- 2. • I practiced how to make a good story board using text, shots, lighting and camera angles. I learnt how to take different shots from differ angle to get the most effective picture. I also learnt how to get the best lighting for shots by positioning the camera and the actor in different ways. I can now go on to use this in my final task by using this preliminary storyboard as a base for my storyboard which I will aid me in my filming. This storyboard will help me plan how to achieve the best effects for my trailer. • I learnt how to use the camera to make different angles which made the shots more exciting and diverse. By using the camera in this way I observed how I could use my video camera during production to make the trailer more exciting. These exciting shots will attract my audience and my trailer will be filled with exciting interesting shots that can be together in a fast paced manner so to build up the audience’s excitement of the movie from watching the trailer. • I presented filmic ideas, story and narrative flow that can be used to communicate all my ideas. On my storyboard as well as including pictures I used language to represent the images and to show transitions between them. This will provide someone with a better understanding of the story and help the audience to visualise the final product clearly.
- 3. • I put my knowledge of camera distance into play which I learnt from previous studies e.g. long shots, medium shots etc. I used this knowledge along with that of angles, framing and movement to create meaning. To create intensity I captured certain aspects close up. By focusing on certain objects e.g. the phone, the audience could see things that were important and were drawn to small details that were used to tell the story. • I was imaginative and used Photoshop to create the effect of blood, to add emphasis to the story. I have learnt that digital technology can be used to alter images so to achieve the effect an artist wants. To create the blood I used a red colour and liquefied it. I can now use this effect along with others for my final production pieces. It has made me think about creating and modifying images I wouldn’t have thought of altering before. From this I can create an exciting body of work and images.
