The health care and medical services are growing immensely due to a high
influx of the private sector, changing disease patterns, medical tourism,

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for Design ControlsEMMAIntl
Ā
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has requirements for medical device manufacturers to establish and maintain a quality system for their medical device(s). The requirement for a quality system does not necessarily introduce new concepts, but applies existing quality concepts to design, development, manufacturing, distribution and use of medical devices. Within the larger quality system requirement, a methodology to control device design and development of medical devices is required. This set of sub requirements is known as Design Controls. In this paper, the history and evolution of quality systems and their application to medical devices will be covered. A Quality tool that could be well applied to the specific area of design controls, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), is a focus of this paper.

The U.S. Healthcare Delivery System
There is a rapid change within the healthcare system in the United States. The
changes that have occurred were made for the purpose of improving quality,
rewarding value and not volume, as well as integrating and coordinating the care
(Seshamani & Sen, 2018). As such, this paper will seek to put into consideration
current healthcare laws within the U.S. and the nurseās role within this continuously
changing environment; the manner in which quality measures and pay for performance
affect patient outcomes. Furthermore, the emerging trends in the healthcare system,
professional nursing leadership, and management roles will be discussed.
The Emerging Health Care Laws and their Effects on Nursing Practice
One of the most crucial healthcare legislat ions that has been enacted in the United
States since the inception of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965 is the Affordable Care
Act (Obama, 2016). The ACA was enacted in 2010. Issues relat ing to affordability,
ease of access, and the care quality within the United States healthcare system were
some of the driving factors that formed the list of many t ime spanning challenges
that compiled the init iat ion of this legislat ion. Between 2010 to 2015 there was a
decrease in the number of uninsured cit izens in the U.S. by forty three percent as an
effect of the Affordable Care Act.
The payment systems in healthcare are undergoing some changes and the access to
care has also improved (Obama, 2016). The ACA promotes preventive healthcare
models that put emphasis on quality care, primary care, and the funding of community
health init iat ives (Lathrop and Hodnicki, 2014). Millions of previously uninsured cit izens
are also provided insurance coverage and also some healthcare areas that need
reforms so as to meet the needs of patientsā improved healthcare outcomes are
highly focused by the act. The act has an effect on nursing practice in several ways.
The first effect is that the act creates a high demand for healthcare professionals
that are sufficiently trained to provide healthcare services that are up to the actsā
standards. The second effect is that Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs)
who hold the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) are required to be prepared so that
they can meet the increased needs through the provision of leadership skills in
community health centers. These professionals are also held accountable for direct ing
and advocating for future init iates as well as ser.

This study investigates the relationship between service quality, patient satisfaction, word of mouth WOM , and revisit intention among dental patients in a clinic, Thailand. The research employed a quantitative approach in data collection for statistical analysis. Quota sampling equally among four age groups was used, and 352 completed copies of self administered questionnaires were returned. The proposed theoretical framework was identified the model adopting PLS SEM. Findings reveal that patient satisfaction is a mediator between service quality and its outcomes of WOM and revisit intention. Referring to elements of service quality, empathy is the highest factor influencing patient satisfaction Beta=0.411, p 0.001 , followed by reliability Beta=0.183, p 0.05 , tangibles Beta=0.119, p 0.05 , assurance Beta=0.077, p 0.05 , and responsiveness, Beta=0.053, p 0.05 at R square 0.556. Revisit intention can be predicted by patient satisfaction by 53.4 percent Beta=0.731, p 0.001,R2=0.534 , and WOM can be explained by patient satisfaction by about 42.9 percent Beta=0.655, p 0.001, R2=0.429 . The study was limited to private dental practice a dental clinic . Thus, the extension to clinics around this area should be considered. Moreover, the researcher suggested comprehensive coverage of other predictors in further research. The implications are managers would emphasize healthcare service quality management to satisfy their patients because it creates positive word of mouth and a revisit intention among dental clinicās patients. Opportunity
In the absence of a national āsmartā grid, which would increase āpricing transparency,

A doctor recommender system based on collaborative and content filteringIJECEIAES

The volume of healthcare information available on the internet has exploded
in recent years. Nowadays, many online healthcare platforms provide
patients with detailed information about doctors. However, one of the most
important challenges of such platforms is the lack of personalized services
for supporting patients in selecting the best-suited doctors. In particular, it
becomes extremely time-consuming and difficult for patients to search
through all the available doctors. Recommender systems provide a solution
to this problem by helping patients gain access to accommodating
personalized services, specifically, finding doctors who match their
preferences and needs. This paper proposes a hybrid content-based
multi-criteria collaborative filtering approach for helping patients find the
best-suited doctors who meet their preferences accurately. The proposed
approach exploits multi-criteria decision making, doctor reputation score,
and content information of doctors in order to increase the quality of
recommendations and reduce the influence of data sparsity. The
experimental results based on a real-world healthcare multi-criteria (MC)
rating dataset show that the proposed approach works effectively with regard
to predictive accuracy and coverage under extreme levels of sparsity.

Project: āImplementation of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systemsā
Project Overview
The growth in technology has seen the inception of healthcare informatics whereby hospitals are required to utilize software systems to āfacilitate workflow and improve the quality of patient care and patient safetyā (Chang & Choi, 2016). Following the enactment of Affordable Care Act in 2010, the demand for healthcare services has increased drastically. Consequently, hospitals across United States serve a huge number of patients in a single day āhence making it hard for healthcare providers, clinical staff, and physicians to handle patientsā medical records manually.
Considerably, some level or organization is required in order to facilitate process of documentation and easy retrieval of patient records. Acquisition and implementation of a EMR system helps to capture, manage, and retrieve patient data like demographic information, lab results, medical history, among others with a single click. According to Coleman et al. (2015), āa strong EMR system can effectively acquire and centralize vital patient informationā āsomething that is effective and efficient service delivery.
Thus, this project involves the process acquiring and implementing EMR to facilitate workflow and enhance service delivery in hospitals.
Synopsis
The project success is entirely anchored on proper āplanning and managementā of the activities and processes involved (Serra & Kunc, 2015). As a course, project management has a number of objectives which must be fulfilled and this project is fully aligned those objectives. First, there is need to ensure that projects are aligned to the organizational strategy and hence, this project is in line with the need to provide quality care to patients. The project plan will involve the process of creating a WBS that will act as a point of reference as far as project planning and control is concerned. Developing a network diagram for the project is also key in managing this project. Cost and time estimation is a key element of this project is essential in ensuring that the implementation team works within the required timeframe and budget. Values and risk analysis also forms is a key element of project plan to ensure that its implementation does not result into losses. The acquisition of high performing team is critical in ensuring that the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise is acquired to spearhead the implementation process. Understanding procurement process is necessary in order to acquire all the relevant materials and equipment to facilitate the installation and maintenance of EMR. Finally, assessment and evaluation of the project is essential to ensure that it meets the required standards (Clarizen, 2018).
Project Scope
Rouse notes that āproject scope is the part of p.
Service innovation involves internal processes and responding to external environmental changes.
However, most of the previous literature related to hospital evaluations has focused on the impact of hospital
evaluation systems on medical quality or business models

Action Plan
Outline
-Defining the scope of the recruitment work plan, nursing residency enhancement, and career development projects.
-Allocation of responsibilities to stakeholders of the project departments.
-Estimate and create workable timelines and activities for each team.
-Note down the budget for the project.
The project involves an action plan to ensure quality improvement in the nursing profession. It is based on the fact that there is a significant shortage of nursing practitioners, which directly affects their quality of service. The action plan itself involves defining the nature of the recruitment work plan, which will be in connection to the newly graduated nurses with no experience and using their feedback on the job to determine if they will retain them. The work plan will involve questionnaire interviews, group sessions, and one-on-one interviews about the state of the job as the nurse continues.
The action plan will also include research on the state of nursing residency facilities at different medical institutions and later crafting proposals to the medical center and the government department involved in their nursing residency facilities with recommendations. Th ...

Through partnering with utility companies and other energy regulators, Sunco can make
renewable energy a dependable option for our customers. The opportunity, recommendation,
timeline, and cost are provided in this report.
Opportunity
In the absence of a national āsmartā grid, which would increase āpricing transparency,
as well as enable a host of consumer-producer interactive transactionsā (Contreras, 2012, p.
645), we here at Sunco, as producers of renewable energy, have run into the problem of getting
our services to the customers who demand them. Similarly, our consumers who generate
renewable energy on-site from solar panels and wind turbines have also run into the problem of
permits, regulations, and service charges that vary from state to state and utility to utility (Ryor,
2014). Currently, the main challenge is convincing local utilities of the economic viability of
renewable energy, and since the energy supplied is undifferentiated, the general customer base
is unaware that other options exist.
Solution
Since we, as a company, lack the necessary knowledge and authority to enable our
services to be accessed and expedited in a way that would make them economically feasible in
the existing system, we seek to engage in a partnership with utilities and regulators arou ...
A doctor recommender system based on collaborative and content filteringIJECEIAES
Ā

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
Ā
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesarās dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empireās birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empireās society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
