The Project ASAP accomplishment report summarizes the progress and results of a program implemented at Kasiglahan Village Elementary School. The objectives of Project ASAP were to identify and help students lagging or at risk of dropping out due to the pandemic, and to improve student performance by 1-2% per quarter. Through personalized support and intervention strategies, the school maintained zero students with incomplete grades or who dropped out. Student average grades increased from 83.88% in the first quarter to 87.33% in the fourth quarter, meeting the objective of improved performance. The data demonstrates that early intervention can prevent students from potential academic issues and dropping out. Project ASAP has shown commendable impact at the school.

Assessing Pupils’ Progress (APP) is the new national approach to assessment that equips teachers to make judgments on pupils’ progress, fine-tune their understanding of learners’ needs, and tailors their planning and teaching accordingly. QCA have recently piloted this approach in ICT to compliment those already developed for Science, Mathematics and English. The pilot has been greeted enthusiastically by the teachers involved.
This session will introduce the methodology and some of the materials developed in addition to hearing from one of the pilot schools about their experience.

This study assessed the validity of the Dutch version of the Student-Teacher Relationship Scale (STRS) in Greece. The STRS measures relationships through closeness, conflict, and dependency subscales. 275 Greek teachers rated their relationships with 1126 students using the 34-item Dutch STRS. Exploratory factor analysis confirmed the original three-factor structure. Greek teachers reported high closeness, low conflict, and moderate dependency in relationships. While further analysis is needed, this study provides initial evidence that the STRS can validly assess teacher-student relationships cross-culturally in Greece.

This document summarizes an instructional learning cycle used to address the academic and behavioral needs of 12 junior students targeted by the Superintendent's Dropout Challenge. Data from the 2013-2014 school year showed that none of the students were proficient in their grades or behavior. An instructional plan involving weekly mentoring and the Carrera program was implemented. Post-assessment data found some improvement in behavior but limited growth in grades, with only 42% meeting the goal of decreasing D's and E's by 5%. The team concluded that additional academic support is needed and plans to compare their intervention plan to others to identify best practices.
Terminal Competency Assessment of Core Nursing Knowledge in a State University
Assessment of educational outcomes upon completion of the nursing program is one way to inform academic institutions of the effectiveness of their teaching-learning practices. A descriptive correlational study design was carried out among 141 graduating nursing students of West Visayas State University to assess their terminal cognitive competency on core nursing knowledge framed under the National Nursing Competency Standards’ 11 Key Areas of Responsibility. All regular graduating students in the year 2015 with complete records of secondary data needed for the study were included. A validated and reliability tested questionnaire was used to assess the terminal core nursing knowledge competencies of the students. Results revealed that students, prior to graduation, had good core nursing knowledge. Significant differences were found in the terminal core nursing knowledge of students when grouped according to Nursing Aptitude Test (NAT) and academic performance in professional nursing courses, with students who had excellent and superior NAT performance and those with very good and outstanding academic performance in professional nursing courses having significantly higher terminal core nursing knowledge. NAT and academic performance had significant, positive correlation to core nursing knowledge. Further, NAT and academic performance accounted for 46% of variance explained in the core nursing knowledge of nursing students. Higher Education Institutions, therefore, must commit themselves in providing quality nursing education by ensuring proper, responsive and relevant implementation of the nursing curriculum. This in turn may translate to attainment of intended educational outcomes and learners knowledgeable of the basic foundation of nursing practice.

these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land

The graph shows the comparative results on the performance of Kasiglahan Village Elementary School with regards to the average grades of the learners as well as the number of pupils with incomplete grades and number of dropouts. As we notice KVES maintained zero (0) incomplete grades and zero (0) dropout. On the other venue, KVES elevated the overall performance of learners in the average grade category from 83.88 to 84. 35, about 0.47% gained from first to second quarter while 84.35 to 85.66 or about 1.31% gained for second to third quarter and 85.66 to 87.33 or 1.6% gain in the fourth quarter. The data shown above are evidence that learners lagging and at risk dropping out of school when exposed to early intervention strategies and remediation program with teachers assisting them in conquering their difficulties may improve and shall be prevented from dropping out of school. This is parallel with the idea posited by Alexander, K., Entwisle, D. and Horsey, C. 1997 that Early intervention can curb dropouts by fostering positive academic and personal development before learners settle into negative academic routines. The data also shown the improvement of pupil’s academic performance for about 1-2 % gain per quarter which are 0.47% for first to second quarter; 1.31 % for third to fourth quarter and 1.6 % for third to fourth quarter respectively.
