Several health effects have been reported from Cell Tower radiation much below the radiation norms adopted by most countries.
Common problems that occur among below living near and below cell towers are Sleep Disturbance, concentration problem, memory loss, heart palpitations, etc. The radiations can also aggravate / lead to Alzheimer's and Parkin's disease.
Children are more prone to these radiations as their skulls are thinner and still developing. Studies by Dr. Om Gandhi show that radiation penetration in the head of an adult while using a mobile phone is 25%, in a 10 year old it is 50% and in a 5-year old it is 75%. Also pregnant women and older people are more susceptible to radiations.
All these health effects have been observed at levels much below the ICNIRP and FCC guidelines adopted by many countries.
Similar health effects have been observed in people in Germany, Israel, Sweden, Spain, UK, France etc.
Also lots of cancer cases have been reported among people living within 300 to 400 meter distance from the tower.
In a country like India where the population is very dense, achieving this is very difficult, hence it all the more calls for lower radiation norms.
At the end some case studies have been reported. These are only a few examples. The damage which has already occurred to the human race including environment, plants, animals, birds bees etc is phenomenal.
According to Australian Health Research Institute, if this trend continues, by 2020 - "2 Billion People will suffer from cell phone cancer". Even if 1% comes true, it will have devastating consequences to so many of us!!
All this calls for immediate need to adopt strict and lower radiation norms.

The world’s populations – from children to the general public to scientists and physicians – are increasingly faced with great pressures from advertising urging the incorporation of the latest wireless device into their everyday lives. This is occuring even while an elementary understanding the possible health consequences is beyond the ability of most people to grasp. The exposures are invisible, the testing meters are expensive and technically difficult to operate, the industry promotes new gadgets and generates massive advertising and lobbying campaigns that silence debate, and the reliable, non-wireless alternatives (like wired telephones and utility meters) are being discontinued against public will. There is little labeling, and little or no informed choice. In fact there is often not even the choice to stay with safer, wired solutions, as in the case of the ‘smart grid’ and smart wireless utility metering, an extreme example of a failed corporate-governmental partnership strategy, ostensibly for energy conservation.
A collision of the wireless technology rollout and the costs of choosing unwisely is beginning and will grow. The groundwork for this collision is being laid as a result of increased exposure, especially to radiofrequency fields, in education, in housing, in commerce, in communications and entertainment, in medical technologies and imaging, and in public and private transportation by air, bus, train and motor vehicles. Special concerns are the care of the fetus and newborn, the care for children with learning disabilities, and consideration of people under protections of the Americans With Disabilities Act, which includes people who have become sensitized and physiologically intolerant of chronic exposures.

Electric fields are created by differences in voltage: the higher the voltage, the stronger will
be the resultant field. Magnetic fields are created when electric current flows: the greater the
current, the stronger the magnetic field. An electric field will exist even when there is no
current flowing. If current does flow, the strength of the magnetic field will vary with power
consumption but the electric field strength will be constant.
Electromagnetic fields are present everywhere in our environment but are invisible to the
human eye. Electric fields are produced by the local build-up of electric charges in the
atmosphere associated with thunderstorms. The earth's magnetic field causes a compass
needle to orient in a North-South direction and is used by birds and fish for navigation.
Besides natural sources the electromagnetic spectrum also includes fields generated by
human-made sources: X-rays are employed to diagnose a broken limb after a sport
accident. The electricity that comes out of every power socket has associated low frequency
electromagnetic fields. And various kinds of higher frequency radiowaves are used to
transmit information – whether via TV antennas, radio stations or mobile phone base
stations.

Cell Tower radiation has become of extreme concern as we are exposed to them 24x7 and one cannot do much if the tower antenna is mounted right on top of your home/school/office building etc. In India, currently (2009) there are about 3.75 lakh cell towers installed and the numbers are expected to rise to 4.25 lakh towers by 2010. Radiation level measurements were carried out at various locations and the levels were found to be far above the recommended values. Common complains like Sleep disruption, Headache, Depression, Concentration, Memory loss, behavior, discomfort, irritability, nausea, dizziness, appetite loss, muscle spasms, numbness, tingling, altered reflexes,seizures, paralysis, psychosis, stroke- all related to changes in the electrical activity of the brain have been on a rise. Similarly increased cases of Alzheimer’s , Parkinson's disease,infertility, child leukemia, brain tumor cases have been associated with the continuously emitting cell tower radiation. On reviewing several epidemiological and experimental studies on harmful effects of Cell Tower Radiation on health of human and animals, we recommend safe radiation levels up to 50 μW/m2 , with a upper limit as 100 μW/m2. Towards the end, details of "Radiation Shield" -instrument designed to absorb radiation between frequency 800 to 4000 MHz have been given.
We discuss the purported link between cell phone
radiation and cancer. We show that it is inconsistent with the photoelectric effect, and that epidemiological studies of any link have no scientific basis. Read this doc to know more.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).
