The article proposes a new model for optimizing software effort and cost estimation based on code reusability. The model compares new projects to previously completed, similar projects stored in a code repository. By searching for and retrieving reusable code, functions, and methods from old projects, the model aims to reduce effort and cost estimates for new software development. The model is described as being based on the concept of estimation by analogy and using innovative search and retrieval techniques to achieve code reuse and thus decreased cost and effort estimates.

The need of computing the software complexity in requirement analysis phase of software
development life cycle (SDLC) would be an enormous benefit for estimating the required
development and testing effort for yet to be developed software. Also, a relationship between
source code and difficulty in developing a source code are also attempted in order to estimate the
complexity of the proposed software for cost estimation, man power build up, code and
developer’s evaluation. Therefore, this paper presents a systematic and an integrated approach
for the estimation of software development and testing effort on the basis of improved
requirement based complexity (IRBC) of the proposed software. The IRBC measure serves as the
basis for estimation of these software development activities to enable the developers and
practitioners to predict the critical information about the software development intricacies and
obtained from software requirement specification (SRS) of proposed software. Hence, this paper
presents an integrated approach, for the prediction of software development and testing effort
using IRBC. For validation purpose, the proposed measures are categorically compared with
various established and prevalent practices proposed in the past. Finally, the results obtained, validates the claim, for the approaches discussed in this paper, for estimation of software development and testing effort, in the early phases of SDLC appears to be robust, comprehensive, early alarming and compares well with other measures proposed in the past.

Many information technology firms among other organizations have been working on how to perform estimation of the sources such as fund and other resources during software development processes. Software development life cycles require lot of activities and skills to avoid risks and the best software estimation technique is supposed to be employed. Therefore, in this research, a comparative study was conducted, that consider the accuracy, usage, and suitability of existing methods. It will be suitable for the project managers and project consultants during the whole software project development process. In this project technique such as linear regression; both algorithmic and non-algorithmic are applied. Model, composite and regression techniques are used to derive COCOMO, COCOMO II, SLIM and linear multiple respectively. Moreover, expertise-based and linear-based rules are applied in non-algorithm methods. However, the technique needs some advancement to reduce the errors that are experienced during the software development process. Therefore, this paper in relation to software estimation techniques has proposed a model that can be helpful to the information technology firms, researchers and other firms that use information technology in the processes such as budgeting and decision-making processes.

Identifying the most relevant factors influencing project performance is essential for implementing business strategies by selecting and adjusting proper improvement activities. The two major classification algorithms CRT and ANN that were recommended by the Auto Classifier tool in SPSS Modeler used for determining the most important variables (attributes) of software development in PC environment. While the accuracy of classification of productive versus non-productive cases are relatively close (72% vs 69%), their ranking of important variables are different. CRT ranks the Programming Language as the most important variable and Function Points as the least important. On the other hand, ANN ranks the Function Points as the most important followed by team size and Programming Language.
Optimizing Effort Parameter of COCOMO II Using Particle Swarm Optimization Me...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Estimating the effort and cost of software is an important activity for software project managers. A poor estimate (overestimates or underestimates) will result in poor software project management. To handle this problem, many researchers have proposed various models for estimating software cost. Constructive Cost Model II (COCOMO II) is one of the best known and widely used models for estimating software costs. To estimate the cost of a software project, the COCOMO II model uses software size, cost drivers, scale factors as inputs. However, this model is still lacking in terms of accuracy. To improve the accuracy of COCOMO II model, this study examines the effect of the cost factor and scale factor in improving the accuracy of effort estimation. In this study, we initialized using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to optimize the parameters in a model of COCOMO II. The method proposed is implemented using the Turkish Software Industry dataset which has 12 data items. The method can handle improper and uncertain inputs efficiently, as well as improves the reliability of software effort. The experiment results by MMRE were 34.1939%, indicating better high accuracy and significantly minimizing error 698.9461% and 104.876%.
A Novel Effort Estimation Model For Software Requirement Changes During Softw...ijseajournal
Software Requirements Changes is a typical phenomenon in any software development project. Restricting incoming changes might cause user dissatisfaction and allowing too many changes might cause delay in project delivery. Moreover, the acceptance or rejection of the change requests become challenging for software project managers when these changes are occurred in Software Development Phase. Where in
Software Development Phase software artifacts are not in consistent state such as: some of the class artifacts are Fully Developed, some are Half Developed, some are Major Developed, some are Minor Developed and some are Not Developed yet. However, software effort estimation and change impact analysis are the two most common techniques which might help software project managers in accepting or
rejecting change requests during Software Development Phase. The aim of this research is to develop a new software change effort estimation model which helps software project manager in estimating the effort for software Requirement Changes during Software Development Phase. Thus, this research has analyzed
the existing effort estimation models and change impact analysis techniques for Softwrae Development Phase from the literature and proposed a new software change effort estimation model by combining change impact analysis technique with effort estimation model. Later, the new proposed model has been evaluated by selecting four small size software projects as case selections in applying experimental approch. The experiment results show that the overall Mean Magnitude Relative Error value produced by the new proposed model is under 25%. Hence it is concluded that the new proposed model is applicable in estimating the amount of effort for requirement changes during SDP.
A new model for software costestimationijfcstjournal
Accurate and realistic estimation is always considered to be a great challenge in software industry.
Software Cost Estimation (SCE) is the standard application used to manage software projects. Determining
the amount of estimation in the initial stages of the project depends on planning other activities of the
project. In fact, the estimation is confronted with a number of uncertainties and barriers’, yet assessing the
previous projects is essential to solve this problem. Several models have been developed for the analysis of
software projects. But the classical reference method is the COCOMO model, there are other methods
which are also applied such as Function Point (FP), Line of Code(LOC); meanwhile, the expert`s opinions
matter in this regard. In recent years, the growth and the combination of meta-heuristic algorithms with
high accuracy have brought about a great achievement in software engineering. Meta-heuristic algorithms
which can analyze data from multiple dimensions and identify the optimum solution between them are
analytical tools for the analysis of data. In this paper, we have used the Harmony Search (HS)algorithm for
SCE. The proposed model which is a collection of 60 standard projects from Dataset NASA60 has been
assessed. The experimental results show that HS algorithm is a good way for determining the weight
similarity measures factors of software effort, and reducing the error of MRE.
A NEW HYBRID FOR SOFTWARE COST ESTIMATION USING PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION A...ieijjournal
Software Cost Estimation (SCE) is considered one of the most important sections in software engineering that results in capabilities and well-deserved influence on the processes of cost and effort. Two factors of cost and effort in software projects determine the success and failure of projects. The project that will be completed in a certain time and manpower is a successful one and will have good profit to project
managers. In most of the SCE techniques, algorithmic models such as COCOMO algorithm models have been used. COCOMO model is not capable of estimating the close approximations to the actual cost, because it runs in the form of linear. So, the models should be adapted that simultaneously with the number of Lines of Code (LOC) has the ability to estimate in a fair and accurate fashion for effort factors. Metaheuristic algorithms can be a good model for SCE due to the ability of local and global search. In this paper, we have used the hybrid of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Differential Evolution (DE) for the SCE. Test results on NASA60 software dataset show that the rate of Mean Magnitude of Relative Error (MMRE) error on hybrid model, in comparison with COCOMO model is reduced to about 9.55%
In the present paper, applicability and
capability of A.I techniques for effort estimation prediction has
been investigated. It is seen that neuro fuzzy models are very
robust, characterized by fast computation, capable of handling
the distorted data. Due to the presence of data non-linearity, it is
an efficient quantitative tool to predict effort estimation. The one
hidden layer network has been developed named as OHLANFIS
using MATLAB simulation environment.
Here the initial parameters of the OHLANFIS are
identified using the subtractive clustering method. Parameters of
the Gaussian membership function are optimally determined
using the hybrid learning algorithm. From the analysis it is seen
that the Effort Estimation prediction model developed using
OHLANFIS technique has been able to perform well over normal
ANFIS Model.

Does a Hybrid Approach of Agile and Plan-Driven Methods Work Better for IT Sy...IJERA Editor
With a focus on large-scale IT system development projects in diverse enterprises, this research suggests that a hybrid approach combining agile and plan-driven management methods should fit in a wider context of specific project characteristics. Although the extant research illuminates the advantages of the hybrid approach, very few empirical studies actually suggested that the hybrid approach can improve the likelihood of project success. This research results show that the hybrid approach should be more scalable than the agile method, and that the hybrid approach can provide better cost-benefit ratios compared to the traditional plan-driven method. These quantitative and qualitative findings offer a practical recommendation for the project manager or the project management office to utilize the hybrid approach appropriately.

The software industry has had significant progress
in recent years. The entire life of software includes two phases:
Production and Maintenance. Software maintenance cost is
increasingly growing and estimates showed that about 90%, if
software life cost is related to its maintenance phase. Extraction
and considering the factors affecting software maintenance cost
help to estimate the cost and reduce it by controlling the factors.
Cost estimation of maintenance phase is necessary to predict the
reliability, improve the productivity, project planning, controlling

to estimate the maintenance cost of traditional software like
COCOMO, SLIM, Function Point etc., but till now there is no
such model to estimate the maintenance cost using fourth

Insights on Research Techniques towards Cost Estimation in Software Design IJECEIAES
Software cost estimation is of the most challenging task in project management in order to ensuring smoother development operation and target achievement. There has been evolution of various standards tools and techniques for cost estimation practiced in the industry at present times. However, it was never investigated about the overall picturization of effectiveness of such techniques till date. This paper initiates its contribution by presenting taxonomies of conventional cost-estimation techniques and then investigates the research trends towards frequently addressed problems in it. The paper also reviews the existing techniques in well-structured manner in order to highlight the problems addressed, techniques used, advantages associated and limitation explored from literatures. Finally, we also brief the explored open research issues as an added contribution to this manuscript.

Software projects mostly exceeds budget, delivered late and does not meet with the customer’s satisfaction for years. In the past, many traditional development models like waterfall, spiral, iterative, and prototyping methods are used to build the software systems. In recent years, agile models are widely used in developing the software products. The major reasons are – simplicity, incorporating the requirement changes at any time, light-weight approach and delivering the working product early and in short duration. Whatever the development model used, it still remains a challenge for software engineer’s to accurately estimate the size, effort and the time required for developing the software system. This survey focuses on the existing estimation models used in traditional as well in agile software development.
The performance of an algorithm can be improved using a parallel computing programming approach. In this study, the performance of bubble sort algorithm on various computer specifications has been applied. Experimental results have shown that parallel computing programming can save significant time performance by 61%-65% compared to serial computing programming.
A sustainable procedural method of software design process improvementsnooriasukmaningtyas
In practice, the software process is an intermediate phase for enhancement and improvements the design for different types of software products and help developers to converts the specified requirements into prototypes that implement the design into reality. The objective of this paper is to provide software developers, designers and software engineers who work in small companies with a standards-based process improvement using a procedural method technique including detailed steps for designing the small software systems into their companies. The method used in this paper includes 1) analysis four different types of commonly design processes used by industry such as CMMI, conventional or software process in ISO 19759, generic and engineering design processes. 2) mapping between those four design processes. 3) collect the dispersed design concepts proposed by those four processes. 4) proposed a sustainable procedural method of software design process improvements 5) Illustration of the applicability of the proposed approach using A template-based implementation. The primary result of this study is a guideline procedure with detailed steps for software design process improvements to help and guide developers in small companies to analyze and design a small software scales with limited cost and duration. In conclusion, this paper proposed a method to improve the design process for different kinds of the software systems using a templatebased implementation to reduce the cost, effort and time needed in the implementation phase in small companies. The scientific implication behind a template-based implementation helps the system and software engineering to use this template easily in their small companies; because most of the time those engineering developers are responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing and testing their software systems during the whole software life cycle.
The software industry has had significant progress
in recent years. The entire life of software includes two phases:
Production and Maintenance. Software maintenance cost is
increasingly growing and estimates showed that about 90%, if
software life cost is related to its maintenance phase. Extraction
and considering the factors affecting software maintenance cost
help to estimate the cost and reduce it by controlling the factors.
Cost estimation of maintenance phase is necessary to predict the
reliability, improve the productivity, project planning, controlling
and adaptability of the software. Though there are various models
to estimate the maintenance cost of traditional software like
COCOMO, SLIM, Function Point etc., but till now there is no
such model to estimate the maintenance cost using fourth
generation language environment. Software maintenance will
continue to exist in the fourth generation environment, as systems
will still be required to evolve. In this kind of situation there is
needed to develop a model to estimate the maintenance cost using
fourth generation environment. We propose a systematic
approach and development for software maintenance cost
estimation model using fourth generation language environment
on the basis of COCOMO II. This model is based on three
parameters: SMCE with Fourth Generation Language
Environment, ACT (Annual Change Traffic), Technical and NonTechnical
factors which affect the maintenance cost. The
favorable results closely matching and it can be achieved by using
model implementation.
SOFTWARE COST ESTIMATION USING FUZZY NUMBER AND PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATIONIJCI JOURNAL
Software cost estimation is a process to calculate effort, time and cost of a project, and assist in better
decision making about the feasibility or viability of project. Accurate cost prediction is required to
effectively organize the project development tasks and to make economical and strategic planning, project
management. There are several known and unknown factors affect this process, so cost estimation is a very
difficult process. Software size is a very important factor that impacts the process of cost estimation.
Accuracy of cost estimation is directly proportional to the accuracy of the size estimation.
Failure of Software projects has always been an important area of focus for the Software Industry.
Implementation phase is not the only phase for Software projects to fail, instead planning and estimation
steps are the most crucial ones, which lead to their failure. More than 50% of the total projects fail which
go beyond the estimated time and cost. The Standish group‘s CHAOS reports failure rate of 70% for the
software projects. This paper presents the existing algorithms for software estimation and the relevant
concepts of Fuzzy Theory and PSO. Also explains the proposed algorithm with experimental results.
A NEW MODEL FOR SOFTWARE COSTESTIMATION USING HARMONY SEARCHijfcstjournal

DESQA a Software Quality Assurance FrameworkIJERA Editor
In current software development lifecycles of heterogeneous environments, the pitfalls businesses have to face are that software defect tracking, measurements and quality assurance do not start early enough in the development process. In fact the cost of fixing a defect in a production environment is much higher than in the initial phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which is particularly true for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Thus the aim of this study is to develop a new framework for defect tracking and detection and quality estimation for early stages particularly for the design stage of the SDLC. Part of the objectives of this work is to conceptualize, borrow and customize from known frameworks, such as object-oriented programming to build a solid framework using automated rule based intelligent mechanisms to detect and classify defects in software design of SOA. The implementation part demonstrated how the framework can predict the quality level of the designed software. The results showed a good level of quality estimation can be achieved based on the number of design attributes, the number of quality attributes and the number of SOA Design Defects. Assessment shows that metrics provide guidelines to indicate the progress that a software system has made and the quality of design. Using these guidelines, we can develop more usable and maintainable software systems to fulfill the demand of efficient systems for software applications. Another valuable result coming from this study is that developers are trying to keep backwards compatibility when they introduce new functionality. Sometimes, in the same newly-introduced elements developers perform necessary breaking changes in future versions. In that way they give time to their clients to adapt their systems. This is a very valuable practice for the developers because they have more time to assess the quality of their software before releasing it. Other improvements in this research include investigation of other design attributes and SOA Design Defects which can be computed in extending the tests we performed.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT CHANGE EFFORT ESTIMATION MODEL PROTOTYPE TOOL FOR SOFTWA...ijseajournal
In software development phase software artifacts are not in consistent states such as: some of the class artifacts are fully developed some are half developed, some are major developed, some are minor developed and some are not developed yet. At this stage allowing too many software requirement changes may possibly delay in project delivery and increase development budget of the software. On the other hand rejecting too many changes may increase customer dissatisfaction. Software change effort estimation is one of the most challenging and important activity that helps software project managers in accepting or rejecting changes during software development phase. This paper extends our previous works on developing a software requirement change effort estimation model prototype tool for the software development phase. The significant achievements of the tool are demonstrated through an extensive experimental validation using several case studies. The experimental analysis shows improvement in the estimation accuracy over current change effort estimation models.
Efficient Indicators to Evaluate the Status of Software Development Effort Es...IJMIT JOURNAL
Development effort is an undeniable part of the project management which considerably influences the
success of project. Inaccurate and unreliable estimation of effort can easily lead to the failure of project.
Due to the special specifications, accurate estimation of effort in the software projects is a vital
management activity that must be carefully done to avoid from the unforeseen results. However numerous
effort estimation methods have been proposed in this field, the accuracy of estimates is not satisfying and
the attempts continue to improve the performance of estimation methods. Prior researches conducted in
this area have focused on numerical and quantitative approaches and there are a few research works that
investigate the root problems and issues behind the inaccurate effort estimation of software development
effort. In this paper, a framework is proposed to evaluate and investigate the situation of an organization in
terms of effort estimation. The proposed framework includes various indicators which cover the critical
issues in field of software development effort estimation. Since the capabilities and shortages of
organizations for effort estimation are not the same, the proposed indicators can lead to have a systematic
approach in which the strengths and weaknesses of organizations in field of effort estimation are
discovered

BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

ATTRITION IN THE IT INDUSTRY DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC: LINKING EMOTIONAL INTE...IAEME Publication
Globally, Millions of dollars were spent by the organizations for employing skilled Information Technology (IT) professionals. It is costly to replace unskilled employees with IT professionals possessing technical skills and competencies that aid in interconnecting the business processes. The organization’s employment tactics were forced to alter by globalization along with technological innovations as they consistently diminish to remain lean, outsource to concentrate on core competencies along with restructuring/reallocate personnel to gather efficiency. As other jobs, organizations or professions have become reasonably more appropriate in a shifting employment landscape, the above alterations trigger both involuntary as well as voluntary turnover. The employee view on jobs is also afflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic along with the employee-driven labour market. So, having effective strategies is necessary to tackle the withdrawal rate of employees. By associating Emotional Intelligence (EI) along with Talent Management (TM) in the IT industry, the rise in attrition rate was analyzed in this study. Only 303 respondents were collected out of 350 participants to whom questionnaires were distributed. From the employees of IT organizations located in Bangalore (India), the data were congregated. A simple random sampling methodology was employed to congregate data as of the respondents. Generating the hypothesis along with testing is eventuated. The effect of EI and TM along with regression analysis between TM and EI was analyzed. The outcomes indicated that employee and Organizational Performance (OP) were elevated by effective EI along with TM.

By implementing talent management strategy, organizations would have the option to retain their skilled professionals while additionally working on their overall performance. It is the course of appropriately utilizing the ideal individuals, setting them up for future top positions, exploring and dealing with their performance, and holding them back from leaving the organization. It is employee performance that determines the success of every organization. The firm quickly obtains an upper hand over its rivals in the event that its employees having particular skills that cannot be duplicated by the competitors. Thus, firms are centred on creating successful talent management practices and processes to deal with the unique human resources. Firms are additionally endeavouring to keep their top/key staff since on the off chance that they leave; the whole store of information leaves the firm's hands. The study's objective was to determine the impact of talent management on organizational performance among the selected IT organizations in Chennai. The study recommends that talent management limitedly affects performance. On the off chance that this talent is appropriately management and implemented properly, organizations might benefit as much as possible from their maintained assets to support development and productivity, both monetarily and non-monetarily.
A STUDY OF VARIOUS TYPES OF LOANS OF SELECTED PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR BANKS...IAEME Publication
Banking regulations act of India, 1949 defines banking as “acceptance of deposits for the purpose of lending or investment from the public, repayment on demand or otherwise and withdrawable through cheques, drafts order or otherwise”, the major participants of the Indian financial system are commercial banks, the financial institution encompassing term lending institutions. Investments institutions, specialized financial institution and the state level development banks, non banking financial companies (NBFC) and other market intermediaries such has the stock brokers and money lenders are among the oldest of the certain variants of NBFC and the oldest market participants. The asset quality of banks is one of the most important indicators of their financial health. The Indian banking sector has been facing severe problems of increasing Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth directly and indirectly affects the quality of assets and profitability of banks. It also shows the efficiency of banks credit risk management and the recovery effectiveness. NPA do not generate any income, whereas, the bank is required to make provisions for such as assets that why is a double edge weapon. This paper outlines the concept of quality of bank loans of different types like Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of selected public and private sector banks. This study is highlighting problems associated with the role of commercial bank in financing Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME). The overall objective of the research was to assess the effect of the financing provisions existing for the setting up and operations of MSMEs in the country and to generate recommendations for more robust financing mechanisms for successful operation of the MSMEs, in turn understanding the impact of MSME loans on financial institutions due to NPA. There are many research conducted on the topic of Non- Performing Assets (NPA) Management, concerning particular bank, comparative study of public and private banks etc. In this paper the researcher is considering the aggregate data of selected public sector and private sector banks and attempts to compare the NPA of Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of public and private sector banks. The tools used in the study are average and Anova test and variance. The findings reveal that NPA is common problem for both public and private sector banks and is associated with all types of loans either that is housing loans, agriculture loans and loans to SMES. NPAs of both public and private sector banks show the increasing trend. In 2010-11 GNPA of public and private sector were at same level it was 2% but after 2010-11 it increased in many fold and at present there is GNPA in some more than 15%. It shows the dark area of Indian banking sector.

ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
