3. ResearchWhat were the strengths of your research?
The main strength of my research was that I. managed to get an idea of what
everyone wants and also, how the different opinions all converge into one solution
and an idea for everyone.
How did your research help your product?
The research helped my work in a way where I had an idea of what everyone wants
as a variety of differences within my work, so it could satisfy everyone’s interests.
What were the weaknesses of your research?
I would say the main weakness of my work would when it came to explaining the
hypodermic needle effect, it was hard to justify exactly what effect it would have on
the audience and also how would an ideology of autism would benefit their interests.
What could you have done better/improve?
I could improve by building up a strong survey to gather more opinions as well as look
more into theorists opinions and discuss on whether this would benefit a niche
audience or a mass audience.
What effect would this have had on your product?
The research would have an effect on my product in a way where it would help back
up with enough information and natural opinions form a different variety of crowds
where they each have their say on different aspect of the condition, in other words, it
would give me different options that I cliild converge into one overall plan.
4. Planning
What were the strengths of your planning?
I would day the main strength of my planning was that it helped me prepare and draft the
initial layout and sequence for the video and helped me gain a better understanding of how to
make it look and sound good. Also, it helped me acknowledge possible risks and solution for
when it came to production.
How did your planning help your product?
The planning helped my work in a way where it provided me with confidence and preparation
for when it came to the real deal as well as prepare the audio files and choosing what works
best with which moment.
What were the weaknesses of your planning?
The main weakness of my planning was that could only assume advance location
requirements such as weather and time. Eventually, we managed to come sup with a solution
and had to alter some of the plans due to weather complications and free time findings.
What could you have done better/improve?
I could have improved by adding more about the health and safety, as when we were filming,
my puppy was kind of in the way as my parents and I were performing. I forgot to put him in
his bed whilst production commenced. I could also improve by choosing some more serious
soundtrack to make it scary but more personal, just to show how serious it is when talking
about the condition.
What effect would this have had on your product?
This planning had an effect on my work where it gave me enough time to think about what to
include and also, how to interpret the nature of autism in this ‘’fashion’.
5. Time management
Did you manage your time well?
Yes, I managed to complete may work within the time limit, even earlier
than expected since it is a single video and it only talks about the basics of
the autism condition, so the clips would only explained a pinch of the
basics as well as the pros and cons, so the clips would only last for about
7 seconds .
Did you complete your project on time or would your products have
improved with additional time?
I managed to complete my work on time, but that’s because the amount of
filming clips was small due to the main talk of the video is only the basics
and is in tally about a fifth of the huge topic in total, because when you
learn of the basics, it better to learn them first since autism can be a
complex topic. I did not need additional time for this process.
What would you have done if you had more time to produce your
work?
I would have probably incorporated more physical scenes of that the cast
are talking about, since there seems to be more interview scenes than
action scenes than originally planned.
6. Technical Qualities
My Video
Amazing things happen
(Alexander Amelines)
Similarities
They both include the same topic as well as delve
into the basics of the condition. Also they both talk
about the impact the condition has on the
individual and how we can accept everyone for
who they are and not for what they possess.
Differences
The main difference between the two is their genre
choice i.e animation and film. They use different
genres to explain the condition, but it just goes to
show that the information is still being delivered
effectively in different ways. Also, the animation
talks about more advanced basics such as the 5
different senses and how it effects the mind when
it converges wrongly together into one block of
issues, whilst in my video, the cast talk more
about the physical parts of the condition rather
than mental more.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
Does your work look good?
I believe my work does look good in a way where it provides enough
info about the basics of autism and how we choose to see it.
Was it creative?
I could say it was creative, but maybe a bit more juice of creative
could be added.
What aspects of your video visuals do you like?
I like how the television glitches give the video a rather unsettling
atmosphere to begin with and then gradually gets better in feeling
good over time.
What would you improve?
I would improve the amount of clips and try to explain more on the
mental side of the condition more.
How would you improve it?
I would improve by filming more clips and asking the cast to talk
more about the mental impacts of the condition to make both sides
equal.
Strengths
I would say the main strength is that is certainly provers a strong
atmosphere for both good and bad parts of autism as well provides a
lot of information about the basics and what should we do.
Weaknesses
The main weakness is that I, in my roles, act more sharply and well
as more to the point of what point the cast are making and make
sure it is physically accurate.
8. Audience Appeal
How have you appealed to your target
audience?
I believe I have appealed my target
audience by keep the personal element
key and talk about the more serious but
happier parts of the condition in order to
keep it biased because since my
audience is 16-24 years old, they may
have reached a age where they finally
understand.
What specific bits of content would
appeal to your target audience.
I would say the physical scenes as well
as interviews are the main parts that
gave the audience satisfaction as well
as learning elements since some many
never have heard of the condition.
10. What did you like about the product?
I liked the overall theme of the video and how it's
something that people should both talk about and be
more aware of. I also like the different visual effects to
the video and how they added to what was being said at
the topic.
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
I don't think that I would want anything
changed/anything to be improved on in the product. I
think it's an overall good product with a good message.
Feedback 1
11. Feedback 2
What did you like about the product?
I liked the topic you discussed and how you used
renacted footage of yourself to show what its like. The
camera work was good and I like the filter you used in
shots.
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
I think that some of the audio could have been edited
better. Theres one line that feels like it was cut off just
a little bit too early.
12. Feedback 3
What did you like about the product?
I enjoyed the stylised approach and the obvious passion that
you have for the subject.
What improvements could have been made to the product?
If I were to suggest some improvements for your piece, I'd
suggest finding a few more visual and sound effects as the
repetition of these elements is a tell-tale sign of an amateur
production. Static and glitch effects are particularly simple to
make yourself using free tools, this exercise is also useful for
getting used to audio editing in general, so I'd highly
recommend it.
13. Peer Feedback
Summary
What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
I agree that the shots ands camera angles worked well and that
the physical examples look good to show. I also agree that the
editing of the audio could be improved to a higher level.
What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
Nothing to disagree on.
14. Peer Feedback
SummaryWhat changes would you make to your product based upon your
peer feedback and why?
Based upon my feedback, I would make the changes to my audio in
order to make it more sharper and effect, also, in the right timing ion
the clips.
