2 Amigopod Captive Portal Customisation
The main objective here is to be able to use the Amigopod Captive Portal (CP) just like the
Aruba CP and customise it with the Customer’s Logo and a wireless usage policy.
This is procedure is only for the customisation of Amigopod CP and assumes you already have
a working integration between Amigopod and Aruba controller.
2.1 Things you need
 Your customer’s Logo (here we call it customer_logo.jpg)
 Wireless usage acceptance policy (here we call it terms.html and a sample is available
in Appendix A)
2.2 Content Manager
We need to upload the customer logo and the wireless usage policy to Amigpod.
As you can see I am using a Tennis Australia Skin but this procedure is correct of you were
using the default Amigopod/Aruba skin.
Step 1 – Go to Customisation->Content Manager
Step 2 - Upload customer logo jpg file (customer_logo.jpg) and the usage acceptance policy
file (terms.html) by clicking on the “Upload New Content”
Customer Confidential 3 | P a g e
And this is what should be the end result as shown below.
2.3 Guest Manager
Step 3 - Go to Customisation-> Guest Manager.
Customer Confidential 4 | P a g e
Scroll down till you reach the “Terms of Use URL” section and change it to
“public/terms.html”, and click on “Save Configuration”
2.4 Web Logins
Step 4 - Go to Customisation->Web Logins, and create a new Web login page called
Customer_login
Customer Confidential 5 | P a g e
When you click on “Create a new web login page” you get the following page which is quite
lengthy and I have divide it up to fit into a number of pages.
You need to check the “Require a Terms and Conditions confirmation” to get the usage
acceptance policy working. You could also add a default URL which is almost same as the
“welcome page” on Aruba CP.
Customer Confidential 6 | P a g e
Choose the “Custom Skin 1” which should be part of all the SE subscription ID
Now click on the “insert content item” button and choose the “customer_logo.jpg” file that you
uploaded earlier. It will then be displayed in the Header HTML section as shown.
Click on the “save changes” button. Now you should have the customer_login web login as
shown below:
Customer Confidential 7 | P a g e
Now you need to click on the “Test” link to view the web login page you just created. Mine
looked like this.
Clicking on the “terms of use” link shows the following page.

3 Appendix A - Terms HTML File
This section contains a sample terms.html file. Just cut and paste the following into notepad
and save it as terms.html file.

Amigopod+cp+customisation v1.0

  • 1. Customer Confidential 1 | P a g e 1 Table of Contents Contents 1 Table of Contents............................................................................................. 1 2 Amigopod Captive Portal Customisation .............................................................. 2 2.1 Things you need......................................................................................... 2 2.2 Content Manager........................................................................................ 2 2.3 Guest Manager........................................................................................... 3 2.4 Web Logins................................................................................................ 4 3 Appendix A - Terms HTML File ........................................................................... 8
  • 2. Customer Confidential 2 | P a g e 2 Amigopod Captive Portal Customisation The main objective here is to be able to use the Amigopod Captive Portal (CP) just like the Aruba CP and customise it with the Customer’s Logo and a wireless usage policy. This is procedure is only for the customisation of Amigopod CP and assumes you already have a working integration between Amigopod and Aruba controller. 2.1 Things you need  Your customer’s Logo (here we call it customer_logo.jpg)  Wireless usage acceptance policy (here we call it terms.html and a sample is available in Appendix A) 2.2 Content Manager We need to upload the customer logo and the wireless usage policy to Amigpod. As you can see I am using a Tennis Australia Skin but this procedure is correct of you were using the default Amigopod/Aruba skin. Step 1 – Go to Customisation->Content Manager Step 2 - Upload customer logo jpg file (customer_logo.jpg) and the usage acceptance policy file (terms.html) by clicking on the “Upload New Content”
  • 3. Customer Confidential 3 | P a g e And this is what should be the end result as shown below. 2.3 Guest Manager Step 3 - Go to Customisation-> Guest Manager.
  • 4. Customer Confidential 4 | P a g e Scroll down till you reach the “Terms of Use URL” section and change it to “public/terms.html”, and click on “Save Configuration” 2.4 Web Logins Step 4 - Go to Customisation->Web Logins, and create a new Web login page called Customer_login
  • 5. Customer Confidential 5 | P a g e When you click on “Create a new web login page” you get the following page which is quite lengthy and I have divide it up to fit into a number of pages. You need to check the “Require a Terms and Conditions confirmation” to get the usage acceptance policy working. You could also add a default URL which is almost same as the “welcome page” on Aruba CP.
  • 6. Customer Confidential 6 | P a g e Choose the “Custom Skin 1” which should be part of all the SE subscription ID Now click on the “insert content item” button and choose the “customer_logo.jpg” file that you uploaded earlier. It will then be displayed in the Header HTML section as shown. Click on the “save changes” button. Now you should have the customer_login web login as shown below:
  • 7. Customer Confidential 7 | P a g e Now you need to click on the “Test” link to view the web login page you just created. Mine looked like this. Clicking on the “terms of use” link shows the following page.
  • 8. Customer Confidential 8 | P a g e 3 Appendix A - Terms HTML File This section contains a sample terms.html file. Just cut and paste the following into notepad and save it as terms.html file. ///////////////////////////////////////////// // Terms.html ///////////////////////////////////////////// <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>Public wireless Internet access</title> <style type="text/css"> body { font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: #FFFFFF; margin: 10px; padding: 10px; } h1 { font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; } h2 { font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; } p, ul, li, input { } </style> </head> <body> <h1 align="center">Company C<br/>Guest Wireless Access Acceptable Use Policy</h1> <p> This Policy is a guide to the acceptable use of the Company C Guest Wireless network facilities and services. <br/><br/> Any individual connected to the Guest Wireless Network in order to use it directly or to connect to any other network(s), must comply with this policy, the stated purposes and Acceptable Use policies of any other network(s) or host(s) used, and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. <br/><br/> Company C MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES CONCERNING THE AVAILABILITY OR SECURITY OF THE GUEST WIRELESS NETWORK, AND ALL USE IS PROVIDED ON AN AS-IS BASIS.
