The document discusses how knowledge management (KM) happens implicitly in startups through their natural growth and evolution. In early stages, sharing is organic due to close proximity and few employees. As companies grow, knowledge gaps emerge due to specialization, physical separation, and process changes. While startups adapt knowledge tools quickly, old information gets orphaned. The document suggests keeping KM simple, tied to work processes, and proactively led without using the term "KM" to avoid separation from work. It remains unclear when KM formally becomes important as knowledge barriers form between roles and organizations.

Speaker: Caitlin Clarke, commercial director, Trint.
A powerful way in which students can take advantage of emerging technologies and maximize research efficiency is by eliminating one of the most time-consuming tasks they have to deal with: transcribing lectures and interviews. Realistically it doesn’t take an hour to manually transcribe one hour of audio. It takes closer to three hours resulting in a staggering 90 hours of mind-numbing transcription. Trint offers a quick and easy solution to the pain of manual transcription: high-quality, accurate transcripts at the click of a button. All you have to do is upload your files, go grab a coffee and come back to AI- generated transcripts ready to be revised and downloaded.

Three complementary approaches to boost enterprise knowledge work developmentAntti Martikainen
This document outlines three complementary approaches to boosting enterprise knowledge work development: 1) Conducting scripted demos using new tools to help management understand possibilities; 2) Creating a knowledge work vision using scenarios of alternative futures; 3) Developing a knowledge work roadmap as a high-level plan to steer continuous learning and individual projects over the near and long term through pilots, IT/HR activities, and business objectives. The roadmap involves people from different functions and businesses and recognizes that knowledge work development requires continuous planning rather than single projects.

UX STRAT USA 2019: Rina Tambo Jensen, Mozilla UX STRAT
Mozilla has seen declining contributions from non-employees over time. A mixed-methods study found that contribution is growing for some projects like Rust but mailing lists are less used as platforms divide. Contributors feel things change without input. Diversity also impacts contribution. To address this, Mozilla formulated a strategy of "Open By Design" to bring staff and contributors together, focus on diversity and inclusion, advocate for projects, and improve contributor experiences. This led to over 30 new projects and initiatives to revitalize open contribution to Mozilla.
Digital data collection through mobile phones and the internet is more efficient than traditional paper-based methods. Paper-based collection of data such as vaccination rates in Indonesia could take 6 months or more for analysis due to slow data entry, whereas digital collection platforms allow near real-time access to data. This allows for better decision making by managers as they can more precisely measure outcomes, make better predictions, and target interventions driven by data rather than intuition alone. Digital tools like Magpie provide a simple way for Indian managers to collect and organize the data they need for faster, smarter decision making.

However, at the traditional university, websites were managed separately by different departments, leading to duplication, incorrect information, and a lack of consistent branding or user experience. The author outlines steps to improve communication, gain support from top administrators, and reshape the web team to develop a unified online identity and branding while still supporting individual departments.

Static Site Generators - Developing Websites in Low-resource ConditionIWMW
Paul Walk discusses static site generators as an alternative to content management systems for publishing websites. Static site generators allow content to be authored in simple text files using formats like Markdown and compiled into static HTML and CSS that can be hosted on basic web servers. They provide benefits like minimal infrastructure needs, easy preservation of content, and increased security compared to systems that rely on databases. However, they may not be as user-friendly for content authoring. In general, static site generators are best suited for smaller, simpler websites that don't require advanced user access controls or dynamic functionality.

The document discusses the need for vertical learning and communities of practice in a VUCA world. It provides examples of successful communities of practice across institutions, including a work shadowing scheme and action learning sets for women. Tips are given for establishing a community of practice, such as identifying interested groups, using existing connections, defining membership and leadership, and ensuring the ability to meet regularly.
How to train your content- so it doesn't slow you down... IWMW
This document discusses how to optimize web content, especially images, to improve performance and accessibility. It provides statistics on how images make up a large portion of web page sizes and explains common image formats. Optimization techniques are suggested like using responsive images, compression tools, and content delivery networks. The document stresses considering performance and accessibility throughout the design and development process from user research to deployment. Improving assets at their source and removing blocking elements can enhance the user experience.
Grassroots & Guerrillas: The Beginnings of a UX RevolutionIWMW
This document summarizes Kat Husbands' presentation on the beginnings of a UX revolution at the University of Glasgow. It describes how over time, UX has progressed from being unrecognized to becoming more embedded in the organization's culture and practices. It provides examples of projects where UX methods like surveys, testing, and workshops were used to redesign pages like the staff homepage and student printing pages. Feedback shows these projects improved users' experiences. The presentation urges others to start small with UX work, iterate based on testing, and communicate results to continue progressing UX maturity within their organizations.

There is no need to make each file manually. This slide will show how to create a module using the scaffold method.
LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
