Digipak Advert FINAL Idea
This is the final idea my group and I have constructed to create our ancillary
text of a Digipak advert. We have used conventions of Digipak adverts and
analysed other posters to generate our ideas.
There will be an
Image of my group
and I in the centre
of the poster.
Conveys that we
are the main
characters of the
music video. The
image is used
within the Digipak;
this intertwines the
two texts and will
be easy for the
audience to find
when purchasing
the cd.
The photograph
will be edited
using a Wacom
tablet. Text will
be added onto
the glasses
saying ‘I love it’
with hearts on
each end.
Repeating the
title imprints it
into peoples
mind and
emphasises that
it’s important.
Social media links
used to get into
contact with the
band. Gives a
personal
connection with
the artists as they
can give their
feedback.
‘I Love It’ at the top of the
page in bold font. This
emphasises that it’s the title
by the use of exclamation
marks and is the main
aspect of the poster.
‘The Times’ is a newspaper company.
This emphasises that it’s a poster
from a newpaper. The Times is a
popular paper read throughout the
country, this could convey that its
‘Important enough’ to be included in
such a large company
The mis-en-
scene of the
sunglasses and
milkshakes
conveys the idea
of a summer’s
day. The
message of the
music video Is
having fun in the
summer with
friends and this is
portrayed
through the
imagery.
‘The Metal
Detectors!’ are an
imaginative
production company
my group and I
produced. It is
conventional to
include the
production company
within the poster to
advertise them. We
have included this to
represent the
production company
and ourselves.
The use of stars
represents the pop
genre. They convey
the glamour and
fame aspect of pop
artists. It’s also a fun
way to present the
company name.
With the iTunes logo
in the corner of the
poster it will depict
that the music video is
available on iTunes to
buy.This is
conventionally seen
on current posters.
‘OUT NOW’ in large
bold text depicts that
the music video is
out and ready to
buy. The large font
is as if we are
shouting at the
audience to watch
the video. This will
imprint it on them.
‘MV’ in large bubbled text
conveys that the poster is
advertising a music video.
