This document discusses an efficient technique for color image classification using support vector machines with radial basis functions (SVM-RBF). It presents SVM-RBF as an improvement over other classification methods like SVM with ant colony optimization (SVM-ACO) and directed acyclic graph (SVM-DAG). The paper tests the different classifiers on 600 images across 3 classes, finding SVM-RBF achieved the highest precision and recall rates, with precision of 92.3-94% and recall of 84.8-91%. It concludes SVM-RBF more effectively reduces noise and the semantic gap to enhance image classification performance compared to the other methods.
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF BINARY NEURAL NETWORK LEARNING WITH FUZZY CLUSTE...cscpconf
In this paper, Design and Implementation of Binary Neural Network Learning with Fuzzy
Clustering (DIBNNFC), is proposed to classify semisupervised data, it is based on the
concept of binary neural network and geometrical expansion. Parameters are updated
according to the geometrical location of the training samples in the input space, and each
sample in the training set is learned only once. It’s a semisupervised based approach, the
training samples are semi-labelled i.e. for some samples, labels are known and for some
samples data labels are not known. The method starts with classification, which is done by
using the concept of ETL algorithm. In classification process various classes are formed.
These classes classify samples in to two classes after that considers each class as a region and calculates the average of the entire region separately. This average is centres of the region which is used for the purpose of clustering by using FCM algorithm. Once clustering process over labelling of semi supervised data is done, then whole samples would be classify by (DIBNNFC). The method proposes here is exhaustively tested with different benchmark datasets and it is found that, on increasing value of training parameters number of hidden neurons and training time both are getting decrease. The result reported, using real character recognition data set and result will compare with existing semi-supervised classifier, the proposed approach learned with semi-supervised leads to higher classification accuracy.
CONTENT BASED VIDEO CATEGORIZATION USING RELATIONAL CLUSTERING WITH LOCAL SCA...ijcsit
This paper introduces a novel approach for efficient video categorization. It relies on two main
components. The first one is a new relational clustering technique that identifies video key frames by
learning cluster dependent Gaussian kernels. The proposed algorithm, called clustering and Local Scale
Learning algorithm (LSL) learns the underlying cluster dependent dissimilarity measure while finding
compact clusters in the given dataset. The learned measure is a Gaussian dissimilarity function defined
with respect to each cluster. We minimize one objective function to optimize the optimal partition and the
cluster dependent parameter. This optimization is done iteratively by dynamically updating the partition
and the local measure. The kernel learning task exploits the unlabeled data and reciprocally, the
categorization task takes advantages of the local learned kernel. The second component of the proposed
video categorization system consists in discovering the video categories in an unsupervised manner using
the proposed LSL. We illustrate the clustering performance of LSL on synthetic 2D datasets and on high
dimensional real data. Also, we assess the proposed video categorization system using a real video
collection and LSL algorithm.

In recent machine learning community, there is a trend of constructing a linear logarithm version of
nonlinear version through the ‘kernel method’ for example kernel principal component analysis, kernel
fisher discriminant analysis, support Vector Machines (SVMs), and the current kernel clustering
algorithms. Typically, in unsupervised methods of clustering algorithms utilizing kernel method, a
nonlinear mapping is operated initially in order to map the data into a much higher space feature, and then
clustering is executed. A hitch of these kernel clustering algorithms is that the clustering prototype resides
in increased features specs of dimensions and therefore lack intuitive and clear descriptions without
utilizing added approximation of projection from the specs to the data as executed in the literature
presented. This paper aims to utilize the ‘kernel method’, a novel clustering algorithm, founded on the
conventional fuzzy clustering algorithm (FCM) is anticipated and known as kernel fuzzy c-means algorithm

the novel Euclidean matric norm in cluster prototype and fuzzy clustering algorithm still reside in the space

original. This property is used for clustering incomplete data. Execution on supposed data illustrate that

Optimized Neural Network for Classification of Multispectral ImagesIDES Editor
The proposed work involves the multiobjective PSO
based optimization of artificial neural network structure for
the classification of multispectral satellite images. The neural
network is used to classify each image pixel in various land
cove types like vegetations, waterways, man-made structures
and road network. It is per pixel supervised classification using
spectral bands (original feature space). Use of neural network
for classification requires selection of most discriminative
spectral bands and determination of optimal number of nodes
in hidden layer. We propose new methodology based on
multiobjective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) to
determine discriminative spectral bands and the number of
hidden layer node simultaneously. The result obtained using
such optimized neural network is compared with that of
traditional classifiers like MLC and Euclidean classifier. The
performance of all classifiers is evaluated quantitatively using
Xie-Beni and â indexes. The result shows the superiority of
the proposed method.
MetaPerturb: Transferable Regularizer for Heterogeneous Tasks and ArchitecturesMLAI2
Regularization and transfer learning are two popular techniques to enhance generalization on unseen data, which is a fundamental problem of machine learning. Regularization techniques are versatile, as they are task- and architecture-agnostic, but they do not exploit a large amount of data available. Transfer learning methods learn to transfer knowledge from one domain to another, but may not generalize across tasks and architectures, and may introduce new training cost for adapting to the target task. To bridge the gap between the two, we propose a transferable perturbation, MetaPerturb, which is meta-learned to improve generalization performance on unseen data. MetaPerturb is implemented as a set-based lightweight network that is agnostic to the size and the order of the input, which is shared across the layers. Then, we propose a meta-learning framework, to jointly train the perturbation function over heterogeneous tasks in parallel. As MetaPerturb is a set-function trained over diverse distributions across layers and tasks, it can generalize to heterogeneous tasks and architectures. We validate the efficacy and generality of MetaPerturb trained on a specific source domain and architecture, by applying it to the training of diverse neural architectures on heterogeneous target datasets against various regularizers and fine-tuning. The results show that the networks trained with MetaPerturb significantly outperform the baselines on most of the tasks and architectures, with a negligible increase in the parameter size and no hyperparameters to tune.

This paper presents SimCLR: a simple framework for contrastive learning of visual representations. We simplify recently proposed contrastive self-supervised learning algorithms without requiring specialized architectures or a memory bank. In order to understand what enables the contrastive prediction tasks to learn useful representations, we systematically study the major components of our framework. We show that (1) composition of data augmentations plays a critical role in defining effective predictive tasks, (2) introducing a learnable nonlinear transformation between the representation and the contrastive loss substantially improves the quality of the learned representations, and (3) contrastive learning benefits from larger batch sizes and more training steps compared to supervised learning. By combining these findings, we are able to considerably outperform previous methods for self-supervised and semi-supervised learning on ImageNet. A linear classifier trained on self-supervised representations learned by SimCLR achieves 76.5% top-1 accuracy, which is a 7% relative improvement over previous state-of-the-art, matching the performance of a supervised ResNet-50. When fine-tuned on only 1% of the labels, we achieve 85.8% top-5 accuracy, outperforming AlexNet with 100X fewer labels.

detection is an issue. Thus, Neural Networks have been introduced in the field of computer science. Neural
Networks are also called as ‘Artificial Neural Networks’ [13]. Artificial Neural Networks are computational
models of the brain which helps in object detection and recognition. This paper describes and demonstrates the
different types of Neural Networks such as ANN, KNN, FASTER R-CNN, 3D-CNN, RNN etc. with their accuracies.
From the study of various research papers, the accuracies of different Neural Networks are discussed and
compared and it can be concluded that in the given test cases, the ANN gives the best accuracy for the object

High Speed Data Exchange Algorithm in Telemedicine with Wavelet based on 4D M...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
Existing Medical imaging techniques such as fMRI, positron emission tomography (PET), dynamic 3D ultrasound and dynamic computerized tomography yield large amounts of four-dimensional sets. 4D medical data sets are the series of volumetric images netted in time, large in size and demand a great of assets for storage and transmission. Here, in this paper, we present a method wherein 3D image is taken and Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT) and Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform(DTCWT) techniques are applied separately on it and the image is split into sub-bands. The encoding and decoding are done using 3D-SPIHT, at different bit per pixels(bpp). The reconstructed image is synthesized using Inverse DWT technique. The quality of the compressed image has been evaluated using some factors such as Mean Square Error(MSE) and Peak-Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR).
Comparison Between Levenberg-Marquardt And Scaled Conjugate Gradient Training...CSCJournals
The Internet paved way for information sharing all over the world decades ago and its popularity for distribution of data has spread like a wildfire ever since. Data in the form of images, sounds, animations and videos is gaining users’ preference in comparison to plain text all across the globe. Despite unprecedented progress in the fields of data storage, computing speed and data transmission speed, the demands of available data and its size (due to the increase in both, quality and quantity) continue to overpower the supply of resources. One of the reasons for this may be how the uncompressed data is compressed in order to send it across the network. This paper compares the two most widely used training algorithms for multilayer perceptron (MLP) image compression – the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm and the Scaled Conjugate Gradient algorithm. We test the performance of the two training algorithms by compressing the standard test image (Lena or Lenna) in terms of accuracy and speed. Based on our results, we conclude that both algorithms were comparable in terms of speed and accuracy. However, the Levenberg- Marquardt algorithm has shown slightly better performance in terms of accuracy (as found in the average training accuracy and mean squared error), whereas the Scaled Conjugate Gradient algorithm faired better in terms of speed (as found in the average training iteration) on a simple MLP structure (2 hidden layers).
A Novel GA-SVM Model For Vehicles And Pedestrial Classification In Videosijtsrd
The paper presents a novel algorithm for object classification in videos based on improved support vector machine (SVM) and genetic algorithm. One of the problems of support vector machine is selection of the appropriate parameters for the kernel. This has affected the accuracy of the SVM over the years. This research aims at optimizing the SVM Radial Basis kernel parameters using the genetic algorithm. Moving object classification is a requirement in smart visual surveillance systems as it allows the system to know the kind of object in the scene and be able to recognize the actions the object can perform. This paper presents an GA-SVM machine learning approach for real time object classification in videos. Radial distance signal features are extracted from the silhouettes of object detected in videos. The radial distance signals features are then normalized and fed into the GA-SVM model. The classification rate of 99.39% is achieved with the genetically trained SVM algorithm while 99.1% classification accuracy is achieved with the normal SVM. A comparison of this classifier with some other classifiers in terms of classification accuracy shows a better performance than other classifiers such as the normal SVM, Artificial neural network (ANN), Genetic Artificial neural network (GANN), K-nearest neighbor (K-NN) and K-Means classifiers. An ensemble classification algorithm for hyperspectral imagessipij
Hyperspectral image analysis has been used for many purposes in environmental monitoring, remote
sensing, vegetation research and also for land cover classification. A hyperspectral image consists of many
layers in which each layer represents a specific wavelength. The layers stack on top of one another making
a cube-like image for entire spectrum. This work aims to classify the hyperspectral images and to produce
a thematic map accurately. Spatial information of hyperspectral images is collected by applying
morphological profile and local binary pattern. Support vector machine is an efficient classification
algorithm for classifying the hyperspectral images. Genetic algorithm is used to obtain the best feature
subjected for classification. Selected features are classified for obtaining the classes and to produce a
thematic map. Experiment is carried out with AVIRIS Indian Pines and ROSIS Pavia University. Proposed
method produces accuracy as 93% for Indian Pines and 92% for Pavia University.

SVM Based Identification of Psychological Personality Using Handwritten Text IJERA Editor
Identification of Personality is a complex process. To ease this process, a model is developed using cursive
handwriting. Area based, width based and height based thresholds are set for only character selection, word
selection and line selection. The rest is considered as noise. Followed by feature vector construction. Slope
feature using slope calculation, shape features and edge detection done using Sobel filter and direction
histogram is considered. Based on the direction of handwriting the analysis was done. Writing which rises to
the right shows optimism and cheerfulness. Sagging to the right shows physical or mental weariness. The lines
which are straight, reveals over-control to compensate for an inner fear of loss of control. The analysis was done
using single line and multiple lines. Simple techniques have provided good results. The results using single line
were 95% and multiple lines were 91%.The classification is done using SVM classifier.
Shallow vs. Deep Image Representations: A Comparative Study with Enhancements...CSCJournals
The traditional approach for solving the object recognition problem requires image representations to be first extracted and then fed to a learning model such as an SVM. These representations are handcrafted and heavily engineered by running the object image through a sequence of pipeline steps which requires a good prior knowledge of the problem domain in order to engineer these representations. Moreover, since the classification is done in a separate step, the resultant handcrafted representations are not tuned by the learning model which prevents it from learning complex representations that might would give it more discriminative power. However, in end-to-end deep learning models, image representations along with the classification decision boundary are all learnt directly from the raw data requiring no prior knowledge of the problem domain. These models deeply learn the object image representation hierarchically in multiple layers corresponding to multiple levels of abstraction resulting in representations that are more discriminative and give better results on challenging benchmarks. In contrast to the traditional handcrafted representations, the performance of deep representations improves with the introduction of more data, and more learning layers (more depth) and they perform well on large-scale machine learning problems. The purpose of this study is six fold: (1) review the literature of the pipeline processes used in the previous state-of-the-art codebook model approach for tackling the problem of generic object recognition, (2) Introduce several enhancements in the local feature extraction and normalization steps of the recognition pipeline, (3) compare the enhancements proposed to different encoding methods and contrast them to previous results, (4) experiment with current state-of-the-art deep model architectures used for object recognition, (5) compare between deep representations extracted from the deep learning model and shallow representations handcrafted through the recognition pipeline, and finally, (6) improve the results further by combining multiple different deep learning models into an ensemble and taking the maximum posterior probability.
Improving the Accuracy of Object Based Supervised Image Classification using ...CSCJournals
A lot of research has been undertaken and is being carried out for developing an accurate classifier for extraction of objects with varying success rates. Most of the commonly used advanced classifiers are based on neural network or support vector machines, which uses radial basis functions, for defining the boundaries of the classes. The drawback of such classifiers is that the boundaries of the classes as taken according to radial basis function which are spherical while the same is not true for majority of the real data. The boundaries of the classes vary in shape, thus leading to poor accuracy. This paper deals with use of new basis functions, called cloud basis functions (CBFs) neural network which uses a different feature weighting, derived to emphasize features relevant to class discrimination, for improving classification accuracy. Multi layer feed forward and radial basis functions (RBFs) neural network are also implemented for accuracy comparison sake. It is found that the CBFs NN has demonstrated superior performance compared to other activation functions and it gives approximately 3% more accuracy.
Image Segmentation Using Two Weighted Variable Fuzzy K MeansEditor IJCATR
Image segmentation is the first step in image analysis and pattern recognition. Image segmentation is the process of dividing an image into different regions such that each region is homogeneous. The accurate and effective algorithm for segmenting image is very useful in many fields, especially in medical image. This paper presents a new approach for image segmentation by applying k-means algorithm with two level variable weighting. In image segmentation, clustering algorithms are very popular as they are intuitive and are also easy to implement. The K-means and Fuzzy k-means clustering algorithm is one of the most widely used algorithms in the literature, and many authors successfully compare their new proposal with the results achieved by the k-Means and Fuzzy k-Means. This paper proposes a new clustering algorithm called TW-fuzzy k-means, an automated two-level variable weighting clustering algorithm for segmenting object. In this algorithm, a variable weight is also assigned to each variable on the current partition of data. This could be applied on general images and/or specific images (i.e., medical and microscopic images). The proposed TW-Fuzzy k-means algorithm in terms of providing a better segmentation performance for various type of images. Based on the results obtained, the proposed algorithm gives better visual quality as compared to several other clustering methods.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Abstract
Image classification is backbone for image data available around us. It is necessary to use a technique for
classified the data in a particular class. In multiclass classification used different Classifier technique for the
classification of data, such as binary classifier and support vector machine .In this paper we used an efficient
classification technique as radial basis function. A Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network has an input
layer, a hidden layer and an output layer. The neurons in the hidden layer contain Gaussian transfer functions
whose outputs are inversely proportional to the distance from the center of the neuron. For classification of data
support vector machine (SVM) is used as binary classifier. The some approaches commonly used are the One-
Against-One (1A1), One-Against-All (1AA),and SVM as Ant Colony Optimization(ACO). SVM-ACO decrease
unclassified data and also decrease noise with outer line of data. Here SVM-RBF reduce noise with outer line
data and complexity more than SVM-ACO.
Keywords-- Image classification; feature sampling; support vector machine; ACO; RBF.
I .INTRODUCTION
A large part of this research work is devoted to finding suitable representations for the images due to large
collection of image data available around us. From classification trees to neural networks, there are many
possible choices for what classifier to use. Classification has delivered important meanings in our life. In general,
the definition of classification simply means the grouping together of alike things according to common qualities
or characteristics. Classification has essential part to play especially in assisting in the search process. By
classifying things into different segments it enables us to retrieve things or information that we needed to look
for, without the risk of too much time consuming in retrieving that particular things or information. The Support
Vector Machine (SVM) approach is considered a good candidate because of its high generalization performance
without the need to add a Prior knowledge, even when the dimension of the input space is very high.
II. Support Vector Machines
A Support Vector Machine (SVM) performs classification by constructing an N-dimensional hyper-plane that
optimally separates the data into two categories. SVM models are closely related to neural networks. In fact, a
SVM model using a sigmoid kernel function is equivalent to a two-layer, perceptron neural network In the
parlance of SVM literature, a predictor variable is called an attribute, and a transformed attribute that is used to
define the hyper-plane is called a feature. The task of choosing the most suitable representation is known
as feature selection. A set of features that describes one case (i.e., a row of predictor values) is called a vector.
So the goal of SVM modeling is to find the optimal hyper-plane that separates clusters of vector in such a way
that cases with one category of the target variable are on one side of the plane and cases with the other category
are on the other size of the plane. The vectors near the hyper-plane are the support vectors. The figure below
presents an overview of the SVM process.

disease diagnosis. The algorithm improves the classical fuzzy c-means algorithm (FCM) by the use of a gain
field, which models and corrects intensity in homogeneities caused by a microscope imaging system, flairs of
targets (chromosomes), and uneven hybridization of DNA. Other than directly simulating the in homogeneously
distributed intensities over the image, the gain field regulates centers of each intensity cluster. Sai Yang and
Chunxia Zhao etld[3] A Fusing Algorithm of Bag-Of-Features Model and Fisher Linear Discriminative
Analysis in Image Classification A fusing image classification algorithm is presented, which uses Bag-Of-
Features model (BOF) as images’ initial semantic features, and subsequently employs Fisher linear
discriminative analysis (FLDA) algorithm to get its distribution in a linear optimal subspace as images’ final
features. Lastly images are classified by K nearest neighbour algorithm. The experimental results indicate that
the image classification algorithm combining BOW and FLDA has more powerful classification performances.
In order to further improve the middle-level semantic describing performance, we propose compressing the BOF
distribution of images distributing loosely in high-dimensional space to a low-dimensional space by using FLDA,
the images are classified in this space by KNN algorithm. SooBeom Park, Jae Won Lee, Sang Kyoon Kim etld[4]
Content-based image classification using a neural network A method of content-based image classification using
a neural network. The images for classification are object images that can be divided into foreground and
background. To deal with the object images efficiently, in the pre-processing step we extract the object region
using a region segmentation technique. Features for the classification are shape-based texture features extracted
from wavelet-transformed images. The neural network classifier is constructed for the features using the back-
propagation learning algorithm. Among the various texture features, the diagonal moment was the most effective.
III. Radial Basis Function
A Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network has an input layer, a hidden layer and an output layer. The
neurons in the hidden layer contain Gaussian transfer functions whose outputs are inversely proportional to the
distance from the center of the neuron. An RBF network positions one or more RBF neurons in the space
described by the predictor variables (x,y in this example). This space has as many dimensions as there are
predictor variables. The Euclidean distance is computed from the point being evaluated (e.g., the triangle in this
figure) to the center of each neuron, and a radial basis function (RBF) (also called a kernel function) is applied to
the distance to compute the weight (influence) for each neuron. The radial basis function is so named because the
radius distance is the argument to the function

In this paper we use a Gaussian function as a kernel function. A Gaussian function is specified by its centre and

of training patterns and the dimension of the input space is fairly large. Therefore it is usual and pra
cluster the training patterns to a reasonable number of groups by using a clustering algorithm such as K
SOFM and then to assign a neuron to each cluster. A simple way, though not always effective, is to choose a
relatively small number of patterns randomly among the training patterns and create only that many neurons. A
clustering algorithm is a kind of an unsupervised learning algorithm and is used when the class of each training
pattern is not known. But an RBFN is a supervised l
training pattern. So we’d better take advantage of the information of these class memberships when we cluster
the training patterns. Various methods have been used to train RBF networks.

It is quite efficient to construct the middle layer of an RBF since we can finish clustering by going through the
entire training patterns only once. However, K-means clustering is a computationally intensive procedure, and it
often does not generate the optimal number of centers. Another approach is to use a random subset of the
training points as the centers.

Conclusions
SVM-DAG based support Vector machine perform a better classification in compression of another binary
multi-class classification. DAG applied a graph portion technique for the mapping of feature data. The mapping
space of feature data mapped correctly automatically improved the voting process of classification. But DAG
suffered a little bit problems with mapping of space data into feature selection process.SVM-ACO reduce the
problem of feature selection from mapping of data feature. Performance of result evaluation shows that our RBF-
SVM is better classifier in compression of SVM-ACO. SVM-RBF reduces the semantic gap and enhances the
performance of image classification. However, directly using SVM scheme has two main drawbacks. First, it
treats the core point and outlier equally, although this assumption is not appropriate since all outlier share a
common concept, while each core point differs in diverse concepts. Second, it does not take into account the
unlabeled samples, although they are very helpful in constructing a good classifier. In this dissertation, we have
explored unclassified region data on multi-class classification. We have designed SVM-RBF to alleviate the two
drawbacks in the traditional SVM.
