1. Introduction
Self-confidence is not automatically a common quality which pervades all aspects of a people life.

Abstract
The present study was planned to compare the self-confidence of university players. To conduct the
Indoor Game players (Ave. age 22.42 years) and 50 Out Door players (22.68 years) who represented their
Universities in inter university competitions were selected as sample. The selection of sample was mainly from

(1983) was administered. Results indicate that there is no significant has been found between Indoor and Outdoor

2.1 Sample
To conduct the present study, 50 Outdoor Players, (Ave. age 22.42 years) and 50 Indoor Players (Ave. age
22.68 years) were randomly selected, All the Player were the participants of Inter University tournaments
operational in East-Zone.
2.2 Tool
To assess self-confidence of selected subjects, self-confidence inventory prepared by Pandey (1983) was
used. This inventory is in Hindi and it consists of 60 questions. The nature of questions in the inventory is mixed i.e.
18 questions are positively worded while 42 questions are negatively worded. The reliability and validity of the
inventory is satisfactory.
2.3 Procedure
For the verification of the hypothesis the data collection has been followed as prescribed by the author.
Paper pencil test has been administered to all selected sample in the lab like condition.
3. RESULTS
After scoring, the data were tabulated according to their respective groups. ‘t’ test was used to find out
differences between these two groups.
Results are presented in table 1.

The reported‘t’ value is 1.45 in table no. 1, which is statistically not significant at 0.05 level.
4. Discussion and Conclusion
Self-Confidence is a well know psychological factors consist of multidimensional Impression in the sport’s
arena Self-Confidence play a key role for Athlete performance in the competitive zone. Strategy based on 100
sample planning to Indoor and Outdoor sports person did not make any significant difference on the Self-
Confidence. Issus therefore it can be calculated that technique part and Indoor or Outdoor Events does not affect
Self-Confidence.

A Comparative Study of Self Confidence between Indoor Game and Out Door Game Players

Received October 03, 201 The present study was planned to compare the self study, 50 Indoor Game players (Ave. age 22.42 years) and 50 Out Door players (22.68 years) who represented their Universities in inter university competitions were selected as sample. Confidence is thus no simply a feeling that things will go well but also a judgments on our own, or others', skills. When the skills in demand are our own, having confidence advice a high level of self that effects will turn out well, confidence may occasionally be used interchangeably with hopefulness. As confidence is a multi-dimensional impression it is not a term much used by psychologists. Definitely the instructors who are most possible to use the term are economists. ISSN- 2456-2963 [19] © International Journal of Physical Education and Sports (IJPES) 2.1 Sample To conduct the present study, 50 Outdoor Players, (Ave. age 22.42 years) and 50 Indoor Players (Ave. age 22.68 years) were randomly selected, All the Player were the participants of Inter University tournaments operational in East-Zone. 2.2 Tool To assess self-confidence of selected subjects, self-confidence inventory prepared by Pandey (1983) was used. This inventory is in Hindi and it consists of 60 questions. The nature of questions in the inventory is mixed i.e. 18 questions are positively worded while 42 questions are negatively worded. The reliability and validity of the inventory is satisfactory. 2.3 Procedure For the verification of the hypothesis the data collection has been followed as prescribed by the author. Paper pencil test has been administered to all selected sample in the lab like condition. 3. RESULTS After scoring, the data were tabulated according to their respective groups. ‘t’ test was used to find out differences between these two groups. Results are presented in table 1. Discussion and Conclusion Self-Confidence is a well know psychological factors consist of multidimensional Impression in the sport’s arena Self-Confidence play a key role for Athlete performance in the competitive zone. Strategy based on 100 sample planning to Indoor and Outdoor sports person did not make any significant difference on the Self- Confidence. Issus therefore it can be calculated that technique part and Indoor or Outdoor Events does not affect Self-Confidence.
