1. Are We Really Independent?
15 August and 1947. A date that asked questions on the British Rule.
But the real question is that, did we really become independent on that
date onwards? Really became independent? On my opinion – No, sorry.
We didn’t. In reality we still aren’t that independent even today.
We just have changed the slavery. First the British crown used to rule
on us, now it is democracy. If I say in another way that first British
people used to suck our independency, now it all is happening by our
own. So, does that mean that we haven’t become independent at all?
No, even that can’t be said. We have become independent. We have
right to choose our own people and to give vote. But have we become
independent by this right only? No, in addition to that we have the right
of expressing our own independent thoughts, speech, education and
spending a life we want to.
So, why are we not independent? ‘Independency’ word’s meaning goes
deep down. ‘Independency’ means to become free of any type of bond.
Our freedom fighters did make our country free from the rule of English
people, but those bravehearts sitting in heaven might be feeling sad
now. Sad of the truth, that in some of the beliefs our country is
nondependent. In which the very much vicious and dangerous bond is
of our ‘thoughts’. Yes, our country has become ‘modern’ just to speak
but really we didn’t.

2. If it had for real we would be a lot developed. If I start considering
‘Women Empowerment’ we don’t stand a place. Because where a
woman is not sure that if she will be pregnant with a girl child her
husband will accept her, plus will he ever pay his duties towards her
daughter or not, where there is no guarantee if the girl will be given the
education to discover herself, what am I supposed to say for the
country about ‘women empowerment’? In this type of society just to
fight your way around carving yourself is a big thing. For such triumph
our country’s Women are undoubtedly respectful characters.
Even to this date there haven’t gone the beliefs of these types.
Whenever a beautiful girl walks by a street there will be men of cursed
mind misbehaving with her. These types of cursed minded people are
not less. The society in which ‘Foretold nice men’ having an opinion for
a girl about being an ‘item of use & throw’ also needs to be polished
from the root level. Maybe these types of men won’t have ‘mother’ or
‘sister’ in their house or they’d also be abusing them in their thoughts
because of which these types of men are increasing in society. And if
these types of persons come in the politics and if chosen, then the
society’s also the world’s peace is at risk.
If I start about politics, our country’s development velocity will increase
only at the speed of traffic at crossroads at red lights. Even by
welcoming American President and making MOU’s with International
Firms our prime minister can impress innocent minds, but he also

3. knows that the true progress is still to be made. It won’t be possible
that being a politician he will work in harmony with opposition. What if
the political leaders accusing each other of country’s present condition
in Social Media work together? What if the lost political parties accept
their defeat and try to find out what remained to make their
countrymen happy? In addition to that is what if they try to make the
better place whichever places they have won, even few? Also the
winning party tries to lead harmony with a sincere responsibility to
overcome India’s present economic crisis? The time that’s being wasted
in accusations can be used in a nice development.
I know that it seems like a dream. But, didn’t our freedom fighters also
dreamt of this future India? Is there any contribution of ours into
fulfilling this dream of theirs? It’s possible. You know. Everything is
possible! Because the bone fire always starts from one leading to all. It
always starts from one and exceeds.
It is the incident of one day. In the travel of Kutch, to drink tea me and
some known persons went to a restaurant. I saw a kid of 8 to 9 years
age serving tea. As soon as he served a customer at a distance from me
I got clear view of his hand. His hands part of elbow was badly burn. It
didn’t take me time to understand that just like this way serving a tea
to someone he might have actually burnt his elbow. After a time span
of four months, I again saw the same kid in Ahmedabad. Now, this time
in the line of beggars begging for money. His leg which was fine before,
now it wasn’t. This incident is still inside my head, pretty clearly I can
describe it.

4. What’s the purpose to mention this? Only is that our country is so poor
that to hold expenditure of a family a kid has to wander for work, that
kid has to serve cups of tea in restaurants in spite of being in school,
that kid have to work in firecrackers factory. To these kids the so called
‘pure gangs’ waste their life after kidnapping them, by making them
physically handicapped sending them to beg on the roads. The country
in which the children themselves are not independent, are the people
of that country truly independent? A question also goes on to us that
when we see these child labors around us, do we take any actions such
in that manner? If yes, then we really have contributed in the
development of this country. If not, then we are not aware of our
national duties.
Apart from that if I talk about India’s Unity, every type of religion lives
in this country. Day-to-day we read the news about the riots between
religious peoples. It’s been common to see fights and riots between
two different religious groups. That happens because some die-hard
religious people react violently when a religions people are praised
considering their own were distorted/insulted. Lacks and Thousands of
innocent lives put at stake. But no one understands that if there exists a
man only then exists a religion. We have made religions, religions didn’t
create us. Religion is from us, we aren’t from religion. In the riots
between religions, man forgets his own religion which is supreme of all
religions. That is the religion of Humanity. At very first we are human
and then we are male or female after which we are Hindu or Muslim or
Christian or whatever.

5. The over acceptance of one’s religion and hatred of other’s religion has
to be removed by human. Do respect your own religion, but don’t
disrespect other’s religion. It can’t be said that to prevent riots, we
should destroy religion, because religion itself is the pioneer for self-
development in a human’s life. Religion is the base that spreads
difference in minds and creates culture. If the kids are taught from their
childhood about this then they in future, will surely be able to conduct
something of themselves. Some blindfolded people by spreading the
promotions of their religions start to change other people’s religion
forcefully into them. These types of people must be human without
existence.
The resistant thing to make our country self-dependent is our attraction
over foreign cultures: Waking up from morning with the foreign brands’
toothpaste to the sleeping clothes of other country at night. How many
things are there in our house which were actually are of our own
country? And how many things are there which is made by an Indian
country? There are so many branded companies of India which are
ready to give quality material to the country. These companies also
promote themselves. Then why our people don’t accept these
products? The reason is our mentality. Our mentality and thought
procedure has become like- “If this product is from foreign then with
guarantee it will be the best.” We simply don’t trust products made by
our own people, well not in comparison to the other countries!
In everybody’s house morning’s tooth-brush, toothpaste; dress and
watch while going for office; Vehicle for the purpose of navigation;

6. sun-glasses to save eyes from sun’s direct heat; mobile phone for
communication, etc everything are of foreign, then what of our
country? We don’t trust the material’s quality of our own country’s
products. If we start using products made in our own country, then our
country will start to earn so much that we will be able to export to
foreign and moreover to it is that the problem of unemployment will
start to solve out. Even our language is foreign! We can get to know
how many persons knowing national language Hindi is there and how
many are there knowing international language English, if we fall for
statistics.
My concern just doesn’t stop from here. Education. The way our
country’s education system is changing, there will be no other country
to have change in education in such dramatic manner like this! In
previous times there used to be foreign people to come to our country
for the purpose of education in Kashi, now ours go to foreign for ‘higher
studies’! We had resources of books of knowledge and inventions in
our country. Where did these resources go? Went out of existence at
just night? No, some of them went to different countries and some of
them were burnt. Famous invention of different countries are popular
are from some of our researches, which now isn’t.
Education System! Many college and Universities are inaugurated but in
double numbers opens the tuitions and classes. Some parents send
their kids to school but only for presence. The students visit to tuitions
more than they go to college or schools. In some schools no such
activities are held on the name of education. Parents send their

7. children to costly tuition classes for which they have to go over budget,
whereas on the other side stands children which only have seen the
schools just from the outside because they don’t have such situations
to let their children complete their studies. If I talk about teaching
system then, the tuition teachers guarantee that if they will be teaching
the children, more than 90 out of 100 marks will be in the result! No
such tuitions ever guarantee that if we’ll teach your students, the
knowledge will be permanently sufficed in their minds and will be
proven to be useful. No one says that? Now, just think what these kids
will be in future? Answer is, yes another people eager to send their kids
to gain marks, not for knowledge!
As a citizen of this country, the second tensed matter can be said about
the scams and corruption. If including all the corrupt and scams get
caught, probably our country’s jails will be out of stock! The little-little
scams don’t just get caught! Because maybe in our country the savior is
the one who is an attacker. Maybe these corrupt people won’t have
feelings of love towards their country! Illegal constructions, thieves,
bribers, sex-crazy ‘so called’ saints, etc have been increased to the
extent which makes everyone feel like the country is a corrupt hollow
country. What if we take oath to work with pure heart in our field then?
If only a half of generation decides and follows this action the growth
rate of country will increase breaking records!
As a responsible citizen I also cannot state any contribution towards the
country. In the incident of the kid which I mentioned above, I could
have helped the poor kid, but the type of good thought didn’t occur to

8. me back then! The attraction towards the foreign country’s clothes also
put me in accuse! The purpose to write this article was only to let the
beginning occur, the beginning occurring of change. Which should
profit our country. I’m going to keep writing until I stop breathing. I’m
not that much of mad lover of country. But I don’t wish to forget of
being a human and respecting humanity. The upper-most level of my
contribution can just be of acquiring the usage of Indian products only!
I just wish that whoever may read this article, should lead to try to
progress for country, because of which the country can become really
“Independent” in true manner. And also releasing free from social jails
and prohibitions. And by doing such thing if our country’s growth rate
increases then that’s for best. This country is to its countrymen. By
changing ourselves we can go further in this direction and maybe one
day we might get independent! If not more than anything then we can
become a part of discussion and talks of developing our country, with
