The document describes how various media technologies were used at different stages of creating a music video project. Blogger was used to document the entire process from research and planning through production and evaluation. Twitter, YouTube, Animoto, Photoshop, Google, Adobe Premiere Pro, iPhone, Apple MacBook, Wix, SlideShare, Scribd, and Spotify were also utilized at various stages for tasks like research, planning, filming, editing, creating promotional materials, and choosing a song for the music video.
Here i have evaluated my products in terms of digital technologies used for research, planning, production and evaluation.

4. BLOGGER
Blogger has been one of the most important website used throughout the process of creating a music
video and ancillary products as it was the website that I was able to place all of my ideas as my
understanding developed into one account that tracked my progression from the drafting to the final
submissions. I used blogger to update regularly on all aspects of the coursework, from the research and
planning to pre, post and during production as it was a secure outlet that contained visual
representations of what was happening each week as we independently created content to post on the
blog as part of our research and planning. Blogger has been an easy way for me to locate a variety of
things that I need to know as my teacher posted many helpful guides and clear schedules onto their
blogs so that I was able to search what I needed to know easily without missing important deadlines or
missing helpful advice to further my knowledge on what could be done to create the best I could. Blogger
has become a website that I have become very equipped with as I have used it consecutively in both
AS’s therefore am aware of how to use it allowing me to correctly represent what I am posting. Blogger
allowed me to present my work in a simple yet attractive way I could chose the layout, colour pallet, font
and background image so that when anyone was to visit my blog they could interrupt my style and what I
wanted to achieve through my visual layout so I had full control over everything.
5.
6. TWITTER
Twitter was a great resource for me during my research and planning as it meant I could follow
artists that I found inspiration in as it could use their twitter account to see first-hand what they
were wearing, what they are thinking which was a vital especially when I was creating mood
boards and styling ideas. Having a twitter account made specifically for the artist I was creating
a music video on gave a more genuine feel as I could post things as though they were written
from Luna Rey (my artist) as a real artist would to promote their music and other aspect of
releasing music which is vital. The twitter account allowed me to post things to my blog from my
artist’s perspective and share updates as part of the research and planning.
7.
8. YOUTUBE
YouTube was used to upload both my drafts in post-production, find inspiration for my music
video and learn how to use software allowing me learn new skills that have facilitated my
editing and uploading progression. YouTube is a valuable product for the products created as it
allowed me to find inspiration of video ideas so that I could acknowledge conventions
established in the world of music video makings so that I was able to follow the ‘rules’ to create
a product that was genuinely quality in comparison to other more big budget video uploaded to
a big name marketing establishment like YouTube.
9.
10. ANIMOTO
Animoto was used to create the pitch needed for the initialisation of what my music was going
to based upon for the research and planning and because it was a video sequence it made it
more enjoyable to create and watch. This programme was vital when making my pitch, pre
production, as it meant I could create visual queues to the pitch that were interesting to watch,
informed on important aspects and mean that my audience could give helpful feedback based
on what is shown- supporting my pre- production progression.
11.
12. PHOTOSHOP
Photoshop was used in the construction of my two ancillary products as I could edit all my images,
add fonts and design layouts easily so that I could recreate a genuine looking digipak and magazine
advert. For the evaluation questions I had the ability to Photoshop anything I wanted to show my
skills when answering the questions and evaluate what I've done. I am advance in my Photoshop
skill which was a great benefit. I have used Photoshop for many years, and have advanced in skill
since taking media at A level therefore it was very Important that I used my skills to present my
ideas, and updates in a visually impressive way reflecting my passion for creating art through my
creative knowledge but also show the exam board and other individuals that I am capable of using a
complex software like Photoshop.
13.
14. GOOGLE
I used google to find inspiration in order to complete aspects of my research and
planning as well as use it to find images to find images to make mood boards and
find helpful websites. Without Google I would have been able to actually access
my blog or research anything digitally which could have been a massive barrier
for my whole product creation and evaluation aspect.
15.
16. ADOBE PREMIERE PRO
Adobe Premiere Pro is the software I used to edit the final video as it was easy to use,
allowed me to add text easily, and use the software anywhere I went which benefitted me
massively especially when it came to deadlines- the software was upload to several school
computers meaning I was able to access the programme anywhere using my time
productively.
17.
18. APPLE
The music video created was filmed solely on an iPhone 6S as it better matched the video
concept we wanted to follow; because the video had a variety of location possibilities having
an iPhone with great video quality made it more practical to film, share and at times edit.
Furthermore, because the iPhone had several social media apps we used on them meant we
could always check up on accounts, post to blogger and keep up to date on everything easily.
I used a Apple MacBook to edit my draft music video in post-production as it had programmes
like Final Cut Pro already installed so I could edit at any time however I used a different
programme to edit my final video based on practically reasons and a quicker editing process.
19.
20. WIX.COM
Wix is a site used to create a website for the brand of Luna Rey (the music artist) - it was
simple to use, free to create and meant more promotional platforms could be used in order
to reach out to my target audience. It is important to use these types of marketing
techniques to create a brand for the artist and allow consumers to feel they are getting
more Intel about who they are following so the fandom can be built.
21.
22. SLIDESHARE
ANDSCRIBD
SlideShare and Scribd were used to upload different aspects of my research and
planning made on PowerPoint or Microsoft word documents. I used these
formats because they were easy to use and simple to control as it is linked to
blogger so I could simply press a button and it could be uploaded instantly.
23.
24. SPOTIFY
Spotify is a music streaming app that allowed me to search through genres of
songs and playlists to choice the song I would make a video on. I was also able
to create a series of playlists that reflecting the song style we wanted to use and
digital decide the style of music.
