Adaptations
By Chloe
What is an Adaptation?
• An adaptation, is a feature which helps an organism survive in
  it environment.
• There are 3 main types of adaptations:
  • Structural – focusing on an organisms size, shape and structure.
  • Behavioural – the way in which an organism acts
  • Functional – the chemical process of an organism
Green Tree Frog
Type of Adaption: Structural
Adaptation: Long, Powerful Legs
How the adaptation helps it to survive:
The long powerful legs of the Green Tree frog, help the frog
to jump long/high distances, and pounce of prey fast.
The Golden Grove Wattle
Type of Adaption: Structural
Adaptation: The seeds of the wattle have a coating which is
hard and shiny. This coating must be degraded before the
seed will start to grow.
How the adaptation helps it to survive:
This adaptation helps the Golden Grove Wattle to survive,
by allowing the seed to not grow, until conditions for
growing improve.
