Research
• In my opinion I think that my research worked well and really helped me
towards my final product for example I think that a strength of my
research part is that I researched different styles of games and really
analyse the different aspects and help to play. In my opinion I think that
looking into the different styles and colours that each of these different
games have used to make a whole different game cover is really
important therefore I feel that I did this well as I really took into
consideration and that contributed towards my end final product. I think
that a weakness of my research is that once I had decided what genre of
game I was going to do I kind of stuck to just one type of game category
of a choice game where the viewer play’s and choses therefore I think I
should of really ventured out a bit more to see what the differences of
other games would really be and how I could add different factors into
my own work and then maybe I could of mixed different components into
just one game and I think that this would of worked well. Overall I think
that my research stage of my project really contributed and benefited
well towards the final outcome of my final product as I believe that I got
a lot of ideas from analysing the different factors of the games. However
saying this I still believe that I could of really improved on the final
outcome and made it a lot better for example I still think that if I had
looked at various different genres of games when it came to the choosing
of which games I was going to really research and analysis as I just stuck
to one specific genre, in my opinion I think that this would of really
improved my overall product as it would of made it more of my own
instead of a game that already exists, I also think that this would benefit
the overall appearance as I feel that it would benefit it and make it more
suitable for the selected audience as I feel that my end product isn't
really suited towards the right age range.
PlanningIn my opinion I think that a strength of my planning are that I think
that I really explored all the different areas in my genre and theme for
my work therefore I think that this part of my project went well as I
really explored lots of different options that I needed for example I
researched lots of different fonts that I actually would use and this was
helpful for when it came to the actual production as it meant that
having to scroll through websites to find the best ones and ones I can
actually use instead I just came onto my pre-production planning
website and looked at all the ones I had previously chosen and I think
that this technique worked well as it meant that I got to save as much
time therefore I could spend as much time and make the most of the
time when it came to the production , however I still feel that I could of
still improved my pre-production PowerPoint for example I think that I
could of explored more different options instead of keeping one strict
theme and I kept to it and I think that this was a weakness of my
planning as it meant that I only really kept to one style and didn’t give
myself much room to add anything different as from these screen
shots once I decided on a colour scheme I only used certain pictures
that were following this and in some aspects this was good as it
allowed me to have a wide variety of something that I was going to use
but it is also a weakness as it means that I didn’t have much room or
options to change my mind or add anything different as I have gone
down one specific route of the planning. In my opinion I think that this
would of improved and effected my overall product as maybe I would
of included some additional parts if I had added and used them in my
planning PowerPoint which would make my product more diverse and
more different, however saying this I still believe that the planning was
a big part and made a large difference when it came to the outcome of
my final product.
Time Management
In my opinion I think that I did manage my time well as I believe
that I am not currently behind on any work and I kept to my
time schedule for each of the PowerPoint's and my actual
production itself, however saying this I still think that additional
time would definitely improved my products and I think that
you can really see this especially when looking at my final
product as in the beginning I tried to spend a lot of time on
each of the characters and different props however I still feel
that when it came to putting it into premier and creating the
sounds that I felt rushed for time in these areas therefore if I did
have additional time this would of really improved my overall
production. If I had the opportunity to redo this project I would
make sure to leave enough time to the editing as I feel that my
editing let my overall product down as I had to rush and this
then brought the whole game down as the editing/noises and
text wasn’t as good as it could have been, therefore in the
future I will make sure to leave plenty of time for this part as I
didn't’t initially realize how crucial this part was for the overall
game to look. When it comes to the written work I believe that I
followed my schedule about the weeks that I will be doing
everything and stuck to this well and followed through
therefore I feel that my written work was completed in a good
time frame however with additional time this would have been
completed to a higher standard.
Technical Qualities
In my opinion I think that a strength of my work on a technical aspect would
be that I used a variety of different colours to give a more shaded and 3D
effect rather than just a block of colour, in the already existing product we can
see that they use this technique here to make the character look as realistic
as possible therefore I think that this is a good similarity however I still think
that there could have been a lot of improvements made to my video game
technically for example in the already existing game there seems to be a lot
going on at once which makes the game seem more realistic as outside things
are moving and the character is blinking and acting as if it was more so real
whereas in my game it is really only one thing at a time that really moves and
the character isn't acting or behaving like she is real. In my opinion I don’t
think that the smoothness of my animation is very good or clear as it seems to
be very jumpy and if I had the opportunity to do this again I would definitely
focus on this more as I would of taken more time and put in smaller frames to
make it run smoother and clearer. Overall I think that the existing product
looks very realistic and more clear what is really going on whereas mine you
can really tell that it was made not quickly but was definitely rushed and more
so unclear on what is really supposed to be happening and I think this is really
the biggest difference as it shows that my game isn't very helpful or clear
what is really happening therefore I feel that if I had more time or the option
to do this project again I would definitely focus on the animation part as I feel
that this is one of the weakest elements.
Aural Qualities

In my opinion I think that a strength of my audio
elements is that it Is a classic beat that goes well with my
actual game itself, in my opinion I don’t think that I am
very skilled when it comes to music/aural qualities as I
really haven't had much experience or luck when it comes
to this and I think that this really shows as my music and
beats for this project are very basic and definably could
be improved however in my opinion I still think that this
works overall. Comparing my aural work to already
existing products really shows me how basic my own
work and really how much goes into a generic beat from a
much better game and there music.
Aesthetic Qualities
In my opinion I think that my work doesn’t really look
that good as I think it looks very basic and rushed and I
think that I could definitely spent a little bit more time
to make individual parts a lot better. However saying
this I still think that there are aspects of my game that I
do like for example I really thin that the moving
wardrobe works well and overall looks good as it looks
like it is always moving constantly on which I think
works well with my overall game. In my opinion I think
that if I had the opportunity to redo this production I
would definitely change a lot for example I would
spend a bit more time on the smaller parts for example
on my actual character to make sure that this looks
better as I think that an extra bit of time would really
help the overall look of my work to look nicer and
more finished.
Audience Appeal
In my opinion I don’t really think that my final
product really appeals to my targeted audience
purely because I think that the overall game looks
very young and more so suited towards a younger
audience. If I had the opportunity to do this again I
think that I would definitely try and change this and
make the overall looks of it more older and more so
suited towards my targeted audience. However
saying this I still think that some specific parts would
appeal to my chosen audience for example in my
proposal I said that my audience would mostly be
female based and I think that the end product still
lives up to this and works well for girls with the whole
colour scheme and the overall look to the game.
