INTRODUCTION:-
Humans have been disturbing nature by deforestation for quite some time
now. Well if there is no stopping of construction projects, one solution to this
could lie in planting trees each house so that the loss of plant life by
construction can be somehow recovered by planting enough trees within
each house.
Now a big obstacle that lies in indoor plant growth is sunlight. Residential flats
do not have an open roof. Other factors include lack of time to water plants
and lack of space to plant the plants in the house.

OVERVIEW:-

 This system makes use of a grow light,
light dimmer circuitry, water pump,
water tank, LCD display, water sensor
along with arduino controller based
control circuitry to develop the system.
The system is powered by a AC power
supply to run the circuitry.
 To overcome the obstacle, we have
designed an automated hydroponic
plant grow pot.
LITERATURE SURVEY :-

Hydroponics is a technique that ensures that the plant gets all nutrients
needed from the water solution. There are many types of hydroponics
technique. The Deep Water Culture (DWC) is one of the hydroponics
technique types.
DWC is a technique that grows the plant by supplying the nutrient direct to
the root of the plant until the plant can be harvested. However, this
technique manually controlled the pH water, which can give bad effect to
growing of plant. In this research, the pH level in water solution will be
automatically maintained by microcontroller and measured by sensor.
The water solution from the DWC container is transferred to the main tank
to measure the pH level by sensor and make adjustment if needed and
then transfer back to the deep water culture container to continue growing
the plant.
The automation of hydroponics uses sensors to determine how to
water, give light to and fertilize the plants through hydroponics, while
requiring no action from the user.
Being a closed loop system, we are able to reuse the hydroponic
solution over and over again as it runs through the plants, until it is
depleted. Everything from lighting and watering cycles to nutrient
and pH regulation is automated, as to make it simple for anybody to
grow plants.

OBJECTIVE:-
The main objective of the project is to completely automate the
process of growing plants in a system designed within one's
home. It utilizes hydroponics, a more efficient method for
growing plants than traditional potted soil. Everything from
lighting and watering cycles to nutrient and pH regulation is
automated, as to make it simple for anybody to grow plants.

• Mini submersible pump
• 5mm tubing

• LEDs
• Water level sensor
• Soil moisture sensor

METHODOLOGY:-

Plant Grow Pot
The system circuitry is powered by a dc power supply which allows the
user to adjust grow light as well as the watering settings. As per settings
provided to the device the system will adjust light intensity and duration
along with watering duration to achieve desired plant growth.
The system also has an inbuilt water tank for reserve water which allows
the system to water the plant for upto a week. When the water tank
supply runs low it is detected by water sensor which then activates a
buzzer alert with notice n LCD display to inform user to fill the reserve
tank.
Thus the system delivers fully automated arduino powered hydroponic
plant grow and care device.

RESULT:-
The system is automatically supplying water and nutrients to the plant
when it is needed.
One pump is giving water to the plant and the other pump supplies
nutrients.
Water level sensor indicates when the water level is low in the tank.
Grow light supplies light to the plant that is required for the plant to grow.

  • 2. INTRODUCTION:- Humans have been disturbing nature by deforestation for quite some time now. Well if there is no stopping of construction projects, one solution to this could lie in planting trees each house so that the loss of plant life by construction can be somehow recovered by planting enough trees within each house. Now a big obstacle that lies in indoor plant growth is sunlight. Residential flats do not have an open roof. Other factors include lack of time to water plants and lack of space to plant the plants in the house. Automatic Hydroponic Plant Grow Pot

OVERVIEW:- Automatic Hydroponic Plant Grow Pot  This system makes use of a grow light, light dimmer circuitry, water pump, water tank, LCD display, water sensor along with arduino controller based control circuitry to develop the system. The system is powered by a AC power supply to run the circuitry.  To overcome the obstacle, we have designed an automated hydroponic plant grow pot.
  • 4. LITERATURE SURVEY :- Automatic Hydroponic Plant Grow Pot Hydroponics is a technique that ensures that the plant gets all nutrients needed from the water solution. There are many types of hydroponics technique. The Deep Water Culture (DWC) is one of the hydroponics technique types. DWC is a technique that grows the plant by supplying the nutrient direct to the root of the plant until the plant can be harvested. However, this technique manually controlled the pH water, which can give bad effect to growing of plant. In this research, the pH level in water solution will be automatically maintained by microcontroller and measured by sensor. The water solution from the DWC container is transferred to the main tank to measure the pH level by sensor and make adjustment if needed and then transfer back to the deep water culture container to continue growing the plant.
  • 5. The automation of hydroponics uses sensors to determine how to water, give light to and fertilize the plants through hydroponics, while requiring no action from the user. Being a closed loop system, we are able to reuse the hydroponic solution over and over again as it runs through the plants, until it is depleted. Everything from lighting and watering cycles to nutrient and pH regulation is automated, as to make it simple for anybody to grow plants. Automatic Hydroponic Plant Grow Pot
  • 6. OBJECTIVE:- The main objective of the project is to completely automate the process of growing plants in a system designed within one's home. It utilizes hydroponics, a more efficient method for growing plants than traditional potted soil.   • 10. METHODOLOGY:- Automatic Hydroponic Plant Grow Pot The system circuitry is powered by a dc power supply which allows the user to adjust grow light as well as the watering settings. As per settings provided to the device the system will adjust light intensity and duration along with watering duration to achieve desired plant growth. The system also has an inbuilt water tank for reserve water which allows the system to water the plant for upto a week. When the water tank supply runs low it is detected by water sensor which then activates a buzzer alert with notice n LCD display to inform user to fill the reserve tank. Thus the system delivers fully automated arduino powered hydroponic plant grow and care device.

RESULT:- The system is automatically supplying water and nutrients to the plant when it is needed. One pump is giving water to the plant and the other pump supplies nutrients. Water level sensor indicates when the water level is low in the tank. Grow light supplies light to the plant that is required for the plant to grow.
