“Hitler Became Chancellor in January 1933 Because He Was...
Hitler became chancellor in January 1933 because he was the leader of the most popular party in
Germany How far do you agree with this opinion.
Hitler did not become chancellor in January 1933 because he was the leader of the most popular party
in Germany, it was however to do with the support of the elite that made him Chancellor. There were
other factors also such as the decline of the Weimar Republic and the economy but it was mainly to do
with the conservatives.
One factor that shows that the support of the elite was the reason that Hitler had become Chancellor
was the event of the Bamberg conference. It could be argued that this conference had changed the
ideology of the NSDAP and had made it more conservative. In the Bamberg ... Show more content on

The political violence in the run up to the election was the perfect excuse for the removal of the SPD
dominated Prussian government. President Hindenburg ordered the army to seize control; this resulted
in the new regime in Prussia to be an authoritarian one. This demonstrates how the destruction of thee
Weimar republic could have been the reason why Hitler had become the chancellor. However it did
not directly make Hitler the chancellor, while the support of the conservatives did. Although it does
show that Hitler did not become the chancellor due to the fact that Hitler did not become the
chancellor due to the fact that he was the leader of the most popular party.
The fear of a communist takeover could also show how it was due to the support of the conservatives
is the reason Hitler had become the chancellor. The KPD had seen its vote increase from 3.2million in
1928 to 5.9 million in November 1933. It was the Nazi s determination to reduce the communist
militia that caused conservatives to back Hitler. There were a number of influential industrialists and
bankers including Hjalmar Schacht, IG Farben and Gustav Krupp, who put pressure on Hindenburg to
appoint Hitler as chancellor. The reason behind why they had done this because they feared loosing
their wealth and power in the event of a communist takeover. This shows how the support of the
conservatives had led to Hitler to being chancellor, as it was them that pressurised Hindenburg

Benefits Of Lowering The Drinking Age To 21
Chrissy Hartung

21 January 2016
Lowering the Drinking Age to 21 From the suburbs, to school campuses, to city streets, adolescents
will find a way to get around the 21 year old limit. Alcohol has become a large part of teenager s lives
in America, despite the legal drinking limit of 21 years of age. Teenagers have resorted to sneaking
alcohol around, causing unsafe drinking habits to take place, and the Lowering the legal drinking age
to 18 would allow individuals to experience life as an adult, decrease unsafe drinking activity, and
diminish the amount of times the law is broken. Experiencing life as an adult opens many doors; you
are given the right to do many things that you aren t able to do as a child. ... Show more content on

The legal drinking age of 21 years has not stopped people from participating in underage drinking. It
hasn t reduced or eliminated drinking. It has simply driven it underground, behind closed doors, into
the most risky and least manageable of settings (The Debate On). Whether the law is enforced or not,
adolescents will disobey it and do what they want to do. They are not concerned about the
repercussions or the consequences that they could encounter. The legal drinking age of 21 years has
only created dangerous and reckless behavior to take place. McCardell says the law has created a
dangerous culture of irresponsible and reckless behavior, unsupervised binge and extreme drinking,
like something called Six in Ten downing six cups of beer in ten seconds, kids trying to perfect the art
of getting drunk as fast as possible by playing drinking games (The Debate On). The legal drinking
age of 21 years has only caused more issues; adolescents are beginning to rebel and act in a
dangerous, carefree manner. The legal drinking age of 21 years has greatly affected the amount of
times that the law has been

Reforming the UN Security Council
Reforming the UN Security Council Japan firmly believes we need to take action to reform the
Security Council before it loses its legitimacy and efficiency as an essential tool for the maintenance
of peace and security. Japan is ready to discuss, with a flexible and realistic viewpoint, different
options, which will lead the way for the expansion in both permanent and non permanent categories.
Japan is working proactively to increase both the permanent and non permanent membership of the
council. Japan is the second largest contributor to the UN, behind the United States and is the world s
largest donor of official development assistance. Japan s commitment to the United Nations, supported
by its national strength should allow the nation to assume greater global responsibility through the
efforts of the Security Council. The discussion of the UN Security Council Reform has been on
discussion for almost 20 years. The efficiency and effectiveness of the council are put to question. It is
important to act now while the momentum for the push for reform is rising. The Member States need
to realize Security Council Reform. The G4 nations support each others bid for seats of the Security
Council and Japan has the support of the United States, Britain, France and Russia. The current P5

Witchcraft And Wicca Similarities
The world is full of many different beliefs, religions, and practices. With so many different beliefs,
many very closely related, people tend to confuse the characteristics of some of these beliefs. In a
world where political correctness is so important, learning the differences and similarities between
similar belief systems can be very useful. One source of confusion is the difference between
Paganism, Wicca, and Witchcraft. These terms are primarily mixed up by Christians, who consider the
use of magic as a sin, as declared so in Scripture. While similar, Paganism, Wicca and Witchcraft have
different meanings and different levels of broadness.
Paganism is a religion considered not one of the main world religions. It is often misunderstood ...

It is the act of performing spells and rituals which defines Witchcraft. While people who are apart of
Wicca practice witchcraft, that does not necessarily mean that those who participate in it are Wiccans.
Similarly to Wicca, witchcraft is often associated to Satanism. This misconception has even led to
trials and witch hunts . This persecution is primarily seen in predominantly Christian towns and
villages. One notable example of these types of trials and witch hunts is the Salem Witch Trials, in the
Puritan town of Salem, Massachusetts. During this time in history, over twenty six people were
convicted of witchcraft and summarily hanged. Much of the confusion on what witchcraft is and is not

Analysis Of Lucozade And Visiting Hour
Recently I studied two poems with the same theme, Lucozade By Jackie Kay and Visiting Hour By
Norman McCaig. Both poets talk about death and by using a word set they create a mental image of
what is happening and this reminds me of times were I had to visit loved ones and how emotional it
was. The poem Lucozade was written by Jackie Kay, it is about a girl visiting her mother in a hospital
before she passes away. The poem talks about death but does so in a humorous way, making jokes and
poking fun at a traditional gifts given at hospitals did you think you could cheer me up with a woman
s own? An item given to hospital patients. The mother believes they re making a big deal out this,
because she does not want to come to the realisation that he is dying. The daughter is scared her
mother is going to die. She clears the cupboard and waves her mother goodbye then walks home
singing and old song. The poem Visiting Hour was written by Norman McCaig, it is about a man
visiting his mother in hospital. This poem is a lot darker than the other and is not humorous, It uses a
strong death related word set to set a scene in the readers head. The man is fearful of what is
happening to his mother, He walks to her white cave of forgetfulness . He gets closer to her but never
passing the distance of pain. Distance shrinks until there is none left but the distance that neither she
nor I can cross, telling us in the end, we are all alone. The mother weak and exhausted smiles. On the
first line of Lucozade Jackie Kay tells us that the mother is not well and may be on medication by
saying high bed and sad Chrysanthemums . By using the word high bed we can presume the mother is
dying or on medication to stay alive, since high beds are found in hospitals and chrysanthemums are a
symbol of death and are given at funerals additionally the words die and sad are repeated throughout
the first stanza. We hear from the daughter that she is scared, Scared her mother will die, this shows
she cares for her. In the second stanza, the mother says she does not want Lucozade to be brought to
her. Lucozade is commonly brought to hospitals so her not wanting it tells us she doesn t not want to
face reality and is scared

The Importance Of Religious Beliefs In The Holy Bible
As young children, we first become aware of our religious beliefs from our family members. On early
Sunday morning we attend Sunday School with our family followed by a late morning church service.
There are also those that attend the Sunday evening service if provided as well as the regularly
scheduled church meetings, bible study and choir practice that occurs during the middle of the week.
Many parents send their children to parochial schools in order to insure that their children receive a
better education along with a continued teaching and reinforcement of their religious beliefs. Some
families continue their worship of their religion at home by praying before meals along with a family
weeknight family bible study. While attending Sunday School, church services, bible study, choir
practice, church meetings, and school our religious leaders pass on to us the religious beliefs, morals
and values from what they learned as children, adults or in the case of our ministers, pastors, priests
and rabbis from their seminary schools that they attended in order to become ordained representatives
and leaders of the church we chose to attend. All of what our ministers, pastors, priests and rabbis
learned concerning their specific religion came from the translations and interpretations of verbal
history, ancient clay tablets and papyrus scrolls that ultimately became the many books of the Holy
Bible. The Old Testament, the oldest part of the Holy Bible, is based on the

The New Liberal Arts
In today s generation college students struggle to attend higher education. Tuition has been higher than
ever before to attend college. This is true, college students battle to go to college. A book that I read
They Say, I say mentions, many families are indeed struggling, in depths of recession, to pay for their
children s college eduction. (Sanford, 191). Paying for college funds affect families as well as the
student. The title provides the basic to justifying the claim. The title can grave the readers attention in
the first paragraph or have them hurtle away. The title of Sanford, The New Liberal Arts catches the
readers attention. The word New made the reader want to know what was the new liberal arts. So the
reader will dig into the first page to find out what the new liberal arts is. The claim is what the writer
is trying to say to the reader also know as the main idea of the reading. Sanford s claim is that liberal
arts is a better investment based on his experience although is cost the most. Sanford say, a liberal arts
degree is a luxury that most families no longer afford. That being said Sanford claim is strong because
he gives examples to support his claim throughout the chapter. An arguable opposition was that
students are taking shorts cuts to well paying job. Although this may be a good idea they are job that
may have a deed end. Sanford disagrees with taking short cuts because they do not teach critical

Through the IR spectrum we can identify it as an isoborneol because it s basically a hydrocarbon with
a carbonyl. The C H stretching around 3000 wavenumbers, there isn t much else you can identify.
Camphor is fairly simple, so there is no anything other than the carbonyl and some C H stretching.
The spectrum of isoborneol should show an OH peak, though because it s a solid sample, the peak
won t be as broad as those seen for OH peaks in liquid samples. My guess is that the peak at ~3600
wavenumbers is the OH group. However, in my result, the wave doesn t seem to be clearly showed. It
probably means that my isoborneol sample has retained some amount of the precursor, either because
the reaction didn t go to completion or because my purification procedure was inadequate.
Borneol and isoborneol contain an asymmetric carbon atom (denoted by an asterisk), and therefore
each of them exists in two optically active forms and one inactive racemic form ( , +, and ±). Borneol
has an endo configuration; in other hand, its isomer, isoborneol, has an exo

Kenyan Real Estate Bubble

The increasing real estate growth has mainly been driven by a strong economy, urbanization and
growing middle class. The stabilizing legal environment, considerable credit expansion and increased
spending on infrastructure by government have also contributed to the growth. Nevertheless, the
market faced difficulties in 2011 due to high cost of land, high inflation, a weak shilling, ,and cases of
fraud which led to loss of purchased land to various individuals. The high inflation last year caused
precipitous import prices. Consequently, the shilling weakened, falling to a historic low of 107 to the
dollar in October. Therefore, the cost of construction materials rose by about 40% and forced property
developers to spend more on projects. This hurt the property market and has prompted commercial
banks to cut lending, fearing a slowdown in the uptake of properties especially in the up market
segment. Below are a few charts and graphs on prices for property for sale and average rent, courtesy

What Does Bdsm Mean In Fifty Shades Of Grey
BDSM That You Won t Learn In Fifty Shades Of Grey
M Learn some BDSM facts that you will not learn in the movie Fifty Shades of Grey.
BDSM Does Not Always Involve Sex BDSM does not always involve sex because it is mostly a
mental stimulation carried out with physical actions that produces pleasure pain. The skin organ has
arousal receptors sensitive to the touch delivering a full body intense experience with spanking,
massaging, and skin tight clothes. The mental stimulation is what produces the orgasmic feelings, not
the physical sex act.

Moreover, it is not a dangerous thing to perform BDSM, but more of a kink that gives off the illusion
of being held captive with no control. Furthermore, BDSM is not dangerous or abusive at all and is in
fact comfortable and fun!
Mentally Healthy People Practice BDSM Performing BDSM does not mean that you are weird,
mentally unstable, or the odd ball out of the group, in fact, studies show that it is good for you! A 2013
study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine concluded that most BDSM practitioners are mentally sharp,
live with a purpose, and have a higher well being than those who do not practice BDSM.
BDSM Require Research Practice Most people think they can just get into BDSM scene without doing
any research or practice what they have seen on television. This is a mistake. but Doing BDSM the
right way require much research and practice, unless you have a professional escort or a friend who
you trust who can ease into the role and properly introducing you into the world of BDSM. People
who do not practice or do research may end up hurting themselves or their partners, so it is imperative
to read and learn about the safety precautions ahead of time. Make sure to get information from a
variety of sources including reading books and talking to friends for the necessary knowledge to really

Comparison Of Genesis And The Epic Of Gilgamesh
This is where the stories start to branch away from each other. In Gilgamesh the storm lasts six days
and six nights while in The Bible it last for forty days and forty nights. Another difference is that while
Utnapishtim releases a dove, swallow and raven, Noah releases a dove and a raven. In Genesis
Chapter eight, verses ten through twelve it says, He waited seven more days and again sent out the
dove from the ark. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly
plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth. He waited seven more
days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him. (The Holy Bible: New

And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. (The Holy Bible: New International
Version Containing the Old Testament and the New Testament, Gen. 8:21) This was God s promise to

Obviously, there are many similarities in both stories that it wouldn t be unreasonable to believe that at
some point in time there was once a giant flood that destroyed the world and that someone was chosen

There are countless flood myths in the worlds. They come from India, Indonesia, Polynesia, Australia,

Steve Jobs Led A Revolution
Steve Jobs led a revolution not only in technology, but in the history of the world, and the
determination of the future as well. When Jobs was in his garage with Steve Wozniak about to create
the first Apple computer, they had no idea that they would later own one of the biggest and wealthiest
companies in the world, and also revolutionize technology and set a precedent for future technology
innovators such as themselves. The Apple I, which was Apple s first product, was sold as an
assembled circuit board and lacked the basic features that all Apple products have today such as a
keyboard, monitor, and case. The Apple I was first introduced to the public at The Homebrew
Computer Club. Half of all U.S. households own at least one Apple product, according to CNBC s All
America Economic survey. Jobs later became known as a master of innovation because of his strong
innovations in technology. Without him, the world would be much farther behind than it currently is.
When the Apple I entered the public market in July of 1976, a new chapter of the world began. The
legacy that Jobs left will remain growing and never end. The revolution and empire that Jobs created
was incredible. Jobs was kicked from Apple in the early years do to infighting of the company. Steve
them founded team Macintosh, while Wozniak was the leader of team Lisa, both in a head to head race
of who will create the first computer. While team Lisa made it to the finish line first, sales of the

Part A (The report) Part B (The memorandum) Student Name Western Governors University Part A
(The report) Determining what type of business venture to either start or invest in can be challenging.
Over the next several pages we will evaluate the various types of business organizations and at the end
of this report; you should have an initial or better understanding of the different types of business
forms. Sole Proprietorship: The word proprietorship can sound intimidating. It is important to
remember that most things are simplified with knowledge. If your business is a sole proprietorship
then you as an individual are the owner and operator of that business. This means the sole proprietor
handles everything from setting up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Control: A sole proprietor has total control of the company and they make all the good decisions and
they must deal with decisions that did not turn out the way they intend. The other notable factor in
being a sole proprietor of a business is what would happen to the business if the owner became ill or
died; typically the business would stop operations based on the structure and debts would need to be
resolved as well as customer commitments would need resolving based on the type of business. Profit
Retention: In addition to reaping the profits from the business, the sole individual is also responsible
for all debts incurred and for paying expenditures of the business. Location: In addition to federal laws
that govern business a sole proprietorship is governed by the state laws in which it operates. If the
proprietor opens another business location in a different state. The new state laws will govern the
other business location therefore requiring the proprietor to understand and be compliant with more
than one state laws based on the location of the business. (Beatty Samuelson, 2007, pp. 755 756)
General Partnership: Occurs when two or more individuals get together to operate a business with the
intention of making profit. Each individual is a general partner of the business and all profits and
losses are shared between the partners. General partnership agreements can be a written or verbal
agreement.

In Greek Religion , Walter Burkert informs his readers mostly about the Greeks religious beliefs. In
section one, Burkert begins to discuss the history of the Early Bronze Age, such as the vocabulary of
Indo European and the religion of the Minoan Mycenaeans. He mentions the different cult places
which include: caves, temples, graves, as well as peak, tree, and house sanctuaries. For example, a cult
includes the Minoan Tree and Pillar Cult; the pillars and trees were sacred, however, they were not
worshipped. He also goes on to explain about Minoan Deities, Mycenaean Gods and Linear B, and the
Dark Age ; he talks about the evidence that exists of Linear A and Linear B, such as the tablets
recovered from Crete and Knossos. In section two, Burkert describes the different kinds of rituals and
symbols; the bull was a type of symbol from the Hellenistic tradition, and there were festivals that
celebrated the bull itself. Different kinds of rituals Burkert explains include: animal sacrifice, blood
and fire rituals, gift offering and libation, votive offerings, prayer, dancing, hymns, masks, festivals,
and purification. The Anthesteria Festival is described in depth, such as that it occurred in the
springtime for three days; additionally, the reason for the festival is described. Burkert mentions
different types of sanctuaries like the altar and the temple. Also, Greek Religion describes certain

IDEA Individuals With Disabilities Education Act Essay
In 1991 the Public Law 94 142, the Education for All Handicapped Children Act was replaced by the
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. This law was passed to provide free and appropriate
public education to every child with a disability. It requires that each child with a disability have
access to the program best suited to that child s special needs which is as close as possible to a normal
child s educational program (Martin, 1978). The Individualized education program (IEP) was
developed to help provide a written record of students needs and procedures for each child that
receives special education services. The IEP will list all the services to be provided, the student s
performance level, academic performance, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Until that time, many states had laws that excluded children with certain types of disabilities from
attending public school. These included children who were blind, deaf and children labeled
emotionally disturbed or mentally retarded. Many of these children lived at state institutions where
they received limited or no educational services. Having a disability does not automatically qualify a
student for special education services under the IDEA. The disability must result in the student
needing additional or different services to participate in school. For example, a child who is diagnosed
autistic. Children with disabilities who qualify for special education are also automatically protected
by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and under the Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA). Research shows that the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1997
shifted the focus of IDEA to improve teaching and learning by emphasizing the individual educational
plan as a primary tool for educational planning. This increased the role of parents in educational
decision making. Part B of this law provided resources and services for children ages 3 through 5 with
developmental delays or those with an identified disability. Part C of IDEA authorizes financial
assistance to support the needs of infants and toddlers with disabilities and the needs of their families.
Agencies are to provide comprehensive early intervention services that focus on

Tertiary Preparation
I am applying to QUT to study the Bachelor of Design Architectural Studies because I have a passion
for design. I haven t known I wanted to go down this career path long, possibly only six months. I
have always had a passion for the same area of work although I haven t been able to pinpoint the
career I really want until recently. Once completing this degree I would like to complete my masters in
architecture then create my own business designing sustainable, environmentally friendly and carbon

Interpersonal and Communication Skills
As mentioned previously I have been running my own handyman business while completing my
apprenticeship. It was by no means at all difficult work although it taught me more about interacting
with different types of people from various walks of life. After working this business I found that I had
much improved professional people skills.
Having to deal with clients and the real estate agent on a regular basis it was necessary for me to be
clear and concise with all forms of communication between the two otherwise it was far too easy for
sticky situations to arise.
While working for Ambrose Building as a carpenter I was working as part of a team for seventy
percent of the time. I often paired up with another lower ranked apprentice. Teaching and working
with an apprentice is a great test. I needed to be able to express my thoughts logically and within
reason without confusing them as most of the work and information is completely new to them.
I believe that my oral communication skills are proven to be very adequate as I would not of excelled
in any of the jobs I have had up until now as they all have required enormous amounts of
communication in a wide variety of situations. This is further reassured by both of my

Risk Quantification
7. How did NASA decide what is or is not an acceptable risk?
NASA identified and evaluated hazards through a formalized hazard reduction process as described in
the NASA Handbook, NHB5300.4. The process required that hazards be determined for probability
and credibility. In order to ensure that the standards within NHB5300.4 were adhered to, a Senior
Safety Review Board was established for overseeing the risk assessment process. The process allowed
for a certain amount of risk to be allowed as long as it was acceptable. To determine whether or not a
hazard was an acceptable risk, NASA used a Safety Classification System, which was a qualitative
system rather than a quantitative system. This was due to the high ... Show more content on

Instead, they maintained their current trajectory of making decisions qualitatively. NASA should have
improved their risk management processes as more data was gathered. Databases could have been
compiled with the information from previous flights that could have provided probabilistic risk
assessment and trends for future flights. If NASA and Thiokol had used quantitative data when
assessing the erosion and blow by incidents, they likely would have come to a different conclusion
when they decided to launch the Challenger shuttle.
10. Which risks should be elevated? To whom should they be elevated? Who should have the final say
in the response mechanism for a risk?
All risks should be elevated to whatever level of responsibility are related to the task or component the
risk is assigned to. For example, lower level risks should be assigned to lower level management and
the critical risks, as described in exhibit V, should be the responsibility of the program manager and
the NASA administrator. It s also important to note that for the risks involved in space travel, the
astronauts on the flight should also be aware of the assumed risks that are taking place during the
development of the space shuttle. One of the issues that NASA faced during the space shuttle
development is that risks weren t assigned to a specific level of authority. No one person had the

Importance Of Sexuality In Peter Pan
Sexuality is the quality or state of being sexual. Throughout history, sexuality has been known as a
taboo and something that wasn t talked about openly. In the modern society sexuality has become
widely accepted and a child s action to learn about sexuality is just another step of discovering who
they are. Children start puberty around the ages of eight to thirteen, around this time in a child s life
they start to feel things for members of the opposite sex that they have never felt before. Sexuality has
always been looked at as a grown up idea and one never really considers the effect that sexuality has
forcing one to grow up. Due to sexuality s grown up aspect, when thinking about Peter Pan written by
J.M Barrie, sexuality is a looked over characteristic of the well know fairy tale.
Firstly, the reader is introduced to how sexuality helps to tell the fairy tale Peter Pan, by bringing out
the jealousy of the mermaids in Never Land. When Wendy first arrives in Never Land she is so
amazed by the different types of creatures there. Wendy finds herself at the Mermaid Lagoon with
Peter. The Mermaids get so excited to see Peter quickly showing the reader their interest in him when
one mermaid says, Why were you gone so long? Didn t you miss me? (Peter Pan. J.M Barrie.8). When
the Mermaids realize that Peter is not alone they quickly start asking Peter who Wendy is and why he
brought her there. In this chapter the reader is introduced to one of the many examples of the Electra
complex developed by Freud Oedepus. Freud states that there is a little part of every girl that wishes
harm on other girls that show interest in the boy the girl in attracted to. This
Farias 2 is shown during this chapter as the mermaid attempt to drag Wendy into the Lagoon by her
dress. Wendy threatens to get back to at the mermaids by picking up a sea shell and saying, if you dare
take one more step near me.. , ( Barrie.8). Before Wendy gets a chance to defend herself Peter quickly
intervenes telling Wendy that the mermaids were just joking around. Proven by one of the mermaids
saying, Yeah we were just trying to drown her , (Barrie.8 ). Barrie introduces sexuality in may
different ways throughout Peter Pan, using the Electra

Social, Political, And Economical Cause Of The Mexican...
Social, Political, and Economical Causes of the Mexican Revolution There were an abundance of
social, political, and economical factors that led to the Mexican Revolution. Socially, there was a great
displacement in the treatment between the elite and rich classes and the poor classes. Politically, what
once started out as a Republic, after they had won their independence, had transitioned into a
tyrannical dictatorship. Economically, Mexico was over dependent on loans from foreign nations such
as France, Spain, England, and The United State of America.
AFTERMATH OF WAR OF INDEPENDENCE Mexico had gained its independence from Spain in
the year of 1821, although a substantial amount of damage had been inflicted as Mexico was in
disorder and decay. The economy was in shambles, as Mexico owed money to The United States of
America, France, and England. Also, the social classes experienced a drop off in upper class citizens
as every Spaniard was forced out of Mexico after the war for independence. Economically, many
industries such as mining, textile, and others became useless, as there was lack of production, because
of the absence of the Spaniards. The effects of war were very visible throughout all of Mexico as
villages were left ruined, roads were neglected, and about 15 30 percent of the male populations were
unemployed.

Describe The Characters Of Abraham Lincoln
1. Describe the character BOOTH in your own words as though we were writing them on the board.
Booth is a black man in his 30 s that is looking to settle down with Grace. Booth is the younger
brother of Lincoln that struggles to make any income. He is a good looking man, or at least he
portrays himself to be, that is somewhat dirty and unkempt due to the fact that he does not have the
money to afford running water. Usually he wears average streets clothes, maybe some rugged jeans
and a worn shirt, but from time to time he will wear a nice suit and shoes that he has stolen from a
department store. For the most part, Booth is an average sized man that has a rugged outer appearance
due to having to handle his own on the streets in the card game business.
2. Describe the character LINCOLN in your own words as though we were writing them on the board.
Lincoln is a black man in his late 30 s that is the older brother of Booth. Lincoln is the brother that
makes the income of the two by acting as Abraham Lincoln. Since he plays Abe he must be a tall kind
of slender man, but no facial hair because he has to wear a fake beard. He also has a dirty unkempt
look about him because he neither has running water, resides in the same place as his brother. He is
somewhat older looking than Booth, and has an aged face and short hair that is slowly thinning over
the years due to having to step in as the father for Booth. Lincoln took on all responsibility for Booth
when both parents had

The Dark Side Of Zombies
Darkness devoured everything in sight. A sea of lifeless moans crashed into the walls that kept me
prisoner. I could feel the hot breath of those creatures seeping through the walls. Paranoia invaded my
brain like the disease that infested those monsters. They were constantly trying to get in. They knew I
was here, I was a meal trapped in a cage and every intake of breath was a ring of the dinner bell.
Suddenly the snaps of rotting wood punched my ear drum. The snarling monsters came tumbling
through the gaps, their twisting bodies shuffling towards me. As their outstretched limbs searched for
my flesh I was ripped away by the ring of a phone. The television had sucked me in once again.
Casting me in the middle of the fictitious apocalypse. The concept of zombies has always been a
welcomed thought to me but why? Why am I and other humans fascinated with the thought of this life
threatening concept? These creatures are known by many names. The undead, zombies, even the
popular tv show The Walking Dead refers to them as walkers. Within history we find that the term
zombie comes from Haitian folklore where corpse reanimation was achieved mostly through magic. In
recent times radiation, mental disease, scientific accidents, etc. attribute to this reanimation.
HISTORY
The idea of zombies can be traced all the way back to 8th century. Voodoo priests used black magic to
possess their victims or so they say. They actually applied a deadly poison from a porcupine fish

Management Styles
Raechellee Noland
American Intercontinental University
Abstract
Organizations and businesses alike all have managers and management styles that they abide by. Some
may be company policy; while others seem to be implemented by the manager s themselves. In this
paper, three different management styles are explained; Scientific, human relations, and systems
management styles. All have been used in different organizations, and some are still used today. In
order for a business to effectively succeed in their goals, a certain management style needs to be used.
Management Styles The key to making any kind of business work depends on management and how
management or managers manage the companies they work for. There ... Show more content on

In the end, one department would be great, while all the others were different and didn t sync well
with the others.
Most Effective and Disadvantages In order for today s criminal justice system to work correctly, the
best management theory would be the systems theory. The criminal justice system needs to have a
structured and organized system in order to make things work, the systems management theory
focuses on the overall goals of the departments as a whole, rather than focusing just on one goal for
each department. Criminal justice is a system; there are several different parts that need to work
together in order for it to work. This would include all components, such as the courts, police, and
corrections. They all need to be on the same page in order to keep the balance between the three and
avoid chaos. A disadvantage of scientific management in criminal justice was that the style focused
more on the production and the needs of the organizations over caring for the needs and wants of the
employees. The disadvantages of the human relations theory, was that is focused too much on the
employees. With too much focus on the employees, the goals of the organization became secondary.
Employees were being rewarded, and soon, employees expected more for less work. (Peak, 2012).
Conclusion
All three different management styles explained above

The Three Political Parties In America
A political party is an organization that sponsors candidates for public office under the organization s
name. A political party platform is a formal set of principal goals which are supported by a political
party or individual candidate. Typically, platforms of candidates within their parties are consistent.
This is partially because of voter s tendency to vote with their party, and partially because of
expectations of candidates. Three political parties in America are Republicans, Democrats, and the
Green party. Tax reform, environmental issues, welfare and poverty, and immigration are all issues
that different parties view from different angles. Tax reform has been an integral part of American
politics since the nation s birth. The Boston Tea Party was an initial display of how strongly the
colonists felt about taxes. Today, citizens feelings towards taxes can be expressed through ... Show

As more scientific evidence has surfaced in recent years in relevance to global warming, many
informed individuals feel as though the environment is an important political issue. The Republican
party stresses that conservation is a conservative value and private property ownership is key to an
environmental agenda. The Democratic party aims to restore wilderness and watersheds for
generations to come. However, they honor hunting fishing heritage via more conservation lands. The
Green party advocates strongly for environmental issues, as made clear by their name. This party
believes that: the Human species has no right to exploit animals, sustainable society lives within
planet s resource limits, and we should safely dispose of all waste we create. A scientist who knows
the effects of global warming and the state of our planet may feel obligated to vote for the Green party
because of their environment issues, solely. Therefore, this shows how a single issue may sway a voter

  • 2. “Hitler Became Chancellor in January 1933 Because He Was... Hitler became chancellor in January 1933 because he was the leader of the most popular party in Germany How far do you agree with this opinion. Hitler did not become chancellor in January 1933 because he was the leader of the most popular party in Germany, it was however to do with the support of the elite that made him Chancellor. There were other factors also such as the decline of the Weimar Republic and the economy but it was mainly to do with the conservatives. One factor that shows that the support of the elite was the reason that Hitler had become Chancellor was the event of the Bamberg conference. It could be argued that this conference had changed the ideology of the NSDAP and had made it more conservative. In the Bamberg ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The political violence in the run up to the election was the perfect excuse for the removal of the SPD dominated Prussian government. President Hindenburg ordered the army to seize control; this resulted in the new regime in Prussia to be an authoritarian one. This demonstrates how the destruction of thee Weimar republic could have been the reason why Hitler had become the chancellor. However it did not directly make Hitler the chancellor, while the support of the conservatives did. Although it does show that Hitler did not become the chancellor due to the fact that Hitler did not become the chancellor due to the fact that he was the leader of the most popular party. The fear of a communist takeover could also show how it was due to the support of the conservatives is the reason Hitler had become the chancellor. The KPD had seen its vote increase from 3.2million in 1928 to 5.9 million in November 1933. It was the Nazi s determination to reduce the communist militia that caused conservatives to back Hitler. There were a number of influential industrialists and bankers including Hjalmar Schacht, IG Farben and Gustav Krupp, who put pressure on Hindenburg to appoint Hitler as chancellor. The reason behind why they had done this because they feared loosing their wealth and power in the event of a communist takeover. This shows how the support of the conservatives had led to Hitler to being chancellor, as it was them that pressurised Hindenburg ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Benefits Of Lowering The Drinking Age To 21 Chrissy Hartung Ms. Bredenkoetter English III 21 January 2016 Lowering the Drinking Age to 21 From the suburbs, to school campuses, to city streets, adolescents will find a way to get around the 21 year old limit. Alcohol has become a large part of teenager s lives in America, despite the legal drinking limit of 21 years of age. Teenagers have resorted to sneaking alcohol around, causing unsafe drinking habits to take place, and the Lowering the legal drinking age to 18 would allow individuals to experience life as an adult, decrease unsafe drinking activity, and diminish the amount of times the law is broken. Experiencing life as an adult opens many doors; you are given the right to do many things that you aren t able to do as a child. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The legal drinking age of 21 years has not stopped people from participating in underage drinking. It hasn t reduced or eliminated drinking. It has simply driven it underground, behind closed doors, into the most risky and least manageable of settings (The Debate On). Whether the law is enforced or not, adolescents will disobey it and do what they want to do. They are not concerned about the repercussions or the consequences that they could encounter. The legal drinking age of 21 years has only created dangerous and reckless behavior to take place. McCardell says the law has created a dangerous culture of irresponsible and reckless behavior, unsupervised binge and extreme drinking, like something called Six in Ten downing six cups of beer in ten seconds, kids trying to perfect the art of getting drunk as fast as possible by playing drinking games (The Debate On). The legal drinking age of 21 years has only caused more issues; adolescents are beginning to rebel and act in a dangerous, carefree manner. • 12. Analysis Of Lucozade And Visiting Hour Recently I studied two poems with the same theme, Lucozade By Jackie Kay and Visiting Hour By Norman McCaig. Both poets talk about death and by using a word set they create a mental image of what is happening and this reminds me of times were I had to visit loved ones and how emotional it was. The poem Lucozade was written by Jackie Kay, it is about a girl visiting her mother in a hospital before she passes away. The poem talks about death but does so in a humorous way, making jokes and poking fun at a traditional gifts given at hospitals did you think you could cheer me up with a woman s own? An item given to hospital patients. The mother believes they re making a big deal out this, because she does not want to come to the realisation that he is dying. The daughter is scared her mother is going to die. She clears the cupboard and waves her mother goodbye then walks home singing and old song. The poem Visiting Hour was written by Norman McCaig, it is about a man visiting his mother in hospital. This poem is a lot darker than the other and is not humorous, It uses a strong death related word set to set a scene in the readers head. The man is fearful of what is happening to his mother, He walks to her white cave of forgetfulness . He gets closer to her but never passing the distance of pain. Distance shrinks until there is none left but the distance that neither she nor I can cross, telling us in the end, we are all alone. The mother weak and exhausted smiles. On the first line of Lucozade Jackie Kay tells us that the mother is not well and may be on medication by saying high bed and sad Chrysanthemums . By using the word high bed we can presume the mother is dying or on medication to stay alive, since high beds are found in hospitals and chrysanthemums are a symbol of death and are given at funerals additionally the words die and sad are repeated throughout the first stanza. We hear from the daughter that she is scared, Scared her mother will die, this shows she cares for her. In the second stanza, the mother says she does not want Lucozade to be brought to her. Lucozade is commonly brought to hospitals so her not wanting it tells us she doesn t not want to face reality and is scared ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. The Importance Of Religious Beliefs In The Holy Bible As young children, we first become aware of our religious beliefs from our family members. On early Sunday morning we attend Sunday School with our family followed by a late morning church service. There are also those that attend the Sunday evening service if provided as well as the regularly scheduled church meetings, bible study and choir practice that occurs during the middle of the week. Many parents send their children to parochial schools in order to insure that their children receive a better education along with a continued teaching and reinforcement of their religious beliefs. Some families continue their worship of their religion at home by praying before meals along with a family weeknight family bible study. While attending Sunday School, church services, bible study, choir practice, church meetings, and school our religious leaders pass on to us the religious beliefs, morals and values from what they learned as children, adults or in the case of our ministers, pastors, priests and rabbis from their seminary schools that they attended in order to become ordained representatives and leaders of the church we chose to attend. All of what our ministers, pastors, priests and rabbis learned concerning their specific religion came from the translations and interpretations of verbal history, ancient clay tablets and papyrus scrolls that ultimately became the many books of the Holy Bible. This is true, college students battle to go to college. A book that I read They Say, I say mentions, many families are indeed struggling, in depths of recession, to pay for their children s college eduction. (Sanford, 191). Paying for college funds affect families as well as the student. The title provides the basic to justifying the claim. The title can grave the readers attention in the first paragraph or have them hurtle away. The title of Sanford, The New Liberal Arts catches the readers attention. The word New made the reader want to know what was the new liberal arts. So the reader will dig into the first page to find out what the new liberal arts is. The claim is what the writer is trying to say to the reader also know as the main idea of the reading. Sanford s claim is that liberal arts is a better investment based on his experience although is cost the most. Sanford say, a liberal arts degree is a luxury that most families no longer afford. That being said Sanford claim is strong because he gives examples to support his claim throughout the chapter. An arguable opposition was that students are taking shorts cuts to well paying job. Although this may be a good idea they are job that may have a deed end. Sanford disagrees with taking short cuts because they do not teach critical thinking and writing ... Through the IR spectrum we can identify it as an isoborneol because it s basically a hydrocarbon with a carbonyl. The C H stretching around 3000 wavenumbers, there isn t much else you can identify. Camphor is fairly simple, so there is no anything other than the carbonyl and some C H stretching. The spectrum of isoborneol should show an OH peak, though because it s a solid sample, the peak won t be as broad as those seen for OH peaks in liquid samples. My guess is that the peak at ~3600 wavenumbers is the OH group. However, in my result, the wave doesn t seem to be clearly showed. It probably means that my isoborneol sample has retained some amount of the precursor, either because the reaction didn t go to completion or because my purification procedure was inadequate. Borneol and isoborneol contain an asymmetric carbon atom (denoted by an asterisk), and therefore each of them exists in two optically active forms and one inactive racemic form ( , +, and ±). Until that time, many states had laws that excluded children with certain types of disabilities from attending public school. These included children who were blind, deaf and children labeled emotionally disturbed or mentally retarded. Many of these children lived at state institutions where they received limited or no educational services. Having a disability does not automatically qualify a student for special education services under the IDEA. The disability must result in the student needing additional or different services to participate in school. For example, a child who is diagnosed autistic. Children with disabilities who qualify for special education are also automatically protected by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This increased the role of parents in educational decision making. Social, Political, and Economical Causes of the Mexican Revolution There were an abundance of social, political, and economical factors that led to the Mexican Revolution. Socially, there was a great displacement in the treatment between the elite and rich classes and the poor classes. Politically, what once started out as a Republic, after they had won their independence, had transitioned into a tyrannical dictatorship. Economically, Mexico was over dependent on loans from foreign nations such as France, Spain, England, and The United State of America. AFTERMATH OF WAR OF INDEPENDENCE Mexico had gained its independence from Spain in the year of 1821, although a substantial amount of damage had been inflicted as Mexico was in disorder and decay. The economy was in shambles, as Mexico owed money to The United States of America, France, and England. Also, the social classes experienced a drop off in upper class citizens as every Spaniard was forced out of Mexico after the war for independence. Economically, many industries such as mining, textile, and others became useless, as there was lack of production, because of the absence of the Spaniards.
