What is achievement test?
•It is a measure of student acquisition of skills or
knowledge following.
•Not a measure of potential to learn, or ability to
learn.
•Not a measure of whether the student is performing
appropriately.
The type of ability testthat describes what a
person has learned to do;
 Any test that measures the accomplishments of
an individual after a period of training or learning;

 Educational diagnostic testing is
a form of assessment that
occurs before instructor begins.
 The purpose of administering
tests is to try to determine what
students already know about the
concept and skills to be covered
by instruction.
