Real Time and Wireless Smart Faults Detection Device for Wind Turbineschokrio
In new energy development, wind power has boomed. It is due to the proliferation of wind parks and their operation in supplying the national electric grid with low cost and clean resources. Hence, there is an increased need to establish a proactive maintenance for wind turbine machines based on remote control and monitoring. That is necessary with a real-time wireless connection in offshore or inaccessible locations while the wired method has many flaws. The objective of this strategy is to prolong wind turbine lifetime and to increase productivity. The hardware of a remote control and monitoring system for wind turbine parks is designed. It takes advantage of GPRS or Wi-Max wireless module to collect data measurements from different wind machine sensors through IP based multi-hop communication. Computer simulations with Proteus ISIS and OPNET software tools have been conducted to evaluate the performance of the studied system. Study findings show that the designed device is suitable for application in a wind park.

Experimental investigation, optimization and performance prediction of wind t...eSAT Journals
Abstract Man has been doing business with Winds since a very long period of time; the wind power has been used as long as humans have put sails into the wind. For more than two millennia wind powered machines have ground grain and pumped water. This affiliation of man and wind is inexhaustible which makes Wind Energy a very significant and rapidly developing renewable energy sources in all over the world. But when it comes to electricity generation by harnessing the wind energy, indeed, it requires more technicality, since it requires a great need for correct and reliable installations of new wind turbines in a more optimized way for smooth operations and electricity productions, and for that, a precise knowledge of wind energy regime is a prerequisite for the efficient and optimized extraction of power from the wind. The main purpose of this paper is to present, in brief, wind potential and to perform an investigation on wind flow characteristics at RGPV Hill Top. In this work the recorded time series wind data for a period of five months as from july-2013 to November-2013 at the heights of 20 meters and 40 meters was fetched and analyzed for studying the observed wind climate, which was recorded by the NRG Symphonie Data logger wind mast installed at Energy Park, RGPV campus with an fixed averaging interval of 10 minutes, the analyzed data which was worked upon comprises of wind speed data in meter per second and its direction of flow in degrees. As a part of this work, the Wind Atlas Analysis and Application Program (WAsP) was employed to predict average mean-wind speeds for all directions for some desired sites. The influences of roughness of the terrain, for the area were also taken into consideration, followed by the vector map of the area. These data were analyzed using WAsP software and regional wind climate of the area was determined, leading to a wind resource map of the whole site, providing crucial details which helped in selecting the proposed turbine sites. Also, the AEP for the two already installed turbines was calculated.

Review on cyber-security for optimized and smart irrigation systemsTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
It is well known that the resources in agriculture are considered the most important factors for success. Therefore, numerous researchers are involved in the field of managing these resources, particularly water and consumed power. Moreover, the security side of these resources is considered, particularly the cyber-attacks. In this project, an optimized resource management method is proposed for allocating the available resources in a smart on-demand way. The proposed method is applied for dripped and sprinkler irrigation systems for managing the available water and generated power. In addition, an optimization method is utilized to obtain reliable solutions for managing the adopted resources. This method adopts a cyber security algorithm for preventing any possible attack. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is used as a reading source, in which the underlying area is covered well, since using sensors in irrigation systems is cost-effective that ensures on-demand irrigation process to save water and power resources. This network is supported by the fault tolerance method to increase availability.

When we breathe polluted air pollutants get into our lungs; they can enter the bloodstream and be carried to our internal organs such as the brain. This can cause severe health problems such as asthma, cardiovascular diseases and even cancer and reduces the quality and number of years of life.
Modern digitalized era of our 21st century needs automation in each and every sector. Combining technology to increase the credibility of an another technology is not at all a very good idea. India is a country where agriculture is the main and vast field for our national financial system. So we have tried to implement the fruitfulness of technology to combine with agricultural field so that the growth of crops can increase exponentially. Irrigation is the methodology of misleadingly supplying water to land where harvests are developed. Generally hand pumps, channel water and precipitation were a significant wellspring of water supply for watering system. This strategy has prompted serious disadvantages like under watering system, over-watering system which thus causes filtering and loss of supplement substance of soil. Changing ecological conditions and lack of water have prompted the requirement for a framework which effectively oversees watering system of fields. Computerized watering system framework is a machine based framework, which robotizes the watering system of area by joining different programming and equipment approaches together for field watering system.
This paper manages a definite study of different GSM based mechanized ranch watering system frameworks. GSM serves as an essential part since it is in charge of controlling the watering system office and sends them to recipient through coded sign. Our study is focused on examination of different GSM approach.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Agriculture drone for spraying fertilizer and pesticides
1. Agriculture Drone for Spraying Fertilizer and Pesticides
Abstract: The application of pesticides and fertilizers in agricultural areas is of prime importance for crop yields. The
use of aircraftsis becoming increasingly common in carrying out this taskmainly because of its speed and
effectiveness in the sprayingoperation. However, some factors may reduce the yield, oreven cause damage (e.g. crop
areas not covered in the sprayingprocess, overlapping spraying of crop areas, applying pesticideson the outer edge of
the crop). Climatic condition, such as the intensity and direction of the wind while sprayingadd further complexity to
the control problem. In this paper,we describe an architecture based on unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) which can
be employed to implement a controlloop for agricultural applications where UAVs are responsiblefor spraying
chemicals on crops. The process of applyingthe chemicals is controlled by means of the feedback obtainedfrom the
wireless sensor network (WSN) deployed onthe crop field. The aim of this solution is to support short delaysin the
control loop so that the spraying UAV can processthe information from the sensors. We evaluate an algorithmto
adjust the UAV route under changes in wind intensity anddirection. Moreover, we evaluate the impact of the
numberof communication messages between the UAV and minimize the waste of pesticides.
