2. What is Pack tech?
 Packaging textiles or Packtech include all textile packing
materials for industrial, agricultural, and other goods. One
of the important uses of textiles is the manufacturing of
bags and sacks, traditionally from cotton, flax and jute but
increasingly from polypropylene.

3. Packaging Items:
 Plastic Material.
 Non-Woven Fabric.
 Tin & Steel Can.
 Glass.
 Fiber Board.
 Paper Board.
 Crepe etc.

4. Functions of Packaging used
in Apparel & Clothing:
• To reduce the shipment weight.
• To prevent the garment from dust or
odors.
• To prevent garments from acquiring
wrinkles or creases.
• To minimize storage space.

7. What is Build Tech?
 BUILDTECH = BUILD + TECH
 Any textile material i.e. fibers, yarn, rope,
fabrics which knowingly manufactured for
building purpose is called as build tech.

Because of the so many good properties, technical textiles
can be used at those areas;
 Concrete reinforcement.
 Interior constructions.
 Insulations.
 Proofing materials.
 Visual protection.
 Protection against the sun.
 Building safety.
 Tarpaulins.
 Archtectural membrans.
 Roofing materials etc.

9. Fibers used in Buildtech:
 High tenacity polyester is used when
need high strength.
 Glass Fiber is used for fire-retardant
applications.
 Nylon is used for membranes.
 Polyethylene and polypropylene is used
for ropes, nets and other similar
applications.
 Hemp fiber is used as reinforcement.
 Hollow fiber is used for achieve heat and
sound isolation.

• Mobiltech means the Textiles Technology
Integrated with Automobile, are known as
Mobiltech textiles. Mobiltech is also known as
Mobiltex. It includes a wide range of applications in
automotive and its components (including
aerospace, aircraft, railways, and marine vehicles)
