The document describes a project to design an automatic robot for pest controlling in agriculture. It aims to reduce the manual work and health hazards farmers face when spraying pesticides. The proposed solution is an autonomous robot that can be remotely controlled to spray pesticides on crops. It is expected to minimize the workload on farmers and reduce the risks of breathing problems associated with pesticide spraying. 3. Introduction
Recent Century is full of of technology, none field can’t be remain without use of
the technology, Agriculture is one of those fields.
More than 42% of the total population in the world has chosen agriculture as their
primary occupation.
The farmers have to do many works , such of them are also not good for their
health.
Some problems about also their crops as some insects can damage their crops.
To decease or remove these damages different types of pesticides available .
But they are not safe for human health while spraying .

4.  Fungicides, Herbicides and pesticides are used for securing crops.
Pesticide: Pesticides are used to control insects that can be harmful to crops. They
are effective but have many side effects for the environment.

 In recent years, the development of autonomous vehicles in agriculture
has experienced increased interest.
These vehicles should be capable of working 24 hours a day all year
round, in all weather conditions.
So, this project is based on spraying the pesticide liquids on crops in the
field with the help of robots which can reduce the manually work.

6.  In this project work an engineering solution to the current human health
hazards involved in spraying potentially toxic chemicals.
 Such types of robots are called as Agrobots.
Here in this project we want to design a robot, which can be controlled by
using a remote for spraying the pesticides in the field or greenhouse.

7. Agrobot’s components
Agrobots consist of many components such as RF transmitter, RF receiver,
microcontroller etc…
Main components are:1.Remote
2.Robot
1. In this system Remote is worked as RF transmitter which encodes the data.
Remote is built by using Key-board, which is interfaced with the controller
89c2051.
The RF transmitter will transmit the data that is given by the controller.
2. Robot is worked as RF receiver which decodes the data received from the
remote control.
Robot is designed by DC motors for the movement of the robot, RF receiver in
order to receive the data.

8. Short description of robot’s parts:-
1.Remote & Keyboard:-There are 6 keys in the remote for controlling the
Agrobot. This is interfaced to the controller.
1) Forward 4) Right turn
2) Reverse 5) Spraying
3) Left turn 6) Stop
2.Microcontroller:-It is a small computer on a single circuit containing a
processor core, memory and programmable peripherals.
Two microcontrollers are used in the system ,first 89c2051 is used as
transmitter, second 89c51 is used as receiver.
3.Power supply(Battery):-This is an important Part why because all the
components require power supply to be operating. Micro controller requires +5v,
relay and DC motors require +12v.

9. 4.DC MOTORS:-DC motor used in the robot is the basic component of the
system, It is operated by using H-bridge IC, which will be controlled by the
microcontroller.
5.Air compressor:-It is a device that converts power into kinetic energy by
compressing and pressurizing air , which on command , can be released in quick
bursts .
It is used in robot for spraying liquids and pesticides.

10. 6.Air tank & liquid fill tank:-It is a pneumatic pressure vessel for storing
compressed air and for storing the pesticides.
7.H-BRIDGE circuit:-An H bridge is an electronic circuit that enables a
voltage to be applied across a load in either direction.
For the movement the Agrobot, microcontroller is designed by using DC
motors, which will be driven by the H-bridge IC, depending on the
instructions of the micro-controller.

11. 8.Nozzle and Sprayer: This part is used for spaying the liquid pesticides from the
tank as the pressure of compressor. We can change spraying intensity by changing
the pressure of compressor. Spraying pipe is connected with nozzle

12. 9. Wheels and carrier: Wheels are used for driving the carrier which contains
all the components of robot.

Working principal of Agrobot:
To spray the liquids of
pesticide on the crops to protect
them against insects while
travelling in the field with help of
sprayer.
 The Robot contains
components Key board,
microcontroller, battery etc. will
work as shown in block diagram.

15. This signal is captured by robot which works as receiver by
microcontroller.
As robot senses signal with help of h bridge circuit D.C motor will
actuate and motors get revolution.
Wheels which are connected through D.C motors also revolves.
Wheels are rotated as given order reverse, forward, left, right.
When voltage is given to circuit as right wheel ,motor of right side
actuates and wheel takes right turn.
For left turn repeat this procedure simultaneously.
As the carrier of robot travels in the field , the robot spray the liquid
pesticides on the crops with help of sprayer at particular distance.

16. Decision on the Project title
On the earth 42% of population is dependent on an occupation of agriculture
,they have to do a lot of work and more load on them.
Among these works spraying pesticides is harmful and difficult because
chemicals used in these pesticide liquids are dangerous .
It may causes problems of breathing and some physical problems.
So ,they have to suffer more problems during farming.
So, an agriculture robot which helps the farmers to pesticide the liquids and
minimize their workload ,we named that robot for spraying pesticides “PEST
CONTROLLING IN AGRICULTURE BY ROBOT”.

19. Problem Definition
During work farmers have to suffer many problems ,At the time of spraying
pesticide liquids they have to face some breathing dieses.
Chemicals used in the pesticide liquids are harmful and dangerous for
mankind, if they don’t pay attention during spraying they have to suffer
problems.
Robots have to done work also an unequal surface, so it is hard to do work
in the fields.
Sensing distance, these robots are works in particular distance sets by user.
Capital cost of the robot.

20. Problem Solution Proposed and Expected
Result Improvement
Workload on farmers minimized by using these type of agrobots, and
also reduce the chance of danger of breathing problems.
By making track for robot it will be worked properly in slippery and
unequal surface.
By using chain instead of wheels in the field ,robot can work more
effectively on unequal surface of the field.
By using High sensitivity sensor we can work far distance on the field in
any atmosphere.
Farmers don’t have to go in the field because robots do their work
properly and effectively.
Time consumed by robots for spraying liquids is less than mankind, and
they can improve the working efficiency.

21. Conclusion
The robot for agricultural purpose an Agrobot is a concept for the near the
performance and cost of the product once optimized, will prove to be work through
in the agricultural spraying operations.
Workload on the farmers is decreased and health problems also.
 Successful in constructing robot which can be travelled on rough surfaces also
and weighing enough load of compressor and other equipments.
 Successful in developing a robot whose construction is enough to withstand the
challenges of the field.
 Sure about that once this concept will be presented in a manner suitable to Indian
market, it will definitely help in bringing down the 15% molality rate found in the
Indian formers associated with the agricultural spraying operation

22. Future scope
Future scope of this type of robots are very bright because it is very
usefull in agriculture and reduce the workload.
It reduce the time consumed in spraying the pesticide liquid and
works very effectively.
It will help the farmers to do work in any season and conditions.
It will reduce the danger for the farmers from different breathing
and physical problems.

23. Work Plan
• Agriculture robot for pest controlling project Is divided in two parts.
• In this semester travelling carrier which runs with help of D.C motor is shown
in video.
• Spraying function can’t be shown because of unavailability Of air compressor.
• In next semester all the parts of robots will be assembled like sprayer, nozzle,
air compressor.
• After assembling of these parts with robot carrier it can spray liquids at
particular pressure and distance, where it is required.
• Calculation of pressure of compressor, speed , design, testing of parts will be
considered also in next semester.
