3. Deforestation Deforestation is the eradication of a forest for urbanization or other metropolitan development purposes. Forest Ecosystems have been degraded for many years due to economic advantages which make the conversion seem more important for profitable purposes rather than forest conservation. Forest loss in the Philippines causes soil erosion, which threatens the country’s rich biodiversity. The forest loss also brings about worry for the people due to the endangering number of species which truly depend on these forests.

5. Pollution Pollution is the introduction of contaminants in the natural environment which brings about imbalance, disorder, damage, as well as discomfort to the ecosystem and the communities in it. It takes the form of chemical substances or energy, such as heat, light, or noise. Foreign substances or energies, are the elements of pollution which are called pollutants. There are several types of pollution. One of these is Water Pollution. Water Pollution is the contamination of bodies of water. This occurs when pollutants are released both directly and indirectly into the water without the necessary treatment to remove harmful compounds.

Or in other words, overfishing is a rate of fishing mortality that jeopardizes a fishery’s capacity to produce maximum sustainable yield on a continuing basis.
