2. The first aspect
of my magazine
was my
background, this
was an image of
bricks that took, I
had to do this as
the background
of my model
didn’t have
enough space
for my mast
head, I feel the
background has
a urban feel so I
didn’t add and
effects.

3. I then cut out my model
from her original picture
using the magic wand. I
felt my model didn’t stand
out and looked plan so I
increased the
temperature. This helped
my model to be the main
focus.
I then moved onto my mast head,
using dafont I created my title, I then
upload it to Photoshop. I wanted the
pattern from my models clothes to be
in the mast head, I did this my
copying and then cutting out part of
the pattern. I then placed the
pattern under the masthead. The by
using the magic wand I cut out the
inside of the words allowing the
pattern to be seen.

4. On the next day of creating my magazine I started adding
text. Throughout my magazine I will be using the same font
for my sub-lines, looking at professional magazines they use
the same font so I will be doing the same. I decided to keep
my colour pattern by using the colours from my models,
helping to keep my magazine a high quality.
To help the text to stand out I added boxes
using the shape tool, and decreased the
opacity to 45% for all boxes. The artist
mentioned on my magazine are famous
AfroBeat singers, this helps my audience
what genre my magazine is.

5. My main cover line is in a different font
to the rest of the text on my magazine.
I did this to help the words stand out
and grab the consumers attention.
The word’ exclusive’ is behind the
model, however her name is on top of
her, many music magazines do this, it
has a edgy look to the magazine, the
look, looks well planned.
I also added a cover-line on top so it could a strip of
writing, as I don’t want to much text all over the cover.
When creating my magazine I only used to types of fonts.

6. I added the
basics of my
magazine;
barcode, date
line, price.
Because of the development
of the internet, I decided to
interpret this into my magazine.
Twitter has many fans and
users so my magazine has a
twitter site, where my
consumers can see tweets of
shows, competitions. There is
examples of this on my
magazine. Throughout my
magazine I used a colour
pattern, I used the colours from
my models clothing, this
helped my magazine to look
professional.

7. Lastly I used grids
and rulers to help
line my text. It
helped to structure
my magazine
