This document discusses defects and shortfalls in object-oriented languages and programming. It begins with an abstract that introduces the topic and importance of examining defects in object-oriented analysis and design given its widespread use. It then discusses some common defects in object-oriented design, including issues that can arise from overuse of inheritance, encapsulation, and rigid class structures. It also discusses crosscutting concerns as a source of defects. The document reviews methods that have been used to detect defects, such as metrics-based techniques and aspect-oriented programming.
THE REMOVAL OF NUMERICAL DRIFT FROM SCIENTIFIC MODELSIJSEA
Computer programs often behave differently under different compilers or in different computing
environments. Relative debugging is a collection of techniques by which these differences are analysed.
Differences may arise because of different interpretations of errors in the code, because of bugs in the
compilers or because of numerical drift, and all of these were observed in the present study. Numerical
drift arises when small and acceptable differences in values computed by different systems are
integrated, so that the results drift apart. This is well understood and need not degrade the validity of the
program results. Coding errors and compiler bugs may degrade the results and should be removed. This
paper describes a technique for the comparison of two program runs which removes numerical drift and
therefore exposes coding and compiler errors. The procedure is highly automated and requires very little
intervention by the user. The technique is applied to the Weather Research and Forecasting model, the
most widely used weather and climate modelling code.

ABSTRACT
Software systems drive our phones, cars, banks, cities, etc. This places a heavy load on software industry
because all these systems must be continuously updated, corrected and extended when users and
consumers express new needs and high quality software is now perceived as a "must have" rather than
"should have". Developers has to do their best to assure that their code has minimal defects.
Nowadays technologies evolve rapidly, software suffer from some majors problems. Firstly software
maintainers have to deal with the past (past languages, existing systems, old technologies). It is often
misunderstood and treated as a punishment. Secondly developers have to ensure a good software quality.
To deal with such problems, approaches have been proposed to support software maintenance and reduce
the efforts of developers. One approach commonly adopted is the usage of rules to ensure source code
quality and ease maintenance activities.
We propose in this paper an approach to ease corrective maintenance task and help to improve software
quality by exploiting human knowledge available in software repositories. This approach support
remediation of bad situations; by reducing for example time spent to read, understand and how the code
can be changed.
Abstract
Researchers in the field of software engineering, business process improvement and information engineering all want to drastically modernize software life-cycle processes and technologies to correct the problems and to improve the quality of software. Research goals have included ancillary issues, such as improving user services through conversion to new platforms and facilitating software processes by adopting automated tools. Automated tools for software development, understanding, maintenance, and documentation add to process maturity, leading to better quality and reliability of computer services and greater customer satisfaction. This paper focuses on critical issues of legacy program improvement. The program improvement needs the estimation of program from various perspectives. The paper highlights various elements of legacy program complexity which further can be taken in account for further program development.

Industry-Academia Communication In Empirical Software EngineeringPer Runeson
Researchers in software engineering must communicate with industry practitioners, both engineers and managers. Communication may be about collaboration buy-in, problem identification, empirical data collection, solution design, evaluation, and reporting. In order to gain mutual benefit of the collaboration, ensuring relevant research and improved industry practice, researchers and practitioners must be good at communicating. The basis for a researcher to be good at industry-academia communication is firstly to be “bi-lingual”. Understanding and being able to translate between these “languages” is essential. Secondly, it is also about being “bi-cultural”.Understanding the incentives in industry and academia respectively, is a basis for being able to find balances between e.g. rigor and relevance in the research. Time frames is another aspect that is different in the two cultures. Thirdly, the choice of communication channels is key to reach the intended audience.A wide range of channels exist, from face to face meetings, via tweets and blogs, to academic journal papers and theses; each having its own audience and purposes. The keynote speech will explore the challenges of industry-academia communication, based on two decades of collaboration experiences, both successes and failures. It aims to support primarily the academic side of the communication to help achieving industry impact through rigorous and relevant empirical software engineering research.
Determining The Barriers Faced By Novice ProgrammersWaqas Tariq
Most of the novice programmers find glitches at various phases while trying to complete a program in their Computer Science programming course. These phases can be while constructing the code, finding errors in the code at the time of compilation of the program, debugging these errors while executing the program. Novice programmers are unable to understand some of the concepts in programming. Computer Science programming course instructors are experiencing difficulty in finding these barriers faced by the students. These barriers are forcing students to drop programming course from their degree plan and becoming a concern to the professors teaching programming course. In this research ActivePresenter software is used. This software recorded the full motion video with crystal clear quality and helped in capturing screen shots automatically with a click of a mouse or pressing any key in the keyboard of the students who are trying to complete a programming assignment. By analyzing all the recordings collected from different students, these barriers are determined.

Programmer Productivity Enhancement Through Controlled Natural Language Inputijseajournal
We have created CABERNET, a Controlled Nature Language (CNL) based approach to program creation. CABERNET allows programmers to use a simple outline-based syntax. This allows increased programmer efficiency and syntax flexibility. CNLs have successfully been used for writing requirements documents. We propose taking this approach well beyond this to fully functional programs. Through the use of heuristics and inference to analyze and determine the programmer’s intent we are able to create fully functional mobile applications. The goal is for programs to be aligned with the way that the humans think rather than the way computers process information. Through the use of templates a CABERNET application can be processed to run on multiple run time environments. Because processing of a CABERNET program file results in native application program performance is maintained.
The software industry has had significant progress

Production and Maintenance. Software maintenance cost is
increasingly growing and estimates showed that about 90%, if
software life cost is related to its maintenance phase. Extraction

help to estimate the cost and reduce it by controlling the factors.
Cost estimation of maintenance phase is necessary to predict the

HYBRID PRACTICES IN GLOBAL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEWijseajournal
Although agile methods in their purest way fit several companies, it has been a challenge to perform them in environments with distributed teams developing large software applications. Contractual items, for projects under development for external organizations, introduce additional complexities for pure agilebased approaches. The majority of global teams and companies use hybrid development practices that combine different development methods and frameworks. This research provides results from an empirical field study on how the hybrids practices are adopted in Global Software Development (GSD) projects. A systematic literature review was conducted to capture the status of combining agile with plan-driven in GSD projects. The results were limited to peer-reviewed conference papers or journal articles, published between 2001 and 2020. The present study selected 37 papers from five different bibliographic databases. In the end, 16 practices were summarized and described as hybrid by GSD projects. Based on the findings of this study, the authors can conclude that the contribution of this study is not only limited to identifying how hybrid development practices are applied in GSD but also allowing that practitioners can have a basis for adapting their development methods.
Defect Prevention Based on 5 Dimensions of Defect Originijseajournal
Discovering the unexpected is more important than confirming the known [7]. In software development,
the “unexpected” one relates to defects. These defects when unattended would cause failure to the product
and risk to the users. The increasing dependency of society on software and the crucial consequences that a
failure can cause requires the need to find out the defects at the origin itself. Based on the lessons learnt
from the earlier set of projects, a defect framework highlighting the 5 Dimensions (Ds) of defect origin is
proposed in this work. The defect framework is based on analyzing the defects that had emerged from
various stages of software development like Requirements, Design, Coding, Testing and Timeline (defects
due to lack of time during development). This study is not limited to just identifying the origin of defects at
various phases of software development but also finds out the reasons for such defects, and defect
preventive (DP) measures are proposed for each type of defect. This work can help practitioners choose
effective defect avoidance measures.
In addition to arriving at defect framework, this work also proposes a defect injection metric based on
severity of the defect rather than just defect count, which gives the number of adjusted defects produced by
a project at various phases. The defect injection metric value, once calculated, serves as a yardstick to
make a comparison in the improvements made in the software process development between similar set of
projects.

ITERATIVE AND INCREMENTAL DEVELOPMENT ANALYSIS STUDY OF VOCATIONAL CAREER INF...ijseajournal
Software development process presents various types of models with their corresponding phases required to be accordingly followed in delivery of quality products and projects. Despite the various expertise and skills of systems analysts, designers, and programmers, systems failure is inevitable when a suitable development process model is not followed. This paper focuses on the Iterative and Incremental Development (IID)model and justified its role in the analysis and design software systems. The paper adopted the qualitative research approach that justified and harnessed the relevance of IID in the context of systems analysis and design using the Vocational
Career Information System (VCIS) as a case study. The paper viewed the IID as a change-driven software development process model. The results showed some system specification, functional specification of system and design specifications that can be used in implementing the VCIS using the IID model. Thus, the paper concluded that in systems analysis and design, it is imperative to consider a suitable development process that reflects the engineering mind-set, with heavy emphasis on good analysis and design for quality assurance.

Software Defect Prediction Using Local and Global AnalysisEditor IJMTER
The software defect factors are used to measure the quality of the software. The software
effort estimation is used to measure the effort required for the software development process. The defect
factor makes an impact on the software development effort. Software development and cost factors are
also decided with reference to the defect and effort factors. The software defects are predicted with
reference to the module information. Module link information are used in the effort estimation process.
Data mining techniques are used in the software analysis process. Clustering techniques are used
in the property grouping process. Rule mining methods are used to learn rules from clustered data
values. The “WHERE” clustering scheme and “WHICH” rule mining scheme are used in the defect
prediction and effort estimation process. The system uses the module information for the defect
prediction and effort estimation process.
The proposed system is designed to improve the defect prediction and effort estimation process.
The Single Objective Genetic Algorithm (SOGA) is used in the clustering process. The rule learning
operations are carried out sing the Apriori algorithm. The system improves the cluster accuracy levels.
The defect prediction and effort estimation accuracy is also improved by the system. The system is
developed using the Java language and Oracle relation database environment.

Detecting Aspect Intertype Declaration Interference at Aspect Oriented Design...IJERA Editor
Implementing crosscutting concerns requires aspect oriented developers to be enabled to introduce some mem-bers to core concerns modules along with other. This may lead to a problem of interference among modules, either between classes and aspects or among aspects themselves. Such conflicts may cause program to crash at runtime. Interference problem is addressed but with complex solutions that become more complicated propor-tionally with the project size. In this work a relational database approach and relational algebra is used to detect intertype declaration interferences in aspect oriented design models in order to capture conflicts in an early stage before having it as runtime error. Detection is done in an approach not that complex as the previous ones.
An analysis of software aging in cloud environment IJECEIAES
Cloud computing is the environment in which several virtual machines (VM) run concurrently on physical machines. The cloud computing infrastructure hosts multiple cloud services that communicate with each other using the interfaces. During operation, the software systems accumulate errors or garbage that leads to system failure and other hazardous consequences. This status is called software aging. Software aging happens because of memory fragmentation, resource consumption in large scale and accumulation of numerical error. Software aging degrads the performance that may result in system failure. This happens because of premature resource exhaustion. The errors that cause software agings are of special types and target the response time and its environment. This issue is to be resolved only during run time as it occurs because of the dynamic nature of the problem. To alleviate the impact of software aging, software rejuvenation technique is being used. Rejuvenation process reboots the system or reinitiates the softwares. Software rejuvenation removes accumulated error conditions, frees up deadlocks and defragments operating system resources like memory. Software aging and rejuvenation has generated a lot of research interest recently. This work reviews some of the research works related to detection of software aging and identifies research gaps.

MODELING AND ANALYSIS OF SURFACE ROUGHNESS AND WHITE LATER THICKNESS IN WIRE-...IAEME Publication
White layer thickness (WLT) formed and surface roughness in wire electric discharge turning (WEDT) of tungsten carbide composite has been made to model through response surface methodology (RSM). A Taguchi’s standard Design of experiments involving five input variables with three levels has been employed to establish a mathematical model between input parameters and responses. Percentage of cobalt content, spindle speed, Pulse on-time, wire feed and pulse off-time were changed during the experimental tests based on the Taguchi’s orthogonal array L27 (3^13). Analysis of variance (ANOVA) revealed that the mathematical models obtained can adequately describe performance within the parameters of the factors considered. There was a good agreement between the experimental and predicted values in this study.

BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

Banking regulations act of India, 1949 defines banking as “acceptance of deposits for the purpose of lending or investment from the public, repayment on demand or otherwise and withdrawable through cheques, drafts order or otherwise”, the major participants of the Indian financial system are commercial banks, the financial institution encompassing term lending institutions. Investments institutions, specialized financial institution and the state level development banks, non banking financial companies (NBFC) and other market intermediaries such has the stock brokers and money lenders are among the oldest of the certain variants of NBFC and the oldest market participants. The asset quality of banks is one of the most important indicators of their financial health. The Indian banking sector has been facing severe problems of increasing Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth directly and indirectly affects the quality of assets and profitability of banks. It also shows the efficiency of banks credit risk management and the recovery effectiveness. NPA do not generate any income, whereas, the bank is required to make provisions for such as assets that why is a double edge weapon. This paper outlines the concept of quality of bank loans of different types like Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of selected public and private sector banks. This study is highlighting problems associated with the role of commercial bank in financing Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME). ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.
