The study investigates the optimization of activated carbon production from mango nuts using zinc chloride (ZnCl2) through response surface methodology (RSM). It identifies optimal conditions with an 85.85% concentration, a 1:2.8 impregnation ratio, and 4.59 hours of activation time, achieving a surface area of 3551.1 m²/g, carbon yield of 85.85%, and ash content of 6.51%. The findings address waste management challenges by converting mango nut waste into a valuable adsorbent.
