To save cow and OX we have to stop the production of tractor .First to stop the production of tractor and farming by OX should be trained by 3 month short duration course.People will purchase the OX for farming and more farmer will get work.It will reduce the cost of production, fertility of soil will increase.joint family will become stronger.people will get job in village to easily survive. As OX will become again part of economy ,people will forget to sell the OX to market to kill them for eating
lengua natural.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. How did you use media
technologies in the
construction and
research, planning and
evaluation stages?
3. IMAC COMPUTERS
The first media technology I used was
the IMac computer. I used the IMac
suite at my school throughout all stages
of construction, research, planning and
evaluation as it allowed me to gain
access to other software's , such as
Microsoft word, Prezi and Slideshare
and publish onto my blogger.
Also I used the mac computer for the
IMovie software. As I used this software
last year for my AS thriller I was more
experienced and was able to create
an effective music video. For example
the split screen special effect to
represent my pop genre video.
4. I used YouTube at each stage of research and
planning, construction and the evaluation.
RESEARCH
I used YouTube to research music video’s within
the pop genre. I found this beneficial when
creating my music video as I was able to
analyse conventions of the pop genre and also
discover what I liked within the video’s so I could
apply them to my own. I researched artists such
as Miley Cyrus, Icona pop and Lady Gaga as
they are representative figures of the pop genre.
I found researching these artists effective as I
was able to discover some of my favourite ideas
within my own music video. For example the
neon paint inspired by Icona Pop’s ‘Manners’
music video as the bright colours represent the
pop genre but also gives the video a fun party
aspect.
5. PLANNING
when planning my music video my group and I made YouTube video’s
of our own to incorporate another media technology as a platform for
our blog posts. The first YouTube video we created was a podcast
describing target audience of teens and young adults and how we
were to appeal to them within our music video. We also held a focus
group with 6 teenagers and discussed our music video ideas and they
offered there opinions in what would be appealing to them. This form
of planning for our music video was beneficial as we had genuine
feedback from our target audience to how we could make a
relatable video. Our final planning YouTube video was a podcast on
intertextuality where we discussed what it was and how its used within
music videos. This gave us a greater understanding on the term and
how we could apply intertextuality within our own video.
Although the outcome of the media
technology was beneficial it was difficult
to edit the videos. For example in the
focus group the sound is quiet but we
didn’t want to edit the points out as
they may have been useful for our
research. Meaning the sound quality
isn't great.
6. CONSTRUCTION
As a platform for my
music video to be
distributed my group
and I used YouTube. We
used YouTube as it was
an easy way to reach
out to our target
audience and a large
amount of people. Also
YouTube can be shared
onto other media
platforms such as Twitter
and Facebook which is
beneficial to distribute to
a wider audience.
7. EVALUATION
YouTube was used within the
evaluation of our music video as
we used the software to post
the video and embed it within
our blogs. Also YouTube has a
comment section which is
beneficial to my group and I as
we was able to see what the
audience thought of the final
product. The difficulties of using
YouTube as a source of
evaluation is that if the viewer
doesn’t have an account they
cannot comment their
feedback. This resulted in limited
amount of comments, although
all comments received were
positive.
Music video posted onto my blog.
8. SLIDESHARE
RESEARCH
I used Slideshare within my blog to
research theorists and conventions
of music videos and of the pop
genre. I found looking at
Slideshare beneficial when
researching as it gave me a
different perspective of peoples
representations of the
theorists/conventions. I then was
able to apply my research to
myself and use them within my
own work. The difficulty of using
Slideshare for research is its an
unreliable source and may be
incorrect.
9. EVALUATION
I used Slideshare to present my
ideas. The use of Slideshare
enabled me to convey to my
audience how I concluded my
final ideas of the production of
my music video, Digipak and
poster. I found the software
beneficial for my evaluation of
media texts as it allowed me to
create presentations and
display them in a informative
manner.
These are Slideshare’s I have posted on my account ‘charsimcox96’
These examples are my Digipak and Poster analysis, I also used the
software to explore the conventions of music videos.
10. POWERPOINT
EVALUATION
I used PowerPoint as a media
technology within my blog as it
allowed me to display my ideas
and then upload them into other
platforms such as Slideshare. I found
PowerPoint extremely beneficial
when evaluating media texts as I
was able to include text, images
and shapes to convey my ideas
effectively. A difficultly with using
PowerPoint and uploading it onto
Slideshare was I found that on some
presentations the text looked too
small within the platform so had to
be re-edited and uploaded again.
12. EVALUATION
I used Facebook to distribute
my ‘Icona Pop – I Love It’
music video to my target
audience. The target
audience are teens and
young adults as they may find
aspects of the video relatable
and as I’m in that age range
the majority of my friends are
as well. This meant it would be
an effective platform to get
feedback and advertise the
music video to our target
audience. From the feedback
received I concluded that the
music video was a success to
the target audience as well as
an older age range due to the
variety of comments. I think
Facebook was a beneficial
platform to advertise my music
video on as it allowed a wider
audience to give feedback on
what they thought/enjoyed.
13. MICROSOFT WORD
PLANNING
Using the Microsoft Word
software my group and I
produced schedules and
tables of filming times and
the crew list. We created
the tables within Word and
pasted them into our
blogger accounts. I found
this beneficial it it helped
organise my group when
creating the music video
as it helped us in knowing
what needed to be done
and when.
14. IMOVIECONSTRUCTION
The iMovie software was
used to edit our music
video.
I found using iMovie
beneficial when creating
our music video as the
features used within the
software enabled us to
construct an effective
representation of the pop
genre. For example with the
use of the media
technology my group and I
were able to create a split
screen conveying our
actors dancing to the fast
beat of the music.
15. The difficulties when using the
software was that my group
and I did not know how to
create a split screen. At first it
would only allow us to put two
video clips in at maximum.
After experimenting with the
‘picture in picture’ feature we
finally concluded we needed
to create 9 different files and
import each video into the
screen.
16. Also using iMovie to convey
our ideas my group and I
edited YouTube video’s using
the software. We created
podcasts and focus groups to
depict our ideas and
creativity to our audience.
I found creating videos as a
media technology to convey
our ideas was beneficial as it
gave a visual for the
audience to watch and
makes the work more
interesting. The difficulties with
editing the videos was that
the clips took a long time to
import into iMovie, resulting in
a lot of waiting.
17. USB
CONSTRUCTION
I used a USB within the construction of the
music video as It was used to transfer video
clips, images and documents to edit using
the IMac computers. Using a USB allowed my
group and I to produce work at home and
then transfer over the files into the computers
at school. I found this beneficial as I was
limited to only creating content for my blog
within scheduled school times.
Also as our music video was filmed on a
Samsung galaxy S3 we imported the files
onto our USB and transferred into our
school’s Imac suite in order to edit our final
music video.
The disadvantages of using a USB is that it
can be damaged or lost within the time from
home to school. If your work is not backed
up it may be lost.
18. PREZI
RESEARCH EVALUATION
Using the software I looked at other
Prezi’s for research purposes only.
For example I looked at theorists to
help me get a better idea on how
they work and what they are used
for.
The disadvantage of using Prezi for
research is that its not a reliable
source as anyone can create a
presentation and post it.
I incorporated this software within
my blog to convey my idea’s to my
audience. I found this software
beneficial as it is a more interesting
and interactive way to get the
audience engaged with my ideas.
19. BLOGGER
EVALUATION
I used Blogger to convey the progression of my project
from start to finish. I have documented every aspect of my
project from research and planning, construction and
evaluation of my music video and ancillary texts. I found
the software beneficial as I was able to embed a range of
platforms (youtube, slideshare and prezi) within my blog to
make it interactive and interesting for my audience.
20. I used Google throughout all
stages of my final products.
RESEARCH
I used Google to find sources
of information and music
videos that would help in
creating our final ideas. For
example I first heard ‘Icona
Pop –I Love it’ on a TV
commercial and searched
the lyrics I heard to find the
song. Google was an
extremely beneficial software
as enabled me to find the
song we used to create our
final music video.
Results display the music
video and a set of lyrics for
the song.
21. PLANNING
Google was used within the planning stages of creating
the music video as we would use it on the go from our
phones. For example when we was out and about we
would check the weather and train times to other
destinations. Also we used Google to find a suitable UV
light for the neon segments within our music video. With the
use of Google we found an adequate UV light at our local
Maplin store and Pre-ordered it to be picked up.
Google was a beneficial aspect within the planning of my
group and I’s music video as it enabled us to be organised
and not waste time.
22. CONSTRUCTION
Google was used within the
construction of our music
video as it was used to find
our locations. We would
search directions to find our
final destination, this sped up
the process and didn’t waste
time.
EVALUTATION
Google was used within the
evaluation of the final
products as I would search
other software's within the
search bar.
23. MOBILE PHONES
PLANNING
Using mobile phones my group
and I would communicate
between each other to organise
when to film. We also used phones
to contact our cast members
through call and text. The use of
mobile phones was beneficial
within the planning of my music
video as it was a quick and
efficient way to keep in contact
and organise events without
having to meet up. The difficulties
with contacting through mobile
was that some people were busy
and couldn't’t get back to us
straight away.
24. CONSTRUCTION
Within the construction of our music
video my group and I would:
• keep in contact with our
teacher via email.
• Access the internet quickly when
on location.
A Samsung Galaxy S3 was used for
our filming equipment and so was
the most important factor within the
construction stage. The mobile was
used to store the video clips, they
were then transferred into our home
computer hardware. We would
then import the clips onto our USB’s
and transfer them onto the schools
IMac computer’s to edit. The
disadvantage with using a mobile
phone for the filming the music
video was that the quality when
uploaded onto YouTube wasn’t as
clear as when on the small device.
25. EVALUATION
Using our mobile phones my
group and I took images of
things we wanted to display
on our blogs. For example I
took images of the
questionnaire my group
and I conducted in order to
collect results on our target
audience. The use of the
images makes the blog
more interactive for the
audience.
26. TWITTER
PLANNING
When planning the music video
my group and I created a
group twitter account
‘Metaldetectors4’ which is what
our imaginative production
company is called. Using the
tweets we asked Icona Pop if
we could use their song to
create a music video. The
benefit of tweeting them is
conveying that we are not
trying to commit copyright
against them by using their
song. We could use this as
evidence if we were to be
accused of copyright.
27. EVALUATION
To distribute the final music
video my group and I posted it
onto my personal twitter
account. By advertising on
twitter we was able to reach out
to our target audience as it is
popular within the age range.
We also tweeted the video to
Icona pop in the chance that
they would see the final
product.
Overall twitter is beneficial to my
group and I as it allowed us to
distribute to a wider audience.
It’s a public platform that
people can view, rather than
Facebook where you are limited
to only posting to your friends.
28. PRINTER
A printer was used throughout all
stages of research and planning,
construction and evaluation.
For example we used lyric sheets
when filming for the lip syncing
scenes. The use of the visual
enabled us to quickly learn the
lyrics and be able to lip sync
within the music. We also printed
questionnaires within our
research and planning stages to
communicate with our target
audience to make a successful
music video that they would
enjoy.
29. PHOTOSHOP
CONSTRUCTION
I used Photoshop within the
construction of my Digipak. Using the
internet I downloaded a template
for a 6 panelled Digipak to then
import it into Photoshop. Using the
template it created the correct
dimensions for my Digipak, I was
then able to import my images and
text into the panels and create an
effective ancillary text. I found
Photoshop beneficial when creating
my Digipak as I was able use layers
and import text and images into
them. I was then able to rearrange
Them to construct an effective
Digipak. With the use of Photoshop I
was able to create a professional
looking Digipak, without this media it
wouldn’t of been as successful.
30. MICROSOFT
PUBLISHER
CONSTRUCTION
I used publisher to construct my
Digipak poster. Using the media
technology I used images and
textboxes to build the ancillary text
with an A4 Page layout. I found using
publisher was beneficial when
creating the poster as I am familiar
with the software I found it easy to
use the features to create an
effective final piece. With the use of
this media I was able to create a
poster which gives a sense of
professionalism. Without this software
I would have had to cut and stick my
own images, this would have made
my poster look amateur.
Arranged text boxes
over my images to
structure the poster.
