AIR JET LOOMS
INTRODUCTION
Air jet weaving is done on an air jet loom,
which propels yarn called "weft" by using
a jet of air. Weft yarn fills in the
lengthwise pattern set down first by the
  "warp" yarn.
 Shuttle less Weaving Machines
are generally of wider widths
 enabling the simultaneous
weaving of two or more
widths; up to 400/420 cms.
in the case of Air Jet.
 Weft insertion rate of Air
Jet Loom is 1500 - 2000
Mts / Min.
ADVANTAGES
 Maximum weft insertion rates of 2850
    meters per minute.
 Multicolor weft insertion up to 6 colors.
 Unusual electronic features like:
 Bidirectional communication with host
    computer.
 Automatic pick repairing.
 Automatic controls on weft insertion
    timings.
 Looming robot and automatic cloth
    doffing.
 For manufacture of Plain mass production
DISADVANTAGES
 Power consumption due to compressed
    air.

              The Next Step
 Air jet weaving may become computerized
soon after 2010.
 Experiments conducted in 2002 used a
computerized air jet loom with the
capacity to measure air and yarn
velocities.
THANK YOU.
