Jubilee Research Paper
When she became queen a few months later Churchill changed their mind quickly about how they felt
about the new queen. The reason why the Jubilee s are heavy are because they are actually made out
of gold and Diamonds.
One of her most major events was her dad died on February 6, 1952 when she was on her first stage of
her five month tour to Australia and New Zealand. When she got back home, she was automatically

She celebrated her 50 years on the throne in 2002 and got a Golden Jubilee and then in 2012 she got
her 60 year Diamond Jubilee. If she is still alive in 2022 she will have her 70 year Jubilee. She made it
the longest monarch to still be on the throne than anybody else and that also means she made it longer
than Queen Victoria. In February her sister died then in March her mother died in 2002 and that is why
they waited till June to give her the Golden Jubilee. The Golden Jubilee has the date 1952 thru 2002
and it has her name on it. The Golden Jubilee weighs 10 pounds. The Diamond Jubilee is a 20oz gold

The queen was cold and out of touch and unempathetic. It was a public perception that makes her very

Brief Summary
Case Name: Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Petitioner v. Abercrombie Fitch Stores,
Inc., No. 14 86 (2015)
Factual History: Ms. Samantha Elauf is a woman who is a practicing Muslim applied for a job at
Abercrombie Fitch Co., which is a national chain of clothing stores. Elauf was interviewed by the
store s assistant manager Heather Cooke, and her interview so went well that it appeared to Elauf that
she was going to get the job. Heather Cooke, the store manager who interviewed Samantha liked her
and recommended that she be hired. Cooke gave Elauf a rating, which qualified her to be hired,
however, she was concerned that her headscarf would conflict with Abercrombie s employee dress
policy. The headscarf that she wore according to her religious obligations conflicted with the store s
look policy . Cooke turned to Randall Johnson, the district manager, and informed Johnson that she
believed Elauf wore her headscarf because of her faith. She wanted to determine whether or not the
headscarf was in violation of this policy. Randall Johnson informed Cooke that Elauf s wearing
headscarf would violate the look policy , and therefore that Elauf should not be hired. As a result,
Elauf didn t get hired by Abercrombie Fitch Co.
Procedural History: The EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) sued Abercrombie on
the behalf of Elauf, claiming that Abercrombie s

American Lip Project Analysis
I entered the delicate balance project process with the intention of continuing the American chestnut
restoration project that I initiated last semester. I was enticed by the appeal of bringing a lapsed
keystone species back into the forests of Vermont, and the romantic legacy it might provide for my
project. Unfortunately, I encountered a few challenging roadblocks in the American chestnut project s
early stages of implementation, such as lack of availability of blight resistant seedlings and the reality
that non blight resistant seedlings would most likely die as they did at Sterling College.
Although I was enthusiastic about the hands on physical element of my original project, I did feel that
it lacked an element of social justice that I hoped to convey through my project.
Given the lackluster social implications of the chestnut project, combined with its high likelihood of
failure, I decided to look for a worthy past delicate project to continue or for a current project to join.
Ultimately, I wanted to find a project that combined my passion for political activism with

Over the course of several meeting with senate and specific senate members, it became clear that
senate was fully aware that something had to be done to involve students in campus wide decision
making and provide a forum where students needs and concerns could be shared.
We ended up collaborating with senate in presenting the first community conversation to the student
body. Although this proto community meeting didn t follow the structure of future community
meetings, it served to gauge student interest and exceeded our project proposals ideal results with a
turnout of over forty students (10% of the on campus student body). The feedback session we led the
following week was also a success, although, as expected, it did not generate the same level of
participation that the original community meeting

Student Engagement In Higher Education
When discussing student leadership development in higher engagement, it is important to discuss
desired outcomes. Most definitions of student engagement often contain unstated assumptions which
are important to the discussion of student engagement but actual observations of engagement
effectiveness provide another level of understanding. Engagement allows students to develop in
important ways, as noted by (Benismon, 2009, p.xxi. xxvi) productive engagement is an important
means by which students develop feelings about their peers, professors, and institutions that give them
a sense of connectedness, affiliation, and belonging, while simultaneously offering rich opportunities
for learning and development . These are certainly positive learning experiences that are worth the
effort required to attain them. (Rush Balamootsou, 2006, p. 6) Observed that: Engaging students share
the values and approaches to learning of their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Student engagement is a worthy goal and must be addressed as a just another passing fancy. It has
depth, and it has substance! The Wingspread Declaration on the Civic Responsibilities of Research
Universities posed a fundamental question: Is higher education ready to commit to engagement? Our
goal in calling the question is nothing less than the transformation of our nation s colleges and
universities. We believe engagement is the best hope for the future of higher education. A return to the
mission in which the advancement of discovery, learning, and the common good is fueled by
collaborative partnerships is a vision that is right for our time and for a world that looks to higher
education for clear direction (Brukardt, Holland, Percy, Zimpher, 2004, p. ll). This is a key question
that higher education must answer and it is closely aligned with student leadership

C Difficile
Clostridium difficile is a gram positive spore forming bacteria; first isolated and published in 1935 by
Hall and O Toole. This was accomplished from the stool of a healthy infant. However, it was not until
1978 that C. difficile was identified as being associated with many cases of antibiotic resistant
diarrhea.1 C. difficile has since become one of the leading causes of nosocomial infections in the
United States. A study conducted in 2015 has estimated that C. difficile infection has an incident of
453,000 (95% confidence interval) in the United States.2 This has placed a tremendous burden on the
US healthcare system. According to data from 2008, C. difficile infections have accumulated an
excess cost of $4.8 billion to the US healthcare system.3 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
difficile has had on the US population, many biochemical and physiological studies on C. difficile
have been conducted. In order to grow C. difficile, a defined culture medium containing the minimum
essential nutrients is required. These nutrients include several essential vitamins and amino acids. The
essential vitamins include biotin, pantothenate and pyridoxine. The essential amino acids include
cysteine, isoleucine, leucine, proline, tryptophan and valine. In addition, arginine, glycine, histidine,
methionine and threonine have been shown to enhance the growth of C. difficile.4 As a pathogen, C.
difficile utilizes two main toxins. The virulence factors, toxin A (TcdA) and toxin B (TcdB), are from
the large clostridial toxins family and target the Rho and Ras family GTPase within the host cells.5
Diversity in the genome of C. difficile have been identified and shown to produce strains with
increased virulence.6 It should be noted, however, that strains without virulence factors, non toxigenic
C. difficile (NTCD), do exist and have been shown to colonize in humans. NCTD is a topic of interest
in their potential to reduce the risk of infection by virulent strains of C.

Do Boycotts Work?
December 1, 1955, an African American woman named Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a
white passenger on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. By refusing to give up her seat, Rosa Parks
was arrested. Dr. King held a meeting at his church the next night to discuss ways of dealing with her
arrest and protesting her arrest. So, they decided that they would have a bus boycott, beginning on
Monday, December the 5th. Her refusal caused what is now known as the Montgomery Boycott. Since
the boycott caused a larger quantity of all black patrons, Dr. King realized that although a boycott was
needed, many of the patrons were afraid of taking a chance on boycotting because of the effect it may

The boycott changed the way black people could get around without using the bus system. Because of
state laws, bus segregation was allowed, forcing an organized bus boycott. This boycott caused
decreases, the demand curve shifted to the left, showing a higher availability of empty seats for bus
transportation and a lot less potential Black patrons as bus riders. With the boycott organized by Dr.
King for the citizens, blacks represented 44% of the population, so with the choices of transportation
limited for this demographic, substitute means were put in place from what was offered by the bus
transportation company. The substitutes that were organized included car pools and other means of
transportation which acted as competition for the transportation bus business. The bus companies were
ready to give in because they saw their profits decreased, and a rise in the number of citizens using an
alternate means of transportation. Because of the carpooling, the demand curve shifted to the right,
and the profits for the bus transportation industry

Themes and Symbolism in The Odyssey
In each story, the themes and symbols in them can bring a diverse look on the way the story is
interpreted and told. The Odyssey was written by the poet Homer dating all the back to the 8th
century. In the Greek epic poem, Homer tells the story of the main character Odysseus journey home
from the Trojan War. Many themes relating to the human condition are prevalent in the various
adventures faced by Odysseus, his men, and his family over the ten year journey. Homer uses
symbolism as well to portray these themes of wits trumping strength, man s weakness to temptation,
man s desire to seek revenge, and loyalty among characters. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Not only was the crew able to use enough will to overcome temptations, they also got out of difficult
situations using brain over brawn.
The first example of Odysseus using his brain over his brawn is when he tricks the cyclops into
drinking too much wine, causing him to pass out leading to Odysseus and his crew being able to
escape. This was one of the first major acts that got Odysseus crew to believe in him and follow him.
Another example of Odysseus using his wits is when he makes his crew put beeswax in their ears and
to tie him to a pole when going past the Sirens, who are creatures who sing beautiful songs luring
boats from the sea into their rocks crashing the ships. Again Odysseus using his wits to his advantage
when he finally has returned home to Ithaca and has a goddess turn him into an old man so he can
disguise himself to the suitors before he strings his bow and kills them all. To end the Trojan War,
Odysseus was the one who came up with the idea of the Trojan Horse that allowed Greece to defeat
Troy and overrun the city. From beginning to end does Odysseus use his brain to get him and his crew
out of tricky situations that many people would not have gotten out of. While Odysseus was able to
escape many close calls, sometimes the desire for revenge caught up to him.
The first example of revenge is when Poseidon seeks revenge on Odysseus for blinding the cyclops.
The cyclops then request help from his father, Hear me,

Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore
Documentaries are usually boring, just spitting facts at the viewers. Not Michael Moore s Bowling For
Columbine, this film was very different from any other documentary. It was not simply facts, instead
Moore took a different approach to get the attention of the less informed. Learning a lot throughout the
film, it would be a great recommendation for anyone looking to learn about the gun accessibility and
violence within America.
In this documentary, Moore begins by showing how easy it is to obtain a gun in America. He finds out
about a bank that is giving away guns at the opening of an account with them. Going into the bank
followed by a camera crew, Moore is granted the bank account with the accompanying gun, thus,
highlighting the easy accessibility of guns in America. However on Michael Moore s website, he
comes out and says that the bank scene is staged with hired actors, but it was inspired by an ad he had
seen in a Michigan newspaper in 2001 (Moore). This scene was very compelling, making the viewer
realize that gun regulations are quite lose. Upon finding out that the scene was not real, some of the
shock is lost, due to the fact that the process was most likely more complex than Moore had made it
seem. It is shocking that a bank would give away guns, of all things, to bring in new account holders,
and it was a good element that Moore brought into the film.
Many things have been said implying that this documentary is not in fact a documentary. Despite

Positive And Negative Effects Of Modern Technology
Modern Technology has had a great deal of influence on how we process information in the twenty
first Century. Business flourishes with the use of e mails to send for conferences or important
information in seconds, while the use of Skype has vastly increased how they interact in conferences
from all over the world. News was once posted once a day only through the papers and television, if
the information was not seen then it was not known to have happen whereas today, anytime of the day,
current or former information can be accessed. Children today will be interacting with their friends in
seconds and do not have to make plans ahead of time. However, people have abused how the Internet
was intended to be which has led to some undeniable, severe consequences. Technology has
negatively impacted how humans communicate through replacing the human connection, making
peoples attention span shorter than it used to be, and providing a need for people to receive shallow
and instant gratification about how people view a topic. Technological devices, experts assure us, are
becoming insensitive, instant human substitutes for the conventional user. Sherry Turkle, a Doctor of
Social Studies and Technology at MIT, states, We turn to machines for companionship even as we
seem pained or inconvenienced to...texting offers the right amount of access, the right amount of
control to distance people not too far or close (Turkle 2011). People are connected through the internet

The Birth Story Of Jesus And Interpreting It Today
The concept of a virginal birth could seem possible or probable with the advancement of modern
technology allowing women who wish to conceive a child the option of undergoing In Vitro
Fertilization to have a child without a male partner or need for sexual intercourse today. However, it is
perplexing how Mary, the mother of Jesus, miraculously conceived and bore a child as a virgin. On the
surface it may seem that it can simply be explained as a one time, divine intervention by God, yet the
details surrounding how this phenomenon occurred becomes much more complex after delving into
the accounts of this event in the books of Matthew and Luke. There are many issues surrounding who
and what the virgin Mary was in regards to her origins and the term virgin used to describe her. Also,
how this event manifested, the role Joseph played in this story, are important for unraveling the birth
story of Jesus and interpreting it today. I believe that it is reasonable to assume that Jesus was
conceived miraculously or supernaturally by a virgin female named Mary, and was naturally born in
this world. To have a better understanding of the virginal conception it is important to have
background information on the main characters involved, Mary and Joseph. The Proto Gospel, an
apostolic writing by Jesus half brother James, offers an omniscient perspective of Mary s origin and
upbringing through the birth of Jesus. This gives an important background for understanding the

How Social Media Shapes Musical Identities
The following proposal will be an overview of a short documentary project that will analyze and
discuss how social media shapes musical identities. To do this I will use Instagram, YouTube, and
Facebook to consider the interactions that happen through these mediums and also look into how this
relationship can form musical identities. Thus, I will use interview subjects who I will film interviews
with myself and I will also interview and use videos of fellow students on Mike Johnston s online
student page. I will use Jimmie Manning s chapter in the book, Beyond New Media by Herbig,
Herrmann, and Tyma to discuss the intricate nature of identity throughout this proposal to identify
some of the areas of focus such as public music identity and social mediated music identity. I will also
use things like Mcgee s theory of fragmentation and Megan Foley s sound bites to explain how
subjects subsume their social mediated music identities.
For this project I would like to do a short three to four minute documentary to analyze how social
media helps shape peoples musical identity in this technological era. I can only give an estimate at this
time because I know a lot of people who have said they would like to contribute to this project.
However, I also know life happens so that number may change that is why I have chosen to leave the
length a little open ended. The documentary will follow about four subjects five, including a few

Comparing Two Theories Of Moral Relativism
The difference between a right action and a wrong action plays a key role in many theories in
philosophy. Morality is an important aspect of life and majority of our actions are dependent on doing
what is moral or immoral. Moral relativism is the theory that defines whether an action is considered
moral or immoral. There are two forms of moral relativism, cultural relativism and individual
relativism, which are two theories about the morality of our actions. The two theories of moral
relativism provide a reasoning for the justification of moral or immoral actions. However, these
theories also present various contradictions that undermine the theories central ideas. Individual
relativism differs from cultural relativism because it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One criticism of cultural relativism is that it would not be acceptable to say that another society s
customs are inferior to our own. If morality is based on a culture s rules, it would be hypocritical to
tell another culture that what they are doing is wrong. It cannot be acceptable for one culture to
consider their own culture superior by believing that their set of rules is the true guidance for morality.
I believe this criticism raises an important issue. Since morality is constituted by different rules for
different cultures, there is no way of knowing what they ultimate truth is about what actions are
considered moral or immoral if one thing can be considered good in one society, but bad in another.
Individual relativism has also been challenged because it states the idea that the morality of our
actions can be determined by our own thoughts and intuitions. However, the criticism is that how can
establish morality by our own thinking if different people have conflicting ideas. I agree with this
criticism. There would be no certain way of legitimately establishing the morality of an action if that

Founding Brothers Sparknotes
Joseph J.Ellis provides an insight of how a nation emerged, with a group of memorable individuals
that founded the American Republic. Founding Brothers deals with confrontations and crucial issues
that Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Aaron Burr, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, James
Madison, and George Washington encountered during an undefined decade where a fragile nation was
being formed. With its main and secondary theme that focuses on the struggles the leaders of the
Revolutionary Generation dealt with for the success of a Union, Founding Brothers is a marvelous
book for historical readers that want an understanding of the political chaos of the early republic.
Founding Brothers immerses the reader into the minds of the founders of America and explores the
consequences of their actions. Divided into six chapters, Ellis demonstrates the thoughts, actions, and
interactions of the figures that created a nation. Collaboration is the main theme because without

Hallucination Disturbed Behavior Catatonia Paranoia I believe its a bit difficult to specify a specific

symptoms occur or lasted. One thing is for certain Etta does show symptoms as denoted above;
delusion hallucination, disturbed behavior, catatonia and paranoia. If I had to select a disorder from

Schizophreniform Disorder, because Etta believed her thoughts were controlled by Jesus, GM and

It is important that they understand what types of feelings they have right before setting a fire, while
setting a fire, and the feelings of release or relief when the fire has been set. Once these have been

Essay on Campus Unrest
Campus Unrest
In response to great opposition to United States involvement in the Vietnam War, the antiwar
movement of the 1960s sprung forth. A vast majority of involvement in this movement was
represented on college campuses across the nation. Many college students wholeheartedly believed
that the war in Vietnam served no point. America was simply once again sticking its nose in business
that was not our own. As a result of the war, universities nationwide in the sixties were in uproar as
students attempted to express their opinions through both violent and nonviolent means. Anti Vietnam
protests were first displayed through teach ins that took place during the fall and spring semesters (

Fitzpatrick on the other hand expressed a very different opinion: We are fighting in Vietnam not to
save our little brown brother, but to save ourselves...we live in a world today of civilizational struggle
(Hochman 1).The third professor, Susman, suddenly became extremely angry and bolted towards the
two, banging on the podium when he approached. The crowd witnessing the event went wild and
stood to applaud Susman, and the remainder of the teach in proved to be just as out of control. Eleven
speeches were given in all discussing U.S. involvement in Vietnam and other pertinent issues. This
teach in at Rutgers was similar to many others nationwide that took place on college campuses in
opposition to the war (Hochman 2). Another teach in took place at the University of California
Berkely. It was the largest teach in yet and it lasted for thirty six hours and over thirty thousand people
participated in it. There were also marches on Washington Avenue in which twenty five thousand
people attended. These marches became popular when the college students went home for the summer
(Wells 25). Also, in the early 1960s drastic social change was being pushed from another direction at
universities. An organization known as Students for a Democratic Society sprung forth in order to
instigate this type of reform ( Vietnam 2). Leaders of the SDS realized that many

How Milling Is A Vital Process For Minimizing The Machined...
Milling is a vital process used in the industry to make and assembling the components. The extensive
and expensive experimental work is necessary to determine the optimal of machining process
parameters for obtaining the desired machined quality. In this regard, the present work is focused on
the relationship between the input process parameters and machined surface integrity for minimizing
the machined damage. Moreover, the paper presents the comparative analysis and performance of two
different mill tools such as a specially designed carbide tipped tool and a solid carbide tool.
Subsequently, comparing the evaluation of two tools was illustrated by plotting origin graphs. Finally,
experimental results were thoroughly analyzed by Scanning electron microscope (SEM) to investigate
the cutting characteristics of machined laminates.
Keywords: compression moulding technique, cutting process parameters, End milling tools, GFRP
composite laminates, SEM.
Introduction
FRP composites having superior material properties when compared with metals, improved corrosion
resistance, fatigue resistance, less weight to strength ratio and high fracture toughness. Hence GFRP
composites frequently used in several applications like sports goods, racing car bodies and aerospace
components [1]. Often composite products manufactured by near net shapes. The components made
by secondary machining processes are involving to get good dimensional accuracy and geometrical
shapes done by turning, drilling

Fake Real News
These days, if the media is not about some insignificant celebrity gossip, it is focusing on spinning a
controversy in one form or another. There has been a blurring of the boundary between news and pop
culture. In the book Understanding Popular Music by Roy Shuker, Kathleen Turner said that Popular
culture and the mass media have a symbiotic relationship: each depends on the other in an intimate
collaboration. Most news networks are over saturated with low quality information and convince
people that what is shown is based on facts. Enter The Daily Show with John Stewart and the Colbert
Report who blur the line between comedy and journalism. Both shows are satirical news television
programs that appear on a comedy channel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And the satirist was more successful in doing so than any other news outlet we measured. (Hardy,
Gottfriend, Winneg, Jamieson 23).
The study also mentioned that Colbert was more successful informing his viewers about Super Pac s
than other types of news media. Some might argue that with their present influence come certain
ethical obligations. Media expert Bruce A. Williams and Michael X. Delli Carpini write that even fake
news shows should be held to some journalistic standards. However, that claim cannot be taken
seriously when both Williams and Carpini are aware that the Daily Show and Colbert Report are both
fake news . That would be the same as holding counterfeit clothes equal to the standards of their
original brands. We do not hold political pundits on mainstream media outlets to the traditional
standards of objectivity and ethics, so why should we do it to a couple of comedians? One of the
reasons why The Daily Show and The Colbert Report have become widely popular as news sources is
because of the widespread dissatisfaction with current politics and the mainstream media. Martin
Kaplan, associate dean of the University of Southern California s Annenberg School for
Communication agrees with the sentiment. Straight news is not what it used to be, he says. (Smolkin).
The regular news is still a place where somebody is able to

The Holy Bible is a book that can be found almost anywhere on the earth. Almost every family in
western countries has a version of Bible, so it has come to be one of the major sources of English
culture. It has been translated into more than 2000 different languages and dialects. It is also the world
most popular book. Every year s more copies of the Bible are sold than any other publication, and the
number of sales is increasing. The word Bible is derived from the Greek meaning book or books. The

Bullying Is The Job Of Parents And Schools
Bullying is when you force someone to do something they do not want to, and it can cause stress or
then leads to suicide in some cases. In Schoolyard Bullies by Stephanie Simon, prosecutor James
Backstrom maintains school bullies should go to jail. However, I do not think bullies should go to jail,
because there are different degrees of bullying. Some bullies are victims, and sending bullies to jail
does not cure them. Stopping bullying is the job of parents and schools. Parents play a key role in
preventing and responding to bullying. Parents should recognize the warning signs that the child is
involved in bullying. Children could be being bullied, bullying others, or witnessing bullying.
Although these signs could signal other issues, parents should talk to their children if they display any
sort of behavioral or emotional changes. Many times children won t ask for help, so it is important to
know what to look for. If the child is at immediate risk of harming himself or others, parents need to
get help right away. Just sending the children who are bullies to go to jail, and doing jail time are not a
good way to correct children s behaviors. I understand the rationale . . . , but incarceration is a fairly
big stick, says Susan Limber, a bullying expert at Clemson University. You can get the same payoff
with a lot less drastic measures (Simon 2). Moreover, if the children go to jail, they might not change
their mind, even though their behavior will be

Visions Of Nature Reflection Report
Visions of Nature Reflection
Visions of Nature Reflection When the Visions of Nature project was first explained in the beginning
of the course I was immediately worried about how I would be able to create something that
represented the natural world in an artistic way. Personally, I am not the most skilled in the world of
art through visual and esthetically pleasing mediums. My artistic peak was reached in kindergarten
when I made an impressive elephant with finger paint before the school s annual trip to the National
Zoo. At first I struggled with deciding what type of project to pursue. I wanted to do something
meaningful and original, but the best I could think of was either to make a video or maybe a collage. It
wasn t until I was walking back to my dorm room late one night when it presented itself, literally. It
was a pretty peaceful evening when I was passing the Dominion residence building. I did not see or
hear anyone or anything around me. It was completely silent when out of nowhere a shopping cart
came rolling off the top set of stairs and crashed onto the grass in front of me. After the cart had
ceased to move it was completely silent again. That is when I decided that I would make a shopping
cart garden. It would be an interesting piece that would capture people s attention and would not
require me to torture my fellow classmates with my sub par finger painting. The garden would give a
tangible source for observers that would create a larger impact than

Review Of Who Moved My Cheese
Who Moved My Cheese is about how to make changes in your life and work. The story has four
characters Hem and Haw, who are human. And Sniff and Scurry, who are mice. They are metaphors
for different parts of your life. They all have a task in hand, to find cheese. Cheese is a person s life
goals. In the maze, or a person s environment is where they need to seek cheese.
Both the mice and the humans pair off. They all need to find cheese, which is success. The humans
and the mice find cheese. The humans act like their in charge and decide who they will consume the
cheese. The mice return to the station with cheese, but there isn t any left. They aren t shocked by
what they find.
I feel like it s another metaphor, people trying to find achievement any cost. They will do whatever it
takes to be on top. So they step on people and don t care about the outcome. It s them above everyone
else. Eventually all of the cheese is gone. And when the mice find out, they leave and go on to the next
station. They knew this would be the outcome. It s like every man for himself. The humans are
angered by the absence of the cheese. Hem and Haw are ill equipped because they depended on the
cheese for support. This is a metaphor for working and eventually being fired from your job. You have
taken it for granted and have become unprofessional, so you re let go.
One human, haw thinks of looking for new start. He was suggesting moving on from this step back
and starting a new life. But Hem is

The Physics Of Physical Therapy
The Physics in Physical Therapy Physical therapy has grown increasing more useful as the years
progress and more is learned about the human body and its movements, interactions, and mechanisms.
Someone may go to physical therapy for injury, recovery, in order to maintain function, or even due to
a stroke and is trying to work on walking again. Patients of a physical therapist can include, but is not
limited to, elderly, children, accident victims, athletes, those with conditions such as arthritis or
fractures, etc. The possibilities are endless for potential physical therapy patients (Mayo Clinic School
of Health Sciences). Physical therapy is the scientific physical procedures used in the treatment of
patients with a disability, disease, or injury to achieve and maintain function and to prevent
malfunction or deformity. One of the most important tasks that physical therapists perform is the
various forms of therapeutic exercise that are used to increase strength and endurance to improve
coordination and functional movement for activities of daily living and to increase and maintain range
of motion (APTA History). Some of the first known practices of physical therapy are from the early
Greek and Romans. They had writings that said both the sun and water were beneficial. The Chinese,
Persians, Egyptians, and Greeks said exercise and massage were beneficial. The first school of therapy
was established at Walter Reed Army Hospital, Washington, D.C. after World War I

The Importance Of Setting In The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow
Could anybody ask for a better name then Sleepy Hollow for this town. All the people of the town are
sleepy and inactive. There is also a hollow along the Hudson River which is right up close to the town.
In this short story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Irving captures the setting well through
description, how it affects the characters, and the way it fits with gothic attributes of this time. In the
first couple paragraphs it shows how much Irving wants us to get the creepy and scared feeling. Not
far from this village, perhaps about two miles, there is a little valley or rather lap of land among high
hills, which is one of the quietest places in the world (1). This is saying that even around the village it
is quiet and still. There is emptiness surrounding the village, lurking and waiting for somebody to pass
by. This short story has the characters behaviors reflecting the way the setting is described. In this by
place of nature there abode, in a remote period of American history, that is to say, some thirty years
since, a worthy weight of the name of Ichabod Crane, who sojourned, or, as he expressed it, tarried, in

The Exodus Source Analysis Essay
The Exodus
In this source analysis paper I will be analyzing the Bible, specifically Exodus, to explore the Israelite
people during their time of wandering from Egypt to the Promised Land and why it took them so long
to reach their destination. It will also touch on Moses and his descendants and reason as to why he was
able to look at the land, but unable to go and live there.
To give a brief description, Exodus is a Greek word that translates to departure or going out. A large
chunk of Exodus as well as Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy follow the Israelites in their
departure from Egypt to the Promised Land under the leadership of Moses (Coogan and Redmount
2001, 58). This story has become an important moment in the Israelite faith as ... Show more content

Enzymes Essays
Enzymes Enzymes are complex proteins that carry out essentially every chemical reaction in the
human body. Enzymes function as biological catalyst, regulating the rate at which chemical reactions
proceed without themselves being altered in the process.
In this particular experiment we recognized benzoquinone and examined two numbers of factors to
determine their effects on enzyme action. The factors were temperature and specificity (how
discriminating the enzyme is in catalyzing different potential substrates). The enzyme that we
examined was catechol oxidase also known as tyrosinase.
II. RESULTS

DISCUSSION
1. We know that the substrates of catechol oxidase are catechol and oxygen. The substrates react with
one another within the active site of the enzyme. The products formed by this reaction are
benzoquinone and water. In this exercise we mixed the ingredients, stirred them, and incubate them at
40°C. We formed in tube 2a the product benzoquinone, observed its color change, and established a
color intensity scale.
2. In our second exercise we determined the ability of the enzyme cathecol oxidase to catalyze the
oxidation of two different but structurally similar substrates: cathecol and hydroquinone. Examining
their chemical structure we noticed that both are ring structures with two hydroxyl groups attached.
The question was if the enzyme could also convert it to benzoquinone. We observed how
discriminating cathecol oxidise is for particular substrates by comparing the color intensity of the
solutions in each test tubes with the standards produced in the first section (Table 1). We recorded
them in Table 2.
After 10 min we recorded the color intensity in Table 3. Our conclusion was that cathecol is stronger
enzyme than hydroquinone and that the enzyme is simply too specific to interact with the similar but
not identical molecule.

Were The Colonists Justified In The Revolutionary War
Hook. Both during and before The Revolutionary War happened, Britain killed many of the Patriots
who fought against independence from Britain. King George III made laws that took advantage of the
colonists and Britain did not give them equal rights. The Patriots were justified in seeking
independence from England, because England abused the colonists, capitalized on them, and
controlled their rights.
One reason the Patriots were right for wanting to separate from England is that they were abused by
England. On March 5, 1770, the Boston Massacre took place. This fight was a clash between the
British soldiers and the Boston Colonists (Garcia R44). During the massacre, five colonists were
killed by the British soldiers. After this event took ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One way England controlled their rights was through placing restrictions on trade. When this rule was
implemented the colonist grew angry. Not only did Britain not have all the supplies that the colonies
needed but they taxed very high on all of the goods the colonies needed or wanted. Another example
of when England controlled the colonists rights is when King George III closed their congress and
said that Parliament had supreme rule over the colonies. In this instance King George III eliminated
colonial self governance, so that they would be less likely to uprise. The Patriots responded to this by
becoming more frustrated with the king and increased their desire for independence. Another example
of when England controlled the colonies rights is when they revolt the right to a fair trial for the
colonist accused of wrongdoing. If the colonists was accused of a wrongdoing by Britain, the British
would capture them and send them to England for a trial. The trial would occur in England rather in
the colonies. The colonists could not defend themselves because no one in England would defend
them making for a very unfair legal process. This is in contrast to what happened after the Boston
Massacre, when the colonists gave the five British soldiers a fair trial. During the trial, the accused
British soldiers were given John Adams, who is one of the best

Summary and Arragnement of the Book, Count of Monte Cristo...
Book Tittle: Count of Monte Cristo Genre: Fiction Author: Alexandre Dumas Number of Pages: 634
Summary and Arrangement of the book: The general arrangement of the book is that it is broken up
into short, event oriented chapters. Each chapter focuses specifically on the details f a single event
with little deviance in terms of the story line. The chapters build upon each other in a way that creates
a well rounded understanding of the protagonist Edmond Dantés life. The fist four chapters focus on
Dantés accomplishments and his success. Dumas highlights all that is positive in Dantés life such as
him becoming captain of the Pharaon at such a young age and that he is finally able to marry the love
of his life, Mercedes. The fourth chapter is the turning point in which Dantés life turns from joy to
suffering. Chapters five and six are where Dantés fate is decided. He is captured on suspicion of being
a Bonapartist, however, upon examination, the officer Villefort decides that Dantés is innocent and is
prepared to grant him his freedom and release him from all charges until Dantés let slip the name of
whom he was unintentionally meant to deliver a Bonapartist letter to. Villefort recognizes the name
and address to be that of his own father. In protecting his reputation, Villefort burns the letter and has
Dantés imprisoned in the Château D If. Chapter seven only finalizes the decision of Villefort to

HARCOURT MUNICIPAL)
ABSTRACT
This study focused on The Role of Achievement Motivation in Industrial development: A study of Port
Harcourt Municipal. The onus of the research was to X ray the extent to which the role of achievement
motivation from childhood could be instrumental to industrial development in Nigerian. In addition,
some of the major objectives were to discover if the values of a given soda economic milieu and
achievement motivation could have a blend and affect a nation s level of industrial development; to
unravel the existence of low level of achievement values and lack of industrial growth.
The researcher raised some hypothesis. These hypotheses were to establish if there is a significant
relationship between the inability to inculcate achievement motivation in an individual and low level
of its contribution to industrial development later in life; also to find out, if the more a family
inculcates achievement values in a child through socialization, the more, or the higher the tendencies
for the child to work hard and contribute meaningfully to industrial development.

When she got back home, she was automatically became queen and when she got back on February 8 she had to take an oath for the accession in front of the Privy Council. Abercrombie Fitch Stores, Inc., No. 14 86 (2015) Factual History: Ms. Samantha Elauf is a woman who is a practicing Muslim applied for a job at Abercrombie Fitch Co., which is a national chain of clothing stores. Elauf was interviewed by the store s assistant manager Heather Cooke, and her interview so went well that it appeared to Elauf that she was going to get the job. Heather Cooke, the store manager who interviewed Samantha liked her and recommended that she be hired. Cooke gave Elauf a rating, which qualified her to be hired, however, she was concerned that her headscarf would conflict with Abercrombie s employee dress policy. The headscarf that she wore according to her religious obligations conflicted with the store s look policy . Cooke turned to Randall Johnson, the district manager, and informed Johnson that she believed Elauf wore her headscarf because of her faith. She wanted to determine whether or not the headscarf was in violation of this policy. Randall Johnson informed Cooke that Elauf s wearing headscarf would violate the look policy , and therefore that Elauf should not be hired. As a result, Elauf didn t get hired by Abercrombie Fitch Co. • 4. American Lip Project Analysis I entered the delicate balance project process with the intention of continuing the American chestnut restoration project that I initiated last semester. I was enticed by the appeal of bringing a lapsed keystone species back into the forests of Vermont, and the romantic legacy it might provide for my project. Unfortunately, I encountered a few challenging roadblocks in the American chestnut project s early stages of implementation, such as lack of availability of blight resistant seedlings and the reality that non blight resistant seedlings would most likely die as they did at Sterling College. Although I was enthusiastic about the hands on physical element of my original project, I did feel that it lacked an element of social justice that I hoped to convey through my project. Given the lackluster social implications of the chestnut project, combined with its high likelihood of failure, I decided to look for a worthy past delicate project to continue or for a current project to join. Ultimately, I wanted to find a project that combined my passion for political activism with meaningful, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most definitions of student engagement often contain unstated assumptions which are important to the discussion of student engagement but actual observations of engagement effectiveness provide another level of understanding. • 9. Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore Documentaries are usually boring, just spitting facts at the viewers. Not Michael Moore s Bowling For Columbine, this film was very different from any other documentary. It was not simply facts, instead Moore took a different approach to get the attention of the less informed. Learning a lot throughout the film, it would be a great recommendation for anyone looking to learn about the gun accessibility and violence within America. In this documentary, Moore begins by showing how easy it is to obtain a gun in America. He finds out about a bank that is giving away guns at the opening of an account with them. Going into the bank followed by a camera crew, Moore is granted the bank account with the accompanying gun, thus, highlighting the easy accessibility of guns in America. However on Michael Moore s website, he comes out and says that the bank scene is staged with hired actors, but it was inspired by an ad he had seen in a Michigan newspaper in 2001 (Moore). This scene was very compelling, making the viewer realize that gun regulations are quite lose. Upon finding out that the scene was not real, some of the shock is lost, due to the fact that the process was most likely more complex than Moore had made it seem. It is shocking that a bank would give away guns, of all things, to bring in new account holders, and it was a good element that Moore brought into the film. • 10. Positive And Negative Effects Of Modern Technology Modern Technology has had a great deal of influence on how we process information in the twenty first Century. Business flourishes with the use of e mails to send for conferences or important information in seconds, while the use of Skype has vastly increased how they interact in conferences from all over the world. News was once posted once a day only through the papers and television, if the information was not seen then it was not known to have happen whereas today, anytime of the day, current or former information can be accessed. Children today will be interacting with their friends in seconds and do not have to make plans ahead of time. However, people have abused how the Internet was intended to be which has led to some undeniable, severe consequences. Technology has negatively impacted how humans communicate through replacing the human connection, making peoples attention span shorter than it used to be, and providing a need for people to receive shallow and instant gratification about how people view a topic. Technological devices, experts assure us, are becoming insensitive, instant human substitutes for the conventional user. • 14. The Birth Story Of Jesus And Interpreting It Today The concept of a virginal birth could seem possible or probable with the advancement of modern technology allowing women who wish to conceive a child the option of undergoing In Vitro Fertilization to have a child without a male partner or need for sexual intercourse today. However, it is perplexing how Mary, the mother of Jesus, miraculously conceived and bore a child as a virgin. On the surface it may seem that it can simply be explained as a one time, divine intervention by God, yet the details surrounding how this phenomenon occurred becomes much more complex after delving into the accounts of this event in the books of Matthew and Luke. There are many issues surrounding who and what the virgin Mary was in regards to her origins and the term virgin used to describe her. Also, how this event manifested, the role Joseph played in this story, are important for unraveling the birth story of Jesus and interpreting it today. I believe that it is reasonable to assume that Jesus was conceived miraculously or supernaturally by a virgin female named Mary, and was naturally born in this world. To have a better understanding of the virginal conception it is important to have background information on the main characters involved, Mary and Joseph. The Proto Gospel, an apostolic writing by Jesus half brother James, offers an omniscient perspective of Mary s origin and upbringing through the birth of Jesus. Thus, I will use interview subjects who I will film interviews with myself and I will also interview and use videos of fellow students on Mike Johnston s online student page. I will use Jimmie Manning s chapter in the book, Beyond New Media by Herbig, Herrmann, and Tyma to discuss the intricate nature of identity throughout this proposal to identify some of the areas of focus such as public music identity and social mediated music identity. I will also use things like Mcgee s theory of fragmentation and Megan Foley s sound bites to explain how subjects subsume their social mediated music identities. For this project I would like to do a short three to four minute documentary to analyze how social media helps shape peoples musical identity in this technological era. I can only give an estimate at this time because I know a lot of people who have said they would like to contribute to this project. Since location information may private information, preserving location privacy has become a significant issue. Previously studied methods to preserve a users privacy; physical constraints are not taken in consideration for most of them. In this paper, we constantly focus on such constraints and purpose of a location privacy preservation method which can be applicable to a real environment. In particular, our method anonymizes the user s location which generates dummies which we simulate to behave like an real human. The model also considers traceability of the user s locations which can quickly recover from an accidental reveal of the user s location. • 17. Comparing Two Theories Of Moral Relativism The difference between a right action and a wrong action plays a key role in many theories in philosophy. Morality is an important aspect of life and majority of our actions are dependent on doing what is moral or immoral. Moral relativism is the theory that defines whether an action is considered moral or immoral. There are two forms of moral relativism, cultural relativism and individual relativism, which are two theories about the morality of our actions. The two theories of moral relativism provide a reasoning for the justification of moral or immoral actions. However, these theories also present various contradictions that undermine the theories central ideas. Individual relativism differs from cultural relativism because it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One criticism of cultural relativism is that it would not be acceptable to say that another society s customs are inferior to our own. If morality is based on a culture s rules, it would be hypocritical to tell another culture that what they are doing is wrong. It cannot be acceptable for one culture to consider their own culture superior by believing that their set of rules is the true guidance for morality. I believe this criticism raises an important issue. Since morality is constituted by different rules for different cultures, there is no way of knowing what they ultimate truth is about what actions are considered moral or immoral if one thing can be considered good in one society, but bad in another. Individual relativism has also been challenged because it states the idea that the morality of our actions can be determined by our own thoughts and intuitions. However, the criticism is that how can establish morality by our own thinking if different people have conflicting ideas. I agree with this criticism. In Schoolyard Bullies by Stephanie Simon, prosecutor James Backstrom maintains school bullies should go to jail. However, I do not think bullies should go to jail, because there are different degrees of bullying. Some bullies are victims, and sending bullies to jail does not cure them. Stopping bullying is the job of parents and schools. Parents play a key role in preventing and responding to bullying. Parents should recognize the warning signs that the child is involved in bullying. Children could be being bullied, bullying others, or witnessing bullying. Although these signs could signal other issues, parents should talk to their children if they display any sort of behavioral or emotional changes. Many times children won t ask for help, so it is important to know what to look for. If the child is at immediate risk of harming himself or others, parents need to get help right away. Just sending the children who are bullies to go to jail, and doing jail time are not a good way to correct children s behaviors. I understand the rationale . . . , but incarceration is a fairly big stick, says Susan Limber, a bullying expert at Clemson University. We know that the substrates of catechol oxidase are catechol and oxygen. The substrates react with one another within the active site of the enzyme. The products formed by this reaction are benzoquinone and water. In this exercise we mixed the ingredients, stirred them, and incubate them at 40°C. We formed in tube 2a the product benzoquinone, observed its color change, and established a color intensity scale. 2. In our second exercise we determined the ability of the enzyme cathecol oxidase to catalyze the oxidation of two different but structurally similar substrates: cathecol and hydroquinone. Examining their chemical structure we noticed that both are ring structures with two hydroxyl groups attached. The question was if the enzyme could also convert it to benzoquinone. We observed how discriminating cathecol oxidise is for particular substrates by comparing the color intensity of the solutions in each test tubes with the standards produced in the first section (Table 1). We recorded them in Table 2. After 10 min we recorded the color intensity in Table 3. Our conclusion was that cathecol is stronger enzyme than hydroquinone and that the enzyme is simply too specific to interact with the similar but not identical molecule. 3. ...
