3. Photoshop
• I have learnt how to draw around
an image and delete the
background by the ‘magic wand
tool’. I used it to cut around my
main image to use for my
magazine; so it looked neat and
more presentable. I found this
helpful because with out this my
images wouldn’t fit in with the
style of my magazine without
certain things taken off the image.

4. Photoshop
• I learnt that the text tool let
me add text anywhere on my
magazine cover. I could
stretch the text using ‘Ctrl T’
instead of increasing the size
of the text. This made my
magazine look individual and
stand out from the rest. I also
used it to slant my text.

5. Photoshop
• The shape tool allowed me to
create a background effect for
my text. I used the rectangle
tool to create a box and added
my text on top of the shape to
make it stand out. I found this
my most effective tool I learnt
how to use as I used it so much
throughout the process of
making my magazine.

6. Camera
I have learnt how to use an DLR camera to
take photos for my magazine front
cover, contents page and double page spread.
I have learnt how to use the basic setting on
the camera including:
•Zoom
•Focus
•Flash
•How to look back at my images

7. Quark
• I have learned how to put and take off the guidelines
for my double page spread and contents page; to
see how it looks without them on.
• I have learnt how to add an image and put a shape
behind it.
• I have learnt how to add text to a page for my cover
lines and mastheads.
• I have learnt how to put a background onto my
contents page and double page spread.
• I have learnt how to change the size, colour and font
of text.

8. Blogger
• I used blogger to upload all my blogs.
• How to upload pictures
• How to write a post and change the
font, style and colour of it.
• How to embed a post into blogger, such as
slideshare or prezi.

9. Prezi
• I used Prezi for an evaluation
question.
• I found it very effective as it was a
new way to present my information.
• I learnt how to change the path for
my presentation.
• How to change the layout.
• I learnt how to change the colour of
the circles and the font.

10. Slideshare.net
• I used slide share to put all of my
powerpoint presentations on to
blogger.
• I have learnt how to embed the
slideshare code into blogger.
• I learnt how to change how long
my presentations were on for.

11. Lighting
• I used a white background sheet for my main
cover page for my magazine. I had a choice
between white or black. I chose white as i
found it would be easier to cut around the
image, and also the light would be
brighter, and more effective on a white
background.
