Agricultural solid wastes can be managed through various strategies including biogas production, bio-fertilizer production, leather and meat industries, and ethanol production. Biogas is produced from animal dung through anaerobic digestion and can be used as fuel or for generating electricity. Agro-wastes are also used to produce bio-fertilizers by composting with microorganisms. The leather and meat industries utilize old animal bodies. Sugarcane leaves, tops, and bagasse can produce ethanol, electricity through co-generation, and pulp and paper. Improper management of agro-wastes can cause problems like global warming and disease.
