The document discusses the composition of air and the water cycle. It begins by explaining that air contains water vapor and important gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide. It then goes into detail about the water cycle, describing how water evaporates into the air and condenses back into water droplets, forming clouds and precipitation in a continuous cycle. It also explains that air can contain dust particles and germs, so we should wash our hands before eating.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. WHAT DOES AIR CONTAIN?
If you take a glass of very cold water and place it on a
table, you will soon notice water drops sticking out on
the outer side of the glass. Why?
This water didn’t leak through the glass. It came from
the air.
Air contains water in the form of water vapor.
Air also contains important gases like oxygen and
carbon dioxide.
We breathe in oxygen.
Air may also contain dust particles and germs.
Theses can stick to our body easily. That is why we
should wash our hands before eating.
4. WATER
Water is very important for life on earth.
All living things need water.
We use water for various purposes, foe example:
Drinking cooking and watering plants.
Ice, water, and water vapor are the three
forms of water
5. SOURCES OF WATER
The water from rain is called rain water.
When snow on mountains melts, it flows into
rivers.
This is another source of water.
Rainwater fills puddles, ponds, lakes, rivers and
streams.
We build dams and canals to use river water.
Rainwater also seeps into the ground. We can use
this by digging wells and hand
6. DRINKING WATER
Water from Lakes, rivers, ponds and wells may not
always be clean.
Dirty water contains germs.
Drinking dirty water can make us ill.
We should boil water before drinking.
Boiling water can kill germs.
We should keep clean water in closed
7. SAVING WATER
We should not waste water.
We can save water in many ways
We should not let the tap run when we brush our
teeth.
We should not waste water while bathing or washing.
If we wash many fruits, we should wash them with
water
In a big bowl. Do not use running water.
Rainwater can be collected in tanks, drums and
buckets. This can be used for watering plants,
cleaning cars, and cleaning floors.
9. Evaporation Condensation
What happens to the water
when wet clothes dry in the
sun?
The water present in the wet
clothes changes into water
vapor.
What comes out of the vessel
when water boils?
It is steam that comes out.
Steam is also called water
vapor.
The change of water to water
vapor is called evaporation.
What happens when a steel
plate is held on top of a hot
vessel?
We see tiny droplets of water
on the plate.
On touching the cold plate,
the steam cools down and
changes back into droplets of
water.
The change of water
vapor to water droplets is
called condensation.
10. WATER CYCLE
The sun heats up the water from rivers, ponds, lakes, oceans,
and plants. This water evaporates into the air as water vapor.
Water vapor rises in the air. It cools down to form small water
droplets.
During condensation tiny water droplets mix with dust and other
things to form clouds.
Inside the clouds, the tiny water droplets join to form big drops.
When water drops in the cloud become too heavy to remain in
the air, they fall down as rain.
In places that are very cold, the water drops freeze into ice and
fall down as snow.
This rain water or the snow fills the rivers, ponds, and lakes as
this cycle continues.
The cycle involving the change of water into water vapor
and then to water again is called water cycle
12. WEATHER
THE GENERAL CONDITIONS OF AIR AROUND US IS CALLED W EATHER.
CHANGES IN
WEATHER ARE CAUSED BY THE SUN, WIND, AND WATER vapor IN THE AIR.
SUNNY DAYS WINDY AND CLOUDY DAYS
Sunny days are usually
hot.
Noon is the hottest time of
the day.
Mornings and evenings
are cooler.
Moving air is called wind.
When the wind blows
slowly, it is called a breeze.
Strong wind along with
rain or snow is called a
storm.
Sometimes storms are
accompanied by lightning
and thunder.
14. Seasons
Every few months the weather changes.
This change gives rise to different seasons.
There are five main seasons-summer, winter,
monsoon, autumn, and spring.
Summer is the hottest time of the year and winter is
the coldest.
It rains during monsoon.
Leaves fall in autumn.
In spring, there are flowers everywhere.
Change in season effects the kind of clothes we
wear, the food we eat, and the activities we do Every few months the
weather changes.
This change gives rise to different seasons.
There are five main seasons-summer, winter,
monsoon, autumn, and spring.
It rains during monsoon.
Leaves fall in autumn.
In spring, there are flowers everywhere.
