This document summarizes research on hydroponics systems. It discusses how hydroponics can be used in urban areas with limited space to grow crops. It then reviews several hydroponics studies including using Internet of Things sensors to automatically control nutrient levels, comparing hydroponics and aquaponics systems, and analyzing how plant metabolites are affected by factors like sunlight exposure. The document concludes that hydroponics is a viable option for urban farming and that automated IoT systems and aquaponics can further improve plant growth and yields.
Internet of things based automated monitoring for indoor aeroponic systemIJECEIAES
On the ever-rising urgency of global food security, efforts are required to develop a robust farming technique. This includes the capability of farming in non-agricultural land or indoor spaces. Farming in the air medium, i.e., aeroponic, has persistently stepped in as a viable solution. Aeroponic farming allows efficient water usage while preventing soil related diseases and pests. With the assistance of light emitting diodes (LEDs) and precise electronic monitoring and control, aeroponic may become the suitable farming technique of the future. This work presents an aeroponic system capable of automated monitoring and control of farming parameters. The system achieved both robustness in indoor farming and remote access by employing LED as an artificial lighting system and the internet-of-things (IoT) connectivity, respectively. The test result demonstrated that the system successfully maintained the root chamber temperature below 30 °C with a typical average temperature of 28.8 °C. The system managed a humidity level which prevented plants from drying out. It was also evident that the LED assistance significantly improved the growth quality of Ipomea reptans. The system, data, and analysis presented in this work is expected to facilitate further development of a robust food production system in overcoming the global food crisis.
Concept Design and Analysis of Multipurpose Farm EquipmentAM Publications
All trades of village artisanship in black-smith carpentry, stone etc. contributed to the design of development of farm tools through artisan’s ingenuity. Carpentry made the counterpoise to lift the water from wells to irrigate crops. Big size of earthenware was made by potters to store grains for month to be safe from insects and pest’s cobblers used whole skins of animals to carry water to irrigate horticultural crops besides entering dust roads. Farming is the backbone of Indian economy. In this agriculture sector there is a lot of field work, such as weeding, reaping, sowing etc. Apart from these operations, spraying is also an important operation to be performed by the farmer to protect the cultivated crops from insects, pests, funguses and diseases for which various insecticides, pesticides, fungicides and nutrients are sprayed on crops for protection. As agriculture was the mainstay of the population, farmer required hand tools to do work, improve labor productivity and quality of work, therefore the results in poor productivity and obtain low yield MAE( Multipurpose Agriculture Equipment) was developed. We have developed agriculture needs to find new ways to improve efficiency. One approach is to utilize available information technologies in the form of more intelligent machines to reduce and target energy inputs in more effective ways than in the past. The advent of new concept gives the opportunity to develop a complete new range of agricultural equipment based on small smart machines that can do the right thing, in the right place, at the right time in the right way.
Study of Automated and Controlled Aquaponics System An Innovative and Integra...ijtsrd
At the moment, an attempt has been made to adapt, adapt and automate the Aquaponics System technology for the benefit of farmers and to tackle key issues such as food safety and water scarcity. Aquaponics is a combination of aquaculture, which is growing fish and other aquatic animals, and hydroponics which is growing plants without soil. Aquaponics uses these two in a symbiotic combination in which plants are fed the aquatic animal's discharge or waste. In return, the vegetables clean the water that goes back to the fish. Along with the fish and their waste, microbes play an important role to the nutrition of the plants. These beneficial bacteria gather in the spaces between the roots of the plant and converts the fish waste and the solids into substances the plants can use to grow. Aquaponics considered a sustainable production system. It presents a series of beneficial features for the environment such as land conservation, efficient use of water and nutrients, organic fertilization, produce the highest yield on a field, no floor is required, environmental benefits etc. This study describes the overall design and working, list of the component required, cost involved in the setup, maintenance, and operation, advantages and disadvantages of the system. A automatic prototype has also proposed to created a to test the system sustainability. The global agriculture system faces significant challenges in meeting the
growing demand for food production, particularly given projections that the
world's population will reach 70% by 2050. Hydroponic farming is an
increasingly popular technique in this field, offering a promising solution to
these challenges. This paper will present the improvement of the current
traditional hydroponic method by providing a system that can be used to
monitor and control the important element in order to help the plant grow up
smoothly. This proposed system is quite efficient and user-friendly that can
be used by anyone. This is a combination of a traditional hydroponic system,
an automatic control system and a smartphone. The primary objective is to
develop a smart system capable of monitoring and controlling potential
hydrogen (pH) levels, a key factor that affects hydroponic plant growth.
Ultimately, this paper offers an alternative approach to address the challenges
of the existing agricultural system and promote the production of clean,
disease-free, and healthy food for a better future.
Smart Polyhouse Farming using IoT Environmentijtsrd
A Polyhouse is a building where plants are grown. Polyhouses are often used for growing flowers, vegetables, fruits, and tobacco plant. Basic factors affecting plant growth are sunlight, water content in soil, temperature, etc. These physical factors are hard to control manually inside a Polyhouse and a need for automated design arises. Automatically controlling all the factors that affect plant growth is also a difficult task as it is expensive and some physical factors are inter-related, for example, temperature and humidity are related in a way when temperature raises humidity reduces therefore controlling both together is difficult. Because the temperature and humidity of Polyhouse must be constantly monitored to ensure optimal conditions, a wireless sensor network can be used to gather the data from point to point. A graphical user interface (GUI) is unified for the ease of operations by the farming community. System also allows transmission of process parameters, including emergency alarm signals via e-mail client server or alternatively sending a SMS on a mobile phone. A conventional chat has also been integrated with the GUI to add vibrancy to inter-user communication. This feature can be embedded in upcoming 3G mobile technology. Simulations and video tutorials can also be integrated in the web server for teaching the farming community. Such integrated approach greatly widens the socio-economic possibilities for farmers through interaction with modern technological resources. Raja. G | Rajarathinam. D. R. P | Abhiraj. Final project report on grocery store management system..pdfKamal Acharya
In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.
