This document discusses a presentation on a smart explosive detector robot. The robot uses an Android phone camera mounted on a hydraulic robotic arm to remotely inspect vehicles for explosives. An ultrasonic sensor helps the arm avoid obstacles while moving under vehicles. The system utilizes IP networking so inspection personnel can remotely control the robot and view its camera feed from a safe control room. The present condition in Industry is that they are using the crane system to carry the parcels from one place to another, including harbors. Some times the lifting of big weights may cause the breakage of lifting materials and will cause damage to the parcels too. Application of the proposed system is for industries. The robot movement depends on the track. Use of this robot is to transport the materials from one place to another place in the industry.
A robot is a machine designed to execute one or more tasks repeatedly, with speed and precision. There are as many different types of robots as there are tasks for them to perform. A robot can be controlled by a human operator, sometimes from a great distance. In such type of applications wireless communication is more important.
In robotic applications, generally we need a remote device to control. If we use IR remote device, it is just limited to meters distance and also if any obstacle is in between its path then there will be no communication. If we consider, RF modules for remote operations there is no objection whether an obstacle is present in its path. So that it is very helpful to control robot.
RF modules itself can generates its carrier frequency which is around 2.4 GHz. We need to generate serial data using micro controller and fed to the RF transmitting module. On other side RF receiver receives sent data as RF signals and given to another micro controller. Here, RF receiver itself demodulates the data from carrier signal and generate serial data as output.

In this project to overcome the demerits of radio system we used wireless technology for tracking the miners. For this purpose a small RF transmitter module is equipped to each person entering a mine. Each transceiver placed in the mine look after the location of miners. The transceivers communicate with base stations through Zigbee module. In addition of tracking the location of miners we also include sensors such as temperature & humidity to intimate the base station & miners when some atmosphere changes occur. Mine operators are now able to monitor the real-time locations of each miner to better pinpoint their locations in the event of an emergency. Even after a full-day of use, mine operators can locate an individual miner within ten feet.

My solution for this involves IoT device fixed on the safety jacket which is called Smart safety jacket.The Smart Safety Jacket enables complete safety of the employees working in mining and construction industries by installing a different type of sensors like Temperature sensor, Humidity sensor, Ultrasonic sensor, Motion sensor, Gas sensor, Sound sensor, RFID, Emergency Panel, and Notification Panel. These sensors connected to the network through Wi-Fi makes more relevant and valuable ever than before. In case of emergency, immediate notification will be sent to an admin who is monitoring entire miners in the mining industry and immediate action will be taken to rescue miner from the hazard.
The whole process can be stated in two points.
1. The miner has to wear the smart safety jacket (connected with the sensors) which is connected to the control room via a network.
2. A Monitor in the control room who is continuously monitoring the miners and the mining site should check the hazard status and alert and rescue the miners in case of any critical situation.
Thus the mining environment and miners will be protected from the hazard.

Three U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) component agencies carry out the majority of border-security missions: the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A universal and more open world creates a growing need for more effective ways to control borders.
The soldiers may sometimes cross their area limit without their knowledge. This causes a lot of problems. They may be caught by other people. This project is developed for the soldiers to find out the border and to check whether the person is authorized or unauthorized. The main modules in this project are the RF transducer, ARM controller unit, and LCD. The Zigbee transmitter is connected to the border area. It transmits RF signals within a particular limit. The Zigbee receiver with the ARM controller unit will be under the control of the commander. When the soldier reaches a particular area, the RF signals are received by the receiver and given to the ARM controller unit. The ARM controller analyses the signal and sends the corresponding message to the LCD and the same information is transmitted to the commander via Zigbee. The receiver which is there at the commander receives the signal which was transmitted from the transmitter via Zigbee and displays proper information on the display. The ARM controller program is written in embedded c language and the microcontroller used is ARM7LPC2148.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.

Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

4. INTRODUCTION
Networked video, also called video over IP and IP video, can have substantial benefits for
small- and medium sized businesses. This guide will help explain the technologies and
benefits as well as provide information on how to select a system provider. Networked
video is today’s generation in video surveillance and can provide numerous advantages
over analog and digital video recorder-based systems. Networked video systems (NVS)
are developed to utilize Internet Protocol (IP) enabled devices, such as computers,
network switches and IP cameras. Internet Protocols are a collection of standardized and
globally accepted protocols for information transmission through a network.
Traditionally, under-vehicle inspection has been accomplished through personnel
walking around the vehicle with a mirror at the end of a stick. The personnel identify
contraband such as weapons, bombs, and other security threats by looking at the mirror.
The mirror-on-the-stick system enables only partial coverage under a vehicle and is
restricted by ambient lighting during the day and requires a flash light in the night when
there is very limited lighting. Such a system also places the inspection personnel at an
endangering risk of possible detonation. Subsequent progress toward remote inspection
have implemented the idea of using underground embedded vision and thermal sensors
at security check points and generating mosaics for better visualization.

Internet Protocol (IP) is a term used for any application or
software program that is developed using a set of computing
standards which allows data to be transferred over the
Internet. In technical terms, the data is communicated over
the Internet via a packet-switched internetwork using the

7. Gear Motor:
Gear motors are complete motive force systems consisting of
an electric motor and a reduction gear train integrated into one
easy-to-mount and -configure package. This greatly reduces the
complexity and cost of designing and constructing power tools,
machines and appliances calling for high torque at relatively low
shaft speed or RPM. Gear motors allow the use of economical
low-horsepower motors to provide great motive force at low
speed such as in lifts, winches, medical tables, jacks and
robotics. They can be large enough to lift a building or small
enough to drive a tiny clock.
8. Hydraulic robotic arm-
Hydraulics is used in many applications we see or use
every day. The brakes in an automobile or the lift on
the bucket of a tractor are two very common
applications. We can experiment with simple
hydraulics using plastic syringes for cylinders and
small plastic tubing for the hydraulic hose.
Ultrasonic sensor-
These devices work on a principle similar to that of
transducers used in radar and sonar systems, which
evaluate attributes of a target by interpreting the echoes
from radio or sound waves, respectively. Active ultrasonic
sensors generate high-frequency sound waves and
evaluate the echo which is received back by the sensor,
measuring the time interval between sending the signal
and receiving the echo to determine the distance to an

The 78xx (sometimes L78xx, LM78xx, MC78xx...) is a family of self-contained
fixed linear voltage regulator integrated circuits.
The 78xx family is commonly used in electronic circuits requiring a regulated
power supply due to their ease-of-use and low cost. For ICs within the family,

IP Web came is a software which works through LAN(Local area network) or
hotspot,wifi. We open a browser in our PC. A Link will be seen in our mobile then
our mobile and pc will get connected .
The pc will be operated by any worker in the control room, if in case there is any
objectionable material found then he can zoom the image and if we want we can
stop our robot and can also make video of it .The whole process will be wireless. it
will work through hotspot or wifi.
An ultrasonic sensor which generate high frequency sound waves and evaluate the
echo which is received back by the sensor. the time interval between sending and
receiving echo will determine the distance of the object. the sensor on the arm of
the robot will detect the distance from ground and will also make sure that the arm
does not get struck by any other object. we can also detect any expolsive material
in night also.

14. CONCLUSION
This presentation has presented an overview of available sensor technologies
for friction/ice Detection, vehicle detection, and acceleration detection.
The mobile robot system designed is simple and easy to program with
acceptable results. Naturally in a battlefield situation there are many hazardous
situations that a soldier could encounter which would ideally be handled by a
machine, and even relatively safe tasks like repetitive transport jobs would be
excellent candidates for a mobile robot.
