.Hypothesis 3 Working long distance will be a slightly reason why married men are unfaithful.
My hypotheses are connected to the literature that I described above. This is because past
researchers in their articles tried to show some possible reasons that influenced men to be unfaithful

be one. It is interesting that a Puritan would write such a love poem. Puritans are supposing to
have a relationship with God. I am surprised that she is writing something with so much emotion
in it. On line nine she states, Thy love is such I can no way repay (226). She means that the love
that her husband gives her is passionate and emotional, that there is no way that she could ever
repay him. She wants to share how great her and her husbands chemistry is and that is
endearing, because it is inspiring love. Another tone would be from Nor ought but love from thee,
give recompense, (226) she is adoring of her husband. The last two lines of this poem expresses her
endearing love. Then while we live, in love let s so persevere, that when we live no more, we may
