Effects Of Anxiety And Ill Health
Assessing the Impact of Mood on the Physiological Response to Acute Stressors
Project Summary
There is a well established link between stress and ill health. However, a gap in the literature reveals
that the underlying mechanisms triggering the onset of ill health are not fully understood.
Numerous stress ill health theories believe that affect can mediate the effect of stress on
physiological responses (Chida Hamer, 2008). The aim in this study is to investigate the
relationship between psychological aspects (mood, emotion, and coping) and sympathetic system
responses to an acute stress challenge. Saliva samples will be collected from the participants before
and after the acute stress challenge to calculate the presence of the enzyme ... Show more content on

Research Project Description
Aims
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between various psychological responses
(mood, emotion and coping) and the sympathetic nervous system response to an acute stress
challenge. This will help understand the underlying mechanisms in the stress ill health relationship
and will increase the knowledge about how psychological aspects may reduce physiological
responses. Therefore, the collected knowledge will help form future interventions.
Background and Significance
Stress is known to negatively impact health. Psychological responses, such as mood, emotion and
coping, influence the way we perceive stress and the impact it has on the physiological response
(Chida Hamer, 2008). Past studies have used the hormone cortisol to test the stress
response(Dickerson

Intro
Catholicism is a religion that has a history that has gone back over decades and is practiced all
over the world today. The Catholic Church is one of the world s largest religious denominations
according to BBC.com there is an estimated 1.2 billion Roman Catholics in the world today. So,
what does the Catholic Church believe in? Like Christians, Catholic believe in Jesus Christ, the
importance of charity, and the power of god. Catholics however, have a number of different things
that set them apart from Christians. The Catholic Church is liturgical, which according to

So, what is Santeria, according to Merriam Webster dictionary Santeria is a religion practiced
originally in Cuba in which Yoruba deities are identified with Roman Catholic saints. While that
is a vague answer Santeria, also called Regla de Ocha or the Lucmi has roots in the Yoruba
people of West Africa. Slaves were taken from Africa were taken to the Caribbean Islands. There
were attempts to convert many of the slaves but many of them resisted. They continued to
practice their own rituals, according to Charles H. Lippy and Peter W. William in their book
Encyclopedia of American Religious Experience: Studies of Traditions and Movement in Cuba
the Catholic Church was tolerant of ethnic traditions and even allowed various African groups to
create their own clubs , which became known as the Cabildos. But from their African roots and
Catholicism were already made and this would create Santeria. Santeria itself focuses on
building relationships between humans and powerful but mortal spirits, Orishas. According to
the Encyclopedia of Africa American Society the main spirits in Santeria are called Orishas,
which are complex beings that have several characteristics. They are seen as forces of nature, as
well, as aspect of God and intermediaries between the human and spirit worlds. An Orisha is a
manifestation of Olodumare, who is there God. The relationship between followers and Orishas
is meant to be mutual, Orishas need to be worship to survive. Without the worship and sacrifices
from the followers an Orisha can stop existing. It is impossible to know how many people
practice Santeria, because of the negative stigma that is attached to it many of the followers
practice in secret, but it is believed that some form of Santeria is practiced all over the

AU Chamber Ensemble Critique
I attended Auburn University s AU Chamber Ensembles at The Goodwin Recital Hall on Monday,
November 14, 2016, that began at 7:30 p.m. The concert featured performances from Auburn
Bassoon Ensemble, Auburn Guitar Ensemble, Auburn Wind Quintet, Auburn String Trio, Nova
Saxophone Quartet, and Auburn Horn Ensemble. The ensemble lasted approximately 60 minutes
and offered a very gratifying listening experience. The audience dressed very casual but the AU
Chamber Ensemble performers wore all black. The stage was very simple though each ensemble
had a different number of performers so they changed the way they stood/sat down before each
ensemble.
The performers did exceptionally well in their representation of the music. It would be a blunder to

The first piece they played was the Sextet for Horns which was created by Gregory Kerkorian.
Kerkorian is an American composer who wrote works for orchestra, concert band, chamber music
and educational work ( Gregory Kerkorian ). This piece consisted of a brass instrument the horn.
The piece starts with a very dissonance sound. They were very loud and played on a major scale.
There was a lot of harmonic tension between musicians they couldn t stay on key. The timbre was
very brassy and harsh with a conjunct melody. The song seemed to have a larghetto tempo
sounding very slow and sad. The piece also has a low pitch throughout the entire song.
The next piece played by the horn ensemble was the Urlicht which was written by Gustav Mahler.
Mahler was an Austrian late Romantic composer, and one of the leading conductors of his
generation. He was born on July 7th, 1860 and died 1911. As a composer he acted as a bridge
between the 19th century Austro German tradition and the modernism of the early 20th century. (

Howard Schultz and Starbucks Coffee Company
Prologue: International Expansion
On August 2, 1996, Starbucks Coffee Company opened its first store outside North America. Like
many of its U.S. and Canadian outlets, the new store was located in a busy district of a prominent
city Tokyo. Starbucks managers had devoted much time to selecting the site, designing the store s
layout and fixtures, training its staff, and publicizing its introduction. A series of events, including
receptions and public samplings, attracted consumer interest in the new store s specialty coffee
drinks, whole (unground) coffee beans, and pastries. For example, a ... Show more content on

latte, cappuccino, or other specialty coffee drink that they associated with the young company.
Schultz was impressed by the customers enthusiasm. The Starbucks brand, he realized, had the
same power in Tokyo that it had in New York and Seattle. It had taken on a life of its own. 4
Schultz had bought the company in 1987, when it was still a small Seattle retailer, mainly selling
coffee beans. In the ensuing nine years, it had become the nation s largest purveyor of specialty
coffee, selling the beverage served in various ways, along with coffee beans and related food and
merchandise. Between 1992 and 1996, annual revenues had increased more than 650%, climbing to
almost $700 million (Exhibit 5).5
Most of this increase had been driven by the swift proliferation of company owned stores, with the
rest of it coming from two thriving divisions mail order, and specialty sales, which sold coffee to
restaurants and other institutional purchasers. In 1987, Starbucks had 11 outlets; nine years later,
over
900. In fiscal 1996 alone, the company opened 330 outlets, an average of almost one a day.6 As
the business moved into new U.S. and Canadian urban markets, consumer awareness of specialty
coffee and the Starbucks brand widened considerably. By the mid 1990s, millions of

Background On Dell Incorporation
Background on Dell Incorporation
Dell incorporation is a well known name in households and organizations everywhere. This is
because Dell is the largest mail order computer vendor in the world due to their high reputation or
providing quality PCs to the public at affordable and competitive prices. However, this innovation
of PCs would not habe been possible without Mr. Michael Dell, the genius behind this prominent
and successful company (Anonymous, 2015). From its inception, Dell has managed to gain and
maintain a competitive advantage in the industry of computers. The question then is how does Dell
gain and retain this competitive advantage?

This strategy was developed to replace the traditional boundaries among end users, suppliers and
manufacturers through the use of its technology and information. Virtual integration utilizes mass
customization, customer focus, just in time manufacturing and supplier partnerships and combines
them to ensure that coordination is enabled. According to Wang et.al (2006), virtual integration is
substituting ownership with partnership through the integration of suppliers in an attempt to
achieve collaboration in the supply chain. This collaboration with suppliers allows Dell to enjoy the
benefits of virtual integration without having to set up their own manufacturing facility. Wang
further mentioned that virtual integration can assist manufacturers in attaining a higher flexibility
in manufacturing and also to achieve comparative advantage. In addition, Dell gain competitive
advantage through its supply chain management by requesting that key suppliers develop
inventory hubs in close proximity to their assembly plants. By doing this, Dell could communicate
with the inventory hubs of their suppliers in a timely fashion so that delivery is done in a short
span of time. Also, Dell s new PC models could now be brought to the market quicker which
resulted in drastic cost advantages (Strickland,

The Electronic Toll Collection in Malaysia, Questions and...
Introduction (Maximum 2 pages)
Two decades ago, the answer of the following question of possibilities of cash disappeared as a
payment method is clearly No . Cash represents as financial transaction of any products or
services. The idea of having a cashless world has been thinking long times ago.
The risks of handling cash are high compared to electronic money including toll fares. The
introduction of electronic payment system has created an opportunity for the other payment system
to be begun. It may be difficult for cash to be as payment method to complete with new emerging
payment system (Taylor, 2006).
The Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) in Malaysia has been introduced in the year 1994 at PLUS
Expressway. It has evolved since then many changes have been made. ETC consists of system and
device that must be used together. It is types of complementary items. To use the SmartTag, users
must have Touch n Go card. The ETC penetration has been grown steadily on June 2006. The
average ETC penetration rate nationwide is 37% and 50% for Klang Valley toll highways.
Electronic Toll Collection is a technology enabling the electronic collection of toll payments. This
system is capable of determining the car is registered or not, and then informing the authorities of
toll payment violations (Khadijah and Dr. Wahid, 2010). Example of violation that can be recorded

The Theme Of Tess Of The DUrbervilles
Tess of the d Urbervilles written by Thomas Hardy takes place in the 19th century in high class
England. One fellow by the name of Jack Durbeyfield learned from a local parson that he is
actually descended from the old and forgotten family, the D Urbervilles. Planning to exact his
royal name, he sent his eldest daughter to a nearby town by the name of D Urberville, to see if
she can find out whether or not they are related. Tess came to find out that their name had died
off and is no longer related to the noble name, D Urberville. What Jack and his family do with
that information will be uncovered soon. Birds, one of the most recurring themes throughout
this novel. The characters believe that birds represent higher beings, as if they are spirits from
another realm. The main birds that the characters speak of, mainly Tess, is the Christian dove of
peace and the Romantic songbirds of Keats and Shelley. The author makes you think as if the
birds speak for Tess. On many occasions you can hear birds singing in the background as Tess
sits quietly and silent. Her personality and mannerisms make her seem quiet and calm. The real
reason for this is because she was raped by Alec D Urberville, son of the noble family, when she
was younger and feels wronged and disgraced. The incident makes her silent and submissive to
whatever the situation is. The birds also represent more than just Tess s voice; they also represent
images of hope and freedom. One occurrence of this was when Tess

Toys R Us Marketing
When people here the name Toys R Us, they think back to when they were kids of going into a
store made with bricks and mortar and leaving with mom in one hand and the latest toy in other
and a great big smile from cheek to cheek. As time passed the pressure for companies to enter the
clicks of e commerce became strong. In 1998 Toysrus.com, a subsidiary of Toys R Us opened in
attempts to be wherever our customers are, and that includes the Internet. Having a strong brand
recognition, there were no doubts that ToyR Us could continue their successful tradition by holding
on to their vision, which is to put joy in kids hearts and a smile on parents faces , even on the on

It becomes too risky to reinvent new ideas before the company has reached its growth stage of the
Life Cycle. The normal process is to reach maturity and then develop new ideas. Toyrus.com is
staying within scope of the Life cycle; although they have the toy business mastered they are still
trying to master the art of websites.
Social relevance is another factor that one can use to help analyze the attractiveness of the industry.
Overall, any form of business done over the Internet is socially accepted because the Internet offers
convenience as well as a time saver. The number one demographic group that frequents on line toy
stores is mothers of children. They know that when it comes Christmas time, what better way to
save shopping time than to order the toys that kids want on the Internet. It is this mentality that
raises the relevance and necessity for such a website. Society already gives acceptance to the
Internet and to Toy R Us Inc., therefore Toyrus.com is also known to nearly all people within its
industry on the Internet.
The degree of globalization is another factor that influences attractiveness. If a company entering an
industry can also enter a global market, then it is attractive. Toysrus.com has businesses in other
counties such as the United Kingdom, Germany and France. Etoys.com, their main rival, is not as
globally present around the world, they only have a presence in

Abstract:
Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton is considered to be one of the greatest Antarctic explorers of all time,
not because that he was successful in all his expeditions. In fact all of the expeditions he undertook
were failures. So why is he given this legendary status? His simple ability to lead the men in his
crew to safety, to handle the most stressful situations with calmness and change his plans as per the
situations has rendered him to become a subject for many research studies throughout the world.
In his expedition during 1906, to the South Pole, he single handedly man hauled a sledge to within
97 miles of the South Pole. Later he lead a crew of 27 men safely to home in one of the most
notorious weather conditions for a duration of over 2 years simply exemplify his stature.

1. Demographic force
Job catalogue and income aspects are the key focuses of Airasia for targeting the
segmentation(Kotler et al, 2010). Most the customers of Airasia are students and low or middle

price, while middle income people want a balance between price and quality. Eventually, Asia is
becoming the potential market of the world and this creates more opportunities for traveling and
carrier services especially in Asia Pacific region.
2. Geographic force
Choosing and activating flight destinations of an airline is critically important, as it will affect the

current cities and countries that it is mostly operating are the big cities in Asia and no local flight in

A Brief Note On The Police Body Camera
Jordyn Hanson
Sara Gillis
ENGL 101T
30 Nov. 2016
Through an officer s eye A man in Seattle was arrested for a peaceful protest early this year, and
his arrest was recorded on a police body camera. He hasn t yet had his day in court, but the
footage of his arrest, name, address and date of birth are all made public records (Sullivan n.p.).
Those supporting these cameras say it is their right to see the footage, but by enabling those rights
the right to privacy for victims and officers become second class. The show Cops has been around
for 28 seasons and has highlighted the scenes of which police encounter every day. It s not pretty,
but those filmed are asked to sign off on permission to use the footage. If they don t sign the
footage can t be used, this is allowing suspects their due privacy. Police body cameras invade
officers and suspects rights to privacy and provide too much transparency. The primary
disadvantage of police body cameras is that they infringe on the simple privacy rights of officers
and those who they interact with. Unlike the show these officers would not be able to get a
signed release from every person in their film. A policy to release all police recorded videos
could mean footage of the inside of a person s home or a hospital would be available (Sullivan
n.p.). The body camera footage could show the inside of officers homes and other private situations
(Sullivan n.p.). This footage of a home, hospital or morgue shows that the footage is

Feminization Of Poverty And Gender Roles Essay
Assignment #4 Feminization of Poverty It is the term given to the trend where women represent a
disproportionate percentage of the world poor. Here are many factors that contribute to this trend.
The factors that got my attention was being a single mother or just being a female. Often now days
society claims to give womanthe same right as man. But in real life woman do not get the same
right as a man. A woman can get to the same position a man is but the struggle and the effort
would be bigger. According to the theory of social roles, genderstereotypes arise as a consequence
of the existence of gender roles social expectations, prescribing a person a certain behavior
depending on his gender. In other words, watching how representatives of different genders deal
with different things, people conclude that they are fundamentally different from each other. At the
same time, gender stereotypes are the mechanism for maintaining gender roles: beliefs about the
unique qualities and distinctive features of a particular gender are used to justify the need to
behave in accordance with the appropriate gender role. The United Nations considers this problem
global and encourages States to modify existing gender model, preserving a system of unequal
values and double standards. In terms of gender mainstreaming, gender based discrimination and
gender inequality are the major problems in the labor market, which leave their mark on the
development of individual regions and the country

More than 4000 toy manufacturers had to close down their units and lay off workers. Part of this
was also attributable to the financial crisis of 2008.It is also estimated that more than 100,000
people were affected, directly or indirectly, due to this ban.
Nearly half of China s toy factories closed last year. The country started the year with 8,610
factories producing and exporting 70 per cent of all the world s toys. By the end of 2008, only

biggest closures was that of Smart Union, a Hong Kong listed maker of toys for companies such
as Mattel and Disney in the United States. It closed last October with the loss of 7,000 jobs.

Anatolian New Zeytin Agricultural Co-op
RE: ANZAC (Anatolian New Zeytin Agricultural Co op) I. ISSUE Does www.anzac.com.tr
infringe the domain name policy and will it be cancelled or transformed ? II. SHORT ANSWER
Yes, www.anzac.com.tr infringes the domain name policy III. FACTS Anatolian New Zeytin
Agricultural Co op (ANZAC), which helps a collective group of olive growers and
manufacturers in Turkey for 20 years, launched a website called www.anzac.com.tr in English, in
January 2013 to inform the global market about Turkish olive agriculture. The website includes
comprehensive information about the olive industry in Turkey. Records show that the Co op s
website had 100.000 hits from around the world during 15 months but since no products are sold
on this website, it did not bring any income to the Co op. The Complainant, Australian
Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), is a governmental support organization for people who
have served or are serving in the Australian Defence Force. The lawyers claim that the Co op s
domain name Anzac , which is known and used in Australia to refer to the Australian and New
Zealand Army Corps that fought in Gallipoli during World War I against the Turkish army,
infringes on the DVA s rights because the domain name that the Co op using in bad faith they said,
is confusingly similar to the use of the word Anzac and they contend that the Co op may unlawfully
benefit from this symbolic name considering 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli

Steve Jobs At Wozniak And Ronald Wayne
Steve Jobs found Apple over 40 years ago; Jobs, along with his two friends Steve Wozniak and
Ronald Wayne. The three conceived the company, Apple Computer Inc, on April 1, 1976, in Job s
parent s garage and from then on they would create a technological cultural phenomenon. Fast
forward to January 9, 2007, and the first generation iPhonewas released which revolutionized the
smartphone as we know it today as it was the first smartphone to feature an adaptive touch screen
display. The first generation iPhone had a 3.5 inch screen, was encased in metal and featured
the trademark home button found on the bottom of the display. The first generation iPhone also
featured an impressive 2 megapixel camera, had a 320x480 pixel display, 128 MB of RAM, 4
GB of internal storage, iOS version 3.0, and was Wi Fi capable. Not to mention, also connected
to the iTunes Store, web browsing via Safari, email capabilities, and even included Google Maps
(Kerris Apple Reinvents ). However, by today s standard the first generation iPhone is hardly
impressive, but in 2007 the iPhone was something to get excited about, as it was the only phone
at the time to have a touch screen display compared to the sea of plastic sliding phones such as
the Nokia N95, flip phones such as the RAZR, and Blackberry s (Segan). In many ways the first
generation iPhone paved the way for many other smartphones and its specs became the industries
standard for a smartphone. Steve Jobs made the iPhone into what it is today,

Life Of Pi Film Analysis
Effective film advertisement is achieved via film trailers as they are devoid of intricate storyline
details yet still attract audiences. The film trailer for The Secret life of Walter Mitty (2013),
directed by Ben Stiller and Sean Penn, reveals that Walter Mitty endures frequent daydreams and
lives a relatively monotonous lifestyle until embarking on a mystery driven quest, to carry out
noteworthy experiences. The film trailer for Life of Pi (2012), based on a bestselling novel and
directed by Ang Lee, uncovers a teenage boy who is marooned in the middle of the ocean after a
terrifying shipwreck. Both films focus on the lives of their key characters, who learn a great deal
about themselves through the course of the film.
The film trailers in my study are aimed at family audiences, although they target different age
groups. The Secret Life of Walter Mittyfocuses on comedic shots, which appeals to a vast
demographic from teenagers to young adults. These shots include humorous aspects of Walters
adventures; leaping off a helicopter, riding a skateboard in mountainous surroundings, and
hiking through snowy alp. Walter focuses on his relationship with himself as he receives signals
from people that are important in his life telling him to do something noteworthy . In contrast,
Life of Pi initially presents as a child s film with the emphasis on a child protagonist and a tiger,
but this is not really the case. Life of Pi focusses on Pi s particular relationship with his tiger in a
life boat on the open sea, presenting a far more serious and disturbing atmosphere suitable for a
more mature audience. Life of Pi and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty are both drama/ adventure
movies which show personal growth but each are aimed at distinct target audiences.
At the beginning of the trailer Life of Pi, there is a logo of twentieth Century Fox. Twenty
seconds into the trailer, on screen text appears telling us that this film is from academy award
winning Director Ang Lee and based on the best selling novel . This engages numerous watchers
as it is aimed at a wide target audience who have enjoyed either previous Ang Lee films, or who
have read the book. Contrastingly in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the

The Difference Roles Among Male And Female Poets Essay
In the first chapter it deals with the contemporary issues of gender. The dissertation title is: the

However, this change was far more problematic to Russia that similar progress of western European

The use of genre in any literary work assist the responder in understanding the text, as prior

characteristics that are recognised. Shakespeare, in his play Twelfth Night uses the Romantic
comedy genre and it s conventions of strong themes of love and a series of obstacles and

particularly those of women in society. This is explored through the two main female characters:

The characters of Viola and Olivia are used by Shakespeare to explore the position and rights of
the female in society, in comparison to their male counterparts. Viola especially is used to
illustrate this comparison. Stranded on the shores of Illyria, a land she does not know, with no
means of support, and no one to assist her, she devises a plan to dress as a man and seek
employment with the Duke Orsino. It is when she is dressed in her male attire, posing as the
eunuch Cesario, that comparisons between male and female independence are made.
Dressed as a man, the character Viola has freedom as a man that she could not possibly display
when she reverts to her female self in act 5 of the play. When dressed as Cesario, Viola is able to
speak her mind freely and speak to both Orsino and Olivia, both socially superior to Cesario (but
not Viola) as equals, without fear of repercussion, a privilege certainly not extended to women. An
example of Viola taking advantage of her male right to speak freely and without consequence
appears in Act 2 Scene 5, when Orsino tells Cesario that men s love is more intense than women s:
Viola: Ay, But I know
Orsino: What dost thou know?
Viola: Too well what love women to men may owe:
In faith, they are as true of heart as we.

Texas Revolutionary War Research Paper
The Texas revolutionary war was in Texas began with the help of first the Spanish, and then

Spanish authorities for a large Texas land tract which he would promote and sell to American

In 1821, the Spanish government gave him permission to settle 300 families in Texas. Spain
welcomed the Americans for two reasons to provide a buffer against illegal U.S. settlers, who
were making problems in east Texas even before the allotment was made to Austin, and to help

On March 31, Houston paused his men at Groce s Landing on the Brazos River, and for the next

underestimating the strength of his foes, Santa Anna further subdivided his troops. On April 21,
Houston s army staged a surprise assault on Santa Anna and his vanguard force at the Battle of
San Jacinto. The Mexican troops were quickly routed, and vengeful Texians executed many who

Annie Get Your Gun By Ethel Merman And Ray Middleton
Anything you do, I can do better; I can do anything, better than you , in Annie Get Your Gun
performed by Ethel Merman and Ray Middleton, is one of many examples that are still battled
today on the topic of gender roles playing essentially to modern society. Historically, the
relationship between female and male has almost always been unequal and oppressive; but, a
feminist critic would aim to critique the nature of genderroles. In a feminist theory, it mainly focuses
women s role as well as their social standing in a society. In today s society, women empower
society to promote matriarchy whereas a female becomes the head of the family. Since the
nineteenth century up until today in the twenty first century, society has made assumptions about
female based on their gender. For instance, people often assume that men are strong and women are
weak and that women cannot control their emotions, and that men are better at hunting, and that
women belong in the kitchen. Oftentimes, books and movies can confirm such stereotypes of
males as action heroes and women as housewives; however, through the characters of Katniss and
Peeta in The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins tries to show her readers that these assumptions are
false.
Moreover, Katniss is an individual who breaks away from the typical gender stereotypes that one
would assume while reading. In fact, showing her feminine side to readers, Katniss is simply a
nurturer because of how she takes care of others like Rue and Peeta

element in the earth s crust. Chemically, fluoride is negatively charged and combines with positive

released into the environment naturally in the form of both water and air. Generally, when the term

How Are Humans Are Inherently Wrong
Modern humans come from a long history of death, scandal, and tragedy, and it seems all we
remember as a race are those things. For instance, if asked to recall a significant world event
occurring in the past century, most people would cite events such as wars, genocides, terrorist
attacks, and other such atrocities. To put that in perspective, imagine a non humanviewing the last
100 years of our planet from the outside. It would be hard to deny that we look the part of an
essentially immoral society that lives to destroy one another. Is that what we are, though? My
answer is no. I believe human existence is based on helping each other. I believe that through
subjectivity, it is possible find moral intent behind any action moral or immoral. Above all, I
believe, despite many existing examples pointing the other way, humans are, through evolution,
inherently moral. To preface, it is necessary to outline the basics of morality to better grasp exactly
what is meant by the phrase within my thesis statement: inherently moral. Understand, however,
that the nature of human moral code is not fully understood, and it is difficult to present any one
hypothesis without encountering a flaw in logic.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That much is fact. However, it is difficult to discern exactly why we have one. How are we able
to judge whether an action is right or wrong? What do we judge each action against? An action
must be based against something in order to be deemed right or wrong, so there must be some
kind of moral benchmark or criterion. Some might suggest this criterion is rooted in religion (i.e.,
the Ten Commandments, etc). However, since early humans did not have religion (or at least not a
discernible one), one must put aside all religious thoughts, and view the issue for what it truly is:

Overall this report will be based on the impact of organic, fair trade, environmental impact and

However Shaw et al (2005) argued that customers consider to be ethical, affordable and to do
what companies claim they do which is making decisions on the basis of ethical values. For
example people will not buy a product if inot ethically right, they will still consider price and
quality far important to consider for ethical consumers. As shaw reveled that ethical consumers
tend to become aware of other issue and include them in their decision making and effectively
become a habit (e.g. vegetarainism, recycling) An example of a product which falls into an ethical
category is Ethos Home Ware, which develops a range of home ware products that helps children
realise their potential to do anything they dream of recyclying.
Ethical consumerism could either be an individual based activity or an organizational based
activity where a campaign encourages people to act more ethically regarding behaviour. Ethical
consumerism has three major variables: which are listed below
Personal interest
Society interest
Environmental interest
In today s society, ethical consumerism can be seen as a significant way of thinking about the
responsibilities individuals take in respect to fair trade and eco friendly products. The study of

Teacher And Student Behaviors In Inclusive Classrooms By...
Each fall, both teachers and students look expectantly toward the new year as a time of excitement
and optimism. Will I be able to help my students learn as much as they can as fast as they can? Will
the teacher like me? Will my students like me? With or without research or theory, each member of
the class community knows the importance of the teacher student relationship. As an administrator
in an elementary school with both the highest gifted percentage in the count and a visually impaired
cluster unit, it is important that I understand the scientific data surrounding forming relationships to
support teacher understanding of its impact on their classroom climate and to encourage methods
of class community building. The problem, therefore, is twofold what is the impact of Exceptional
Student Education(ESE) students on teacher student relationships and what preconceived notions
do teachers have that impact their relationships with their students. This is important to the field of
education as we transition from the old model of secluding ESE students in self contained
classrooms to the newer model of inclusion. As teachers better understand the research, their
behaviors affecting relationship building will be of greater import and, thus, a priority. In Teacher
and Student Behaviors in Inclusive Classrooms by Nevin Guner Yildiz, teacher and student
behaviors were observed and recorded on a data collection form designed according to the time
sampling method.

Key Features Of The Public Expenditure Structure In Cambodia
Public expenditure structure in Cambodia
Key Features of the expenditure system
The expenditure system in Cambodia has three main features. It s important to emphasize that more
information is needed to be certain about whether the following expenditure trends continue today.
First, the country has been running a deficit for a long time due to higher growth rate of
expenditures than revenues. Second, the country has dropped significantly their investment in rural
development and agriculture, which affects the country s growth because it s overwhelmingly rural.
Lastly, the transport expenditures have also decreased substantially. If the country had better
transport infrastructure, the government could raise their revenues that come from public services.
Additionally, without proper transport infrastructure there is a loss of potential tourism destinations,
and reduced competitiveness in market accessibility due to high access costs to commodities.
Budget Deficit
Cambodia budget s deficit has remained relatively flat between 2000 and 2017 (estimated). In
2000, the deficit was 4.8% of GDP and in 2017 the deficit is estimated to be 4.5% of GDP,
excluding grants. The country s expenditures have grown at faster rate than its revenues. In the
year 2000, Cambodia expenditures represented 15% of GDP while the estimation for the year
2017 is 22% of GDP, 7 percentage points more than in 2000.

The Great Military Of The Nation State
With the rise of the nation state has come the need for a force to protect it and project its political
will. As nation states have grown, so too have the forces that protect it. Large armies that need to
move any distance from their home bases need to bring their supplies with them or procure them on
the move. Supplying these armies has always been a challenge, and it will continue to be a
challenge in the future. Many great militaryleaders faced these issues; the greatest advances in
logistics did not appear in warfare until the 17th century and many of them continued into the
21st century. These advances were the beginning of modern military logistics and the basis of
how nations supply their armies today. Although the logistical systems continue to evolve in
many ways during the past four centuries, it still is not perfect. Since ancient times, states
recognized that feeding an army was difficult and multiple methods were employed in an
attempt to meet the needs of soldiers. While in garrison, food generally was not too difficult to
procure. However, food was not always as readily available when armies were on the march. The
states had limited methods for dealing with the issue of supplying food and other supplies, and
when soldiers needs were not met, they began resorting to stealing, buying, and plundering. In the
17th century, soldiers not receiving pay or food would do as they pleased, raping, pillaging, and
robbing those in nearby villages to

between the examined samples. Glynn et al., (2007) reported variations of terpene content with
environmental stress. The growth differentiation balance hypothesis postulates that there is a

The Advantages Of Money And Credit Cards
Money remains to be one of the most important needs in life. It helps society survive by buying
things that are needed to meet the basic human needs such as: food, clothes, etc. Sometimes,
people earn a lot of money and learn to save it and others waste money they do not have, making
poor financial decisions. What is the best way out? The best way out is having cash. Cash has a lot
of advantages over credit cards. Choosing a paymentmethod is sometimes difficult particularly for
buyers who cannot control their spending. What is the best way out? paying and obtaining cash has
more advantages over holding a handful of credit cards.
To begin with, cash is generally accepted at any business, so you ll rarely run into the problems of
being forced to use a credit card. Unlike credit cards that are more unreliable unless you re
shopping in a online store. Nonetheless one of the utmost issues of using a credit card is that
many stores do not provide the technology to pay a transaction with a card. In the event that this
occurs one will have to obtain an ATM machine in order to take out cash. Not only is this time
consuming but it can also result in the machine being broken which is a huge inconvenience. For
example, a card can end up being declined in a case of an emergency where money is needed or all
of your money and personal information can also be hacked and stolen in seconds. Now you will
need to go through the vigorous process of reporting your card being stolen to the

Science of Volcanic Activity Prediction Essay
Science of Volcanic Activity Prediction
Since the dawn of history, volcanoes have been an awe inspiring feature of the earth that has
frightened and intrigued mankind. Volcanoes have taken the lives of over 250,000 people in the
last three hundred years and changed the lives of millions of others, but up until recently humans
have had very little understanding of the volcanic processes that presage an eruption. The advent
and implementation of new technologies and scientific methods has allowed us to begin to
comprehend the inner workings of one of nature s most powerful forces. Through understanding
how volcanoes work, volcanologists hope to accurately predict when an eruption may occur, what
the magnitude and type of eruption will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The graph to the right displays the number of earthquakes in the months leading up to three
eruptions that occurred on June 27, August 18, and September 16 17 of 1992 at Mt. Spurr,
located 80 miles west of Anchorage, Alaska. The vertical red lines indicate the eruptions. The
graph shows that there was an erratic but visible increase in the frequency of seismic activity
leading up to the first eruption. It also shows that the second and third eruptions were not preceded
by a marked increase in seismic activity, and that during two weeks following the last eruption in
November and December, a large frequency of earthquakes took place without an eruption
occurring afterwards. This illustrates how difficult it can be to predict when an eruption is likely to
take place and underscores the importance of using several methods concurrently to predict
volcanism.
Monitoring ground deformation in the vicinity of a volcano is another valuable tool for
understanding what s going on underground. When magma rises, it often causes the rock above it
to deform or uplift in the form of a dome, and these domes indicate activity below the surface that
could be a warning sign of an eruption. One of the most dramatic occurrences of uplift occurred
prior to the Mt. St. Helens eruption of 1980 when the volcano s north side bulged out over 100
meters in only two months. Scientists and technicians measure both horizontal and vertical ground

entrepreneurs who work in varied areas of the business world. The reasons behind joining this
small group vary as widely as their professions. While looking at these individuals key traits happen
to become evident.

  • 2. Effects Of Anxiety And Ill Health Assessing the Impact of Mood on the Physiological Response to Acute Stressors Project Summary There is a well established link between stress and ill health. However, a gap in the literature reveals that the underlying mechanisms triggering the onset of ill health are not fully understood. Numerous stress ill health theories believe that affect can mediate the effect of stress on physiological responses (Chida Hamer, 2008). The aim in this study is to investigate the relationship between psychological aspects (mood, emotion, and coping) and sympathetic system responses to an acute stress challenge. Saliva samples will be collected from the participants before and after the acute stress challenge to calculate the presence of the enzyme ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His team is an excellent collection of ambitious, new research talents. Research Project Description Aims The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between various psychological responses (mood, emotion and coping) and the sympathetic nervous system response to an acute stress challenge. This will help understand the underlying mechanisms in the stress ill health relationship and will increase the knowledge about how psychological aspects may reduce physiological responses. A Brief Note On The Police Body Camera Jordyn Hanson Sara Gillis ENGL 101T 30 Nov. 2016 Through an officer s eye A man in Seattle was arrested for a peaceful protest early this year, and his arrest was recorded on a police body camera. He hasn t yet had his day in court, but the footage of his arrest, name, address and date of birth are all made public records (Sullivan n.p.). Those supporting these cameras say it is their right to see the footage, but by enabling those rights the right to privacy for victims and officers become second class. The show Cops has been around for 28 seasons and has highlighted the scenes of which police encounter every day. It s not pretty, but those filmed are asked to sign off on permission to use the footage. If they don t sign the footage can t be used, this is allowing suspects their due privacy. Police body cameras invade officers and suspects rights to privacy and provide too much transparency. The primary disadvantage of police body cameras is that they infringe on the simple privacy rights of officers and those who they interact with. Unlike the show these officers would not be able to get a signed release from every person in their film. A policy to release all police recorded videos could mean footage of the inside of a person s home or a hospital would be available (Sullivan n.p.). Here are many factors that contribute to this trend. The factors that got my attention was being a single mother or just being a female. Often now days society claims to give womanthe same right as man. But in real life woman do not get the same right as a man. In other words, watching how representatives of different genders deal with different things, people conclude that they are fundamentally different from each other. At the same time, gender stereotypes are the mechanism for maintaining gender roles: beliefs about the unique qualities and distinctive features of a particular gender are used to justify the need to behave in accordance with the appropriate gender role. • 23. Life Of Pi Film Analysis Effective film advertisement is achieved via film trailers as they are devoid of intricate storyline details yet still attract audiences. The film trailer for The Secret life of Walter Mitty (2013), directed by Ben Stiller and Sean Penn, reveals that Walter Mitty endures frequent daydreams and lives a relatively monotonous lifestyle until embarking on a mystery driven quest, to carry out noteworthy experiences. The film trailer for Life of Pi (2012), based on a bestselling novel and directed by Ang Lee, uncovers a teenage boy who is marooned in the middle of the ocean after a terrifying shipwreck. Both films focus on the lives of their key characters, who learn a great deal about themselves through the course of the film. The film trailers in my study are aimed at family audiences, although they target different age groups. The Secret Life of Walter Mittyfocuses on comedic shots, which appeals to a vast demographic from teenagers to young adults. These shots include humorous aspects of Walters adventures; leaping off a helicopter, riding a skateboard in mountainous surroundings, and hiking through snowy alp. Walter focuses on his relationship with himself as he receives signals from people that are important in his life telling him to do something noteworthy . In contrast, Life of Pi initially presents as a child s film with the emphasis on a child protagonist and a tiger, but this is not really the case. Life of Pi focusses on Pi s particular relationship with his tiger in a life boat on the open sea, presenting a far more serious and disturbing atmosphere suitable for a more mature audience. Life of Pi and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty are both drama/ adventure movies which show personal growth but each are aimed at distinct target audiences. At the beginning of the trailer Life of Pi, there is a logo of twentieth Century Fox. Twenty seconds into the trailer, on screen text appears telling us that this film is from academy award winning Director Ang Lee and based on the best selling novel . This engages numerous watchers as it is aimed at a wide target audience who have enjoyed either previous Ang Lee films, or who have read the book. Viola especially is used to illustrate this comparison. Stranded on the shores of Illyria, a land she does not know, with no means of support, and no one to assist her, she devises a plan to dress as a man and seek employment with the Duke Orsino. It is when she is dressed in her male attire, posing as the eunuch Cesario, that comparisons between male and female independence are made. Annie Get Your Gun By Ethel Merman And Ray Middleton Anything you do, I can do better; I can do anything, better than you , in Annie Get Your Gun performed by Ethel Merman and Ray Middleton, is one of many examples that are still battled today on the topic of gender roles playing essentially to modern society. Historically, the relationship between female and male has almost always been unequal and oppressive; but, a feminist critic would aim to critique the nature of genderroles. In a feminist theory, it mainly focuses women s role as well as their social standing in a society. In today s society, women empower society to promote matriarchy whereas a female becomes the head of the family. Since the nineteenth century up until today in the twenty first century, society has made assumptions about female based on their gender. For instance, people often assume that men are strong and women are weak and that women cannot control their emotions, and that men are better at hunting, and that women belong in the kitchen. Oftentimes, books and movies can confirm such stereotypes of males as action heroes and women as housewives; however, through the characters of Katniss and Peeta in The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins tries to show her readers that these assumptions are false. With or without research or theory, each member of the class community knows the importance of the teacher student relationship. Key Features Of The Public Expenditure Structure In Cambodia Public expenditure structure in Cambodia Key Features of the expenditure system The expenditure system in Cambodia has three main features. It s important to emphasize that more information is needed to be certain about whether the following expenditure trends continue today. First, the country has been running a deficit for a long time due to higher growth rate of expenditures than revenues. Second, the country has dropped significantly their investment in rural development and agriculture, which affects the country s growth because it s overwhelmingly rural. Lastly, the transport expenditures have also decreased substantially. If the country had better transport infrastructure, the government could raise their revenues that come from public services. Additionally, without proper transport infrastructure there is a loss of potential tourism destinations, and reduced competitiveness in market accessibility due to high access costs to commodities. Large armies that need to move any distance from their home bases need to bring their supplies with them or procure them on the move. Supplying these armies has always been a challenge, and it will continue to be a challenge in the future. Many great militaryleaders faced these issues; the greatest advances in logistics did not appear in warfare until the 17th century and many of them continued into the 21st century. These advances were the beginning of modern military logistics and the basis of how nations supply their armies today. Although the logistical systems continue to evolve in many ways during the past four centuries, it still is not perfect. Since ancient times, states recognized that feeding an army was difficult and multiple methods were employed in an attempt to meet the needs of soldiers. While in garrison, food generally was not too difficult to procure. However, food was not always as readily available when armies were on the march. The states had limited methods for dealing with the issue of supplying food and other supplies, and when soldiers needs were not met, they began resorting to stealing, buying, and plundering.
