Universal Gravitation Essay
Newton s law of universal gravitation extends gravity beyond earth. The law of the universal
gravitation is about the universality of gravity. Newton s law of universal gravitation states that every
particle is attached with each other particle in the universe. Newton s law of the universal gravitation
states that, Any two bodies in the universe attract each other with a force that is directly proportional
to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
The law of universal gravitation was find by Newton because of an apple. When the apple fell from

Sandra Cisneros Use Of Figurative Language
Sandra Cisneros creates the voice of Rachel as an eleven year old girl by, using similes. I know this
because in the story it stats, The way you grow old is kind of like a onion or like the rings inside a tree

Introduction
Amy Poehler has many memorable roles, from being a recurring member on Saturday Night Live, to
her award nominated portrayal of Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation. Poehler is an American
comedian classic. When she was chosen as the 2011 Harvard Class Day Commencement Speaker, she
took on a serious and honorable role. Poehler gave the graduating class of 2011, a hilarious, engaging,
and inspirational speech. Poehler was chosen to give a speech that was out of her ordinary comfort
zone, to inspire a hardworking class of graduates as they headed off into the working world. Her
speech is an excellent example of effective rhetoric through its use of artistic proofs, humor, and
establishing common ground. Through the content of Poehler s speech, her detailed care to the
rhetorical situation, and her impressive use of rhetoric, Poehler gave one of the most memorable and
moving commencement addresses in Harvard s history.

David Sedaris Us And Them
Us and Them What if you moved into a seemingly normal house in a seemingly normal street, with
seemingly normal neighbors, except for your neighbors across the street: the Tomkeys. A deranged
family that communicates and does God knows what on their boat together. They are always reading
and doing unheard of things like playing board games as a family. But the scariest thing about this
family is they don t own a television. In David Sedaris s memoir Us and Them he writes about his
experience as a adolescent moving house to house, living a boring life, till motherly gossip leaks that
the Tomkey family does not own a T.V.. Young Sedaris finds himself growing more and more curious
about this family going to the extent of watching them from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

If he did decide to use logos he could have added facts or statistics about how often the average family
has a sit down meal together. However his tactic in writing this was not to use facts and blatantly point
out the error of modern society, it was to go about making the reader laugh. Allowing the reader to
discover the problem by his or her self and applying it to their own life. The idea that humans go about
finding ways to detract themselves like in the last paragraphing when Sedaris goes around facing his
problem by allowing his thoughts to wonder: This stagecoach, for instance, coming round the bend
with a cargo of gold. This shiny new Mustang convertible. This teenage girl, her hair a beautiful mane,
sipping Pepsi through a straw, one picture after another, on and on until the news, and whatever came
on after the news, (p. 17).By giving the reader time to connect his story to their own personal
experience he gets his message across but makes it enjoyable and something to be remembered. In
many cases the logical appeal is not. It would have taken away from the experience if he had

Hedging at General Motors Essay
Executive Summary Being one of the largest automakers in the world, General Motors (GM)
undertakes its manufacturing operations in over 30 countries with vehicles being sold in over 200
countries. Through undertaking its international operations it also subjects itself to various types of
foreign exchange exposures due to fluctuations in the values of currencies; to manage this problem it
has adopted a passive hedging policy and aims to reduce the impact of foreign exchange exposures on
the business. The first part of this report outlines the various types of foreign exchange exposures that
GM can subject itself to and also outlines what methods can be used to reduce the risk associated with
changes in the value of currencies; the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Using Financial Instruments to Hedge Hedging through the use of financial instruments is whereby
instruments such as forwards, options and money markets are used to manage the risk of foreign
exchange exposure. Forward Hedges are where a contractual obligation exists regarding the buying or
selling of a currency at a specified fixed future rate on a specified future date. It requires a source of
funds (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). Option Hedges are a right not an obligation to buy or
sell a specified currency at a specific rate on a specified future date. It allows for speculation on the
upside while still limiting the loss (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). Money Market Hedges is
another method, this contract is a loan agreement whereby a firm borrows in one currency and
exchanges the proceeds in another currency (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). Natural Hedging
This type of hedging is whereby foreign exchange exposures in outflows of cash are offset by inflows
of cash through matching of transactions (i.e. Revenues and Expenses). Natural hedging focuses on
operating cash flows; for example a receivable is offset by a payable in the same currency without the
use of financial instruments, this however requires consideration of synchronising values of the cash
flow and timing of the cash flows (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). Strategic Decision making

Questions On Initial Reactions And How It Can Your Views...
1. What were your initial reactions to how this group is set up? How have your views changed at this
point, if at all?
I believe for me my initial reactions to how this group was set up is that everyone is in the same boat.
By that I mean nobody (except for the professor) knew what to expect or what could happen. As I
recall one of the initial conversations started at the beginning of the first class was about a complaint
regarding smoking. This seemed to me a half hazard attempt at starting an easy conversation, but gave
little in the way of development of group interaction. This was more of a vent and didn t strive to
develop relationships within the group but rather express a baseline opinion on what was annoying
them that day. We saw that again in this last class when the first initial conversation had to do with
issues about parking. I have noticed a definite change as time has progressed in how much information
people appear to be giving out. My hopes for this class is that we can avoid going turning this into a
complaint forum and get into the grit of each other s personal lives. Discussing things like deepest
fears, or worse things that have happened to individuals and how they coped with them would be more
in line with what I would hope to expect from this group. My views are that the group is slowly
opening up, but in a class that only meets once a week it is not moving fast enough.
2. What is one quality of communication in our group, if any, that you would like

Ratio Analysis On Market Value
Ratio analysis on Market value The market value of a leased vehicle is normally lower than the
residual value. The residual value of a leased vehicle is adjusted downward towards carrying the value
during the lease end that approximates the estimated end of term market value. During the quarterly
periods, TMCC reviews the estimated end of term market values of a leased vehicle to assess the
aptness of carrying the values. Thus, the factors affecting the estimated end of term market value is
somewhat similar to the evaluation considered for the residual value.
The contract maturity of the leased vehicle is less than its contractual residual value however; there is
a higher probability for a vehicle to be returned. In addition, the higher the market supply of certain
models of used vehicles cans ultimately lowering a relative level of demand. For example, the loss of
severity during the end of term market value is less than the estimated residual value that is
established during lease inception. Thus, the depreciation expense is recorded in order to provide a
straight line of information to determine the depreciable basis of the leased vehicle.
Return on Equity (ROE) TMCC equity price risks are related to its investments and equity mutual
funds are included within the investment portfolio. The investments are designed to track the
performance and the major equity market indices. With the fair market values, equity investments are

Shelby M. Dykes
In this paper, I will discuss the form, content, and subject matter of three different paintings. Each of
the paintings represents the following: representational painting, abstract painting, and a portrait. The
paintings I have chosen are: Edward Hopper s Nighthawks 1942, Wassily Kodinsky s Colour Studies:
Squares and Concentrentic Circles 1913, and Pablo Picasso s Self Portrait 1907.
Representational paintings show clear objects or events and have a clear subject matter in the painting.

I can almost picture Kandinsky s brush moving around the painting in quick, swooping motions. The
linear design of the painting is clear with the vertical and horizontal, fine lines painted as squares.
Without a doubt, the all at onceness of the painting is created by the color. Kandinsky used such a
wide range of color techniques that when I close my eyes upon viewing the painting, the image is still
present. The colors are bright primary and secondary colors mixed with more earthy hues. The two
overlapping circles on the bottom left are made evident by the low value of the green mixing with the
saturated red to create almost a black. The contrast created by the black and yellow square touching is
eye catching. The gradation in the upper left square is evident by the continuous changes from the
swirl surrounding the circle. It changes from yellow to green, then to blue and back to yellow! Can
you feel the excitement in my description? This is what the painting makes me feel while
participating. Despite the sectioned off circles and squares, the painting demonstrates unity. That is,
the painting forms togetherness, despite contrasts of details and regions. The color also helps define
the depth. As depth was clearly seen in Nighthawks, the depth of Colour Studie is not as readily
evident. Look at the bottom left square. The circle seems somewhat flat. Now view the upper left
square. It gives the feeling of protrusion. It seems as if the circle is popping out of the

Essay on Phantom of the Opera
Phantom of the Opera
In the novel, Phantom of the Opera, by Gaston Leroux, we are introduced to a character known to
everyone as the mysterious Opera Ghost. His character in this book is very complex.
Although the Opera Ghost is very ugly physically and mentally, through his actions, we can find much
beauty.
During the masked ball we are given, what the reader believes at the time, a very good physical
description of the Opera Ghost. At the masked ball the Opera Ghost does a perfect job imitating death.
The Grim Reaper himself must have posed for it, the on looking crowd would comment. But the

Erik truly was ugly, not only physically, but mentally.
We are given our first example of Erik s beauty when Raoul is spying on Christine in her dressing
room. He starts to hear a beautiful sound that seems to coming all around him. He sees no one in the
room, but the music starts to get louder and more definite. A voice that unites all extremes at once,
(103), Raoul tells, without knowing of the ugliness of the character from which it comes. Raoul
continues to praise the voice as, heroically sweet..., so delicate in strength, so strong in delicacy, and
so irresistibly triumphant,(103). This clearly shows that, without knowing the physical ugliness of the
Opera Ghost, a body could enjoy his beautiful voice.
Another example of Erik s beauty comes through his love of Christine. At the end of the novel the
Opera Ghost is talking to the Persian. The Persians asks Erik why he decided to spare the live of
himself, as well as the life of his enemy, Viscount Raoul de Chagny. I(Opera Ghost), felt her tears
dropping on my forehead..., I took off my mask and she didn t die..., I then heard her say, poor,
unhappy Erik and from then on I was only a poor dog, (263). I (Erik), told her that she could marry
her young man..., it was like cutting my own heart into little pieces, (264).

Symptoms And Treatment Of Chest Pain
Chest Pain Chest pain is defined as a general term for any dull, aching pain in the thorax, usually
referring to that of acute onset, which is often regarded as being myocardial in origin unless proven
otherwise (McGraw Hill n.d.). Chest pain is a warning to seek medical attention and can be caused by
many reasons. Serious causes for chest pain include: Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS): New onset
angina, accelerating or crescendo angina and prolonged angina or coronary insufficiency, non ST
elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Typical
features of cardiac chest pain is 1.) located under the breastbone or at least some of the pain is situated
in this area, 2.) other features include provocation by exercise or stress and 3.) relief by rest or
nitroglycerin. If all three features are present the patient is said to have typical angina. If two of the
three features are present the patient is said to have atypical angina and if only one of the three
features are present the patient is said to have non anginal chest pain (Continuing Medical
Implementaiton 2013). Chest pain or chest discomfort is the most common presenting complaint that

Why Is Lacrosse Important
Lacrosse
Got your help!!!!!! That s what lacrosse players say the majority of the time when playing lacrosse.
They say this when they are open for a pass or want the ball. The sport of lacrosse should be in the
olympics. To support my position I will Give you a description of the game, the popularity of the
game and finally a counterarguement that I will fight.
In this paragraph I will give you a desription of the game of lacrosse. First according to the article
named lacrosse the sport is played on a field 60 70 yards x 110 yards. This proves useful because it
means it can be played on a soccer field that is already made. All you would have to do would be to
add 5 yard extensions to each end of the field. The next reason is based on the time length of the
game. According to the article titled NCAA Rules for Men s Lacrosse there is four 15 minute quarters
and a 10 minute halftime with 2 minutes in between every quarter. It also has a overtime of 4 minutes
but can go on longer if there is still a tie. That means it has a total time of 78 minutes including
everything except the time after the overtime. That is shorter than a soccer game in the olympics. So
basically it would nt take up much time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

500,000 players. This means that it would draw big crowds if it were in the olympics which means

hosting the olympics. Next according to the article titled National Lacrosse Participation Grows 3.5
Percent in 2014 they said that in the International Lacrosse World Championship, 38 countries played.
This means that by the time it is an olympic sport we will probably fill the number of required
countries that compete in a summer olympic

Military Apprenticeship Paper
United Services Military Apprenticeship Program (USMAP)
Veteran s today face many challenges as they seek civilian jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor
Statistics 2014 report more than 190,000 of the 2.8 million Gulf War II Veterans cannot find work,
USMAP could help resolve this issue (Watson, 2014). Senior Enlisted Leaders need to understand the
advantages USMAP in order to provide transitioning service members from active duty to civilian life.
This paper will provide the background information, discussion, and recommendation for the
increased use of USMAP.
Background Information
Veteran unemployment is an ever increasing issue for service members departing from active duty.
USMAP established as a formal military training program in 1999 through the consolidation of the
U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Naval apprenticeship programs, and the U.S. Coast Guard apprenticeship
programs in 2007, the program supplies service members with certification as Journey Workers per
standards of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in specific occupational fields. USMAP could
seriously assist in reducing the number of unemployed veterans. With the background information
provided, the discussion will provide further information.

an increase in personnel registering in the program, however due to current deployments and
schedules many members are not completing for the following reasons (Shatkin ,

Counter Fire Task Force Mission Report
I have been here in this Battalion for just under eleven months now; the main mission that the
Battalion plays is to support the Counter Fire Task Force if North Korea were ever to attack. Within
the Battalion there are three Batteries, two firing Batteries with M270 Multi Launch Rocket Systems
(MLRS) assigned, a Headquarter and Headquarters Battery and a Forward Support Company (FSC).
As I said in the introduction, I am only over here for one year; this means that every Soldier within the

Commander and Sergeant Major are in position for two years due to the nature of importance of the

Currently there is an incentive option to encourage Soldiers to extend for an additional year in Korea;
this is known as the Assignment Incentive Pay (AIP) Option, where you get an additional three
hundred dollars a month from the moment you sign the documents to extend until you leave the
country. Although this is a nice option to have, many Soldiers and leaders still choose not to stay any
longer than their one year obligation. As I see it the only way to get Soldiers and leaders to stay is to
make them stay. To develop a proper way ahead and remain flexible to change as needed throughout
the process, Kotter s eight step approach to change would allow for a good strategy rather than plan to
allow for the Army to accomplish this mission. The first step on Kotter s approach is to develop a
sense of urgency; just like most things in life, if you re not being pushed by someone of something to
accomplish a task than you will wait and it may not get done to standard or at all. Step one, I would
decide on a date that we would start implementing the normal accompanied tour and send out a
MILPER message across the entire force to all active duty personnel s email. I would stress that we
are transitioning back to the longer tour to enhance readiness and detour any aggressions from North
Korea. With Soldiers returning with their families, there would a large need of construction of support
facilities for these families; currently there are no schools on the instillation that I am assigned. We
could make this campaign a partnership with the local community and provide jobs and boost the local

CEP55 Essay
CEP55 plays a critical role for precise midbody assembly as CEP55 depleted cells exhibited an
abnormal midbody structure that lacked visible midbody under light microscope [220]. They also
demonstrated the interaction of CEP55 with an orchestra of structural and regulatory proteins essential
for accomplishment of cytokinesis. These proteins include Aurora B, MKLP2, PRC1, ECT2, Anillin
and Syntaxin 2 which are recruited to the midbody thus implying the importance of CEP55 being
indispensable for midbody structure maintenance [220]. Carlton et al. and Morita et al. have
independently demonstrated that CEP55 coordinates the final stage of cell abscission. They have

Further characterization is required to discriminate the role of CEP55 being direct (facilitates actual
abscission) or indirect (regulates recruitment of vesicular trafficking proteins) in cytokinesis.
1.7.4 The structure of CEP55 and ESCRT complex at the midbody
As discussed previously, CEP55 forms a complex with ALIX and TSG101 at the midbody to recruit
ESCRT machinery to the midbody for facilitating membrane fission events required to assist
separation of two daughter cells [212, 223]. Among many other ESCRT complexes (such as 0, I, II
and III), ESCRT III plays critical role in regulating cytokinesis as it forms long filamentous structures
to allow construction of constriction site [195, 212, 223]. In context to CEP55, ALIX enables
recruitment of ESCRT III whereas TSG101 allows conscription of ESCRT I initially which in turn
recruits ESCRT III (Figure 1.11B) [212, 223]. CEP55, like other centrosomal proteins is a highly
coiled coil protein and is known to exist as a homodimer [218]. Initially, Morita et al. demonstrated
that CEP55 is comprised of two coiled coil region joined by a hinge region that enabled binding of
ALIX and TSG101 [223]. However, Lee et al. demonstrated that the hinge region is part of the coiled
coil region with the probability of being a continuation of N terminal domain (Figure 1.11B) [196]. In
addition, Lee et al. also demonstrated that each homodimer of CEP55 binds only one copy of either
ALIX or TSG101

democratization of new media in the 21st century. The expansion of the Internet in the 2000s defines a
new era of greater democratization of social interactions that were not possible through the use of the

in which people could share information in a democratic way. The increase use of social networking

made is possible for ordinary citizens (and not just computer programmers) to communicate with the
media based culture of American politics. This is a large part of the new media revolution that was
created during the rise of Internet interacting during the early 2000s.
The Internet not only provided a platform of new media through website access, but it confirmed ta
much faster response between individuals communicating through website interaction. The increased
speed of email communications and chat room access provided a more democratic response to current
issues in the modern mass media. In this manner, individuals using chat rooms or email could send
information much quicker, which outmoded the need for snail mail correspondences and the need for
reading newspapers. This form of Internet interaction could vastly increase the availability of

Analysis Of Remember The Titans
Spots is one of the most well known activities of all time. Sports provide entertainment for fans and
help keep a healthy life and they are not just healthy but they impact our lives in ways that help us in
the near future such as cooperation, dedication and leadership in which we need in life to succeed.
Many more traits and lifelong lessons can come with being a part of a team. The movie Remember the
titans is a good example of a team which you can learn a lot from and will not learn anywhere else.

Essay Internal Supplies by Kamp Motors
Case Study: Internal Supplies by Kamp Motors
CASE:
Involves two companies namely:
1. Vecu â–ª A French company that produces cars, Lorries, buses and agricultural machinery.
2. Kamp â–ª One of Vecu s subsidiaries â–ª An International leader in the field of engine production â–ª
Develops racing car engines for many years
Kamp produces four main types of car engines
Type 1 conventional type / sells externally
Type 2, 3 4 high tech types / sell internally
Financial Data on Kamp Motors 2001 (x €1 million)
Sales = 361
External Cost = 204
Staff = 98
Depreciation = 20
An important order in 2002 (Develop Type 2A engine)

Variable cost per unit = 2500
Full cost per unit = ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my own opinion the transfer price that Kamp should insist on for the Type 2A engine now is €3450
per unit. This is using the principle of the minimum transfer price which is the variable cost plus the
profit if it sells its engines externally then adds the cost of €200 of developing the Type 2A engine.
However in the future the price may increase because fixed cost will be added as capacity may
become a problem with the expected rise of demand for cars and engines, and also if Kamp is allowed
to sell externally the type 2, 3, and 4 engines, so the price in the future should be €4750.
The proposed transfer price now is also lower than the expected prices from Black and FER so it
should not be a problem with Guy Mercier who is pressuring Kamp to sell the engine at a reasonable
price so that he can raise profit and bonus for his division.
Problem No. 2
Please discuss the possibilities of increasing Kamp s profit by using the formula for basic cost per unit
and by reorganizing. Please use a concrete example to indicate how the board of Kamp can manipulate
the unit costs for the types 2, 3, and 4 by reorganizing its cost information system. How, do you think,
can the boards of the Vecu concern and the MB division determine whether Kamp manipulates data on
unit costs?
Answer:
Kamp usually supply 4 types of engines, type 2, 3

Design Nosql Systems For Data Persisence And...
Introduction
This report basically describes the process of design NoSQL systems for data persisence and
implementation of design and the solution of tasks that we are required. The dataset we worked with is
a music dataset from lastfm and the designs for MongoDB, HBase and Neo4j are based on the dataset
features and given queries. The implementation includes creating databases, setting up the schema and
running queries, followed by testing the performance. There are also iteration designs for each system
in order to gain higher performance.
The report contains five sections. A brief introduciton is showing here and each system has two
sections to demonstrate the schema and query design. At the end of the report, a section for ... Show

Schema2 is consist of three collections : UserArtistInfo , Friends , and Artist . UserArtistInfo
collection has fields of UserID, ArtistID, ArtistName, Weight, Tag YN, TagId, TagValue, TimeStamp
and does not structured as a embedded document. Like a RDBMS, each row has independent
information of a user artist weight tag which is easier to update and read. Artist collection is set aside
due to its rare usage. Friends collection is also created separately to be linked (joined) when it needs to
be.
The data structure of schema 1 and schema 2 are same as below Figure3.

Query Design
The given 8 queries can be distinctively divided into two parts: one needs a join function with 2
collections, while another needs not. As query 1, 7, 8 requires user friends relationship, it needs join
function executed by join aggregation commands ($lookup). On the other hand, the other queries
(2,3,4,5,6) can be carried out by using only UserArtistInfo collection. Furthermore, simple queries
such as query 2 and 4 does not necessarily need aggregation pipeline, in the mean while query
1,3,5,6,7,8 need aggregation pipeline which is more complex using the syntax of $lookup , $unwind ,
$match , $group , $project , $sort , and $limit .

it will only overflow and will not have anywhere else to go.
Close system: If the reactants are mixed then the mass of the remaining products will change because
some of the mass will be going to be the balloon causing it to inflate.

A: Chemical reaction procedure 2: The evidence that a chemical reaction was occurring was there was

and you cannot reverse that.
3. Q: How did the final mass of the system compare with the initial mass of the system for each

A: Procedure 1: The final mass and initial mass from procedure 1, the numbers were very close to

used their equipment s properly and did not cause any human error sources. There was one outlier

Summary Of Saints By Nancy Scheper-Hughes
The typical Irish personality as seen through the ethnography of Nancy Scheper Hughes is similar
among the Irish population. The reason we see these similar traits among the Irish population is
because of the hardships that the people go through as they are raised from children to adults. Ireland
is known for their high rates of diagnosed mental illness. Through the author s fieldwork we are able
to learn about the personality traits found among the Irish. Nancy Scheper Hughes states that, the
Republic of Ireland has the highest hospitalization treatment rate for mental illness in the world
(Scheper Hughes 60). The book titled, Saints, Scholars, and Schizophrenics Mental Illness in Rural
Ireland, talks about the mental illness Schizophrenia and mentions reasons why the Irish population
has been diagnosed with so many cases. Scheper Hughes observes, Schizophrenia is the core problem
more than half of the patients are so diagnosed (Scheper Hughes 60). The reason behind these
diagnosed mental illnesses has a lot to do with the way the Irish are raised. Most of the Irish
population is raised in a similar way, which does not allow them to make decisions for themselves.
There are certain social and cultural values that Irish parents place upon their children, which may be
the reason why there are so many cases of mental illness seen throughout Ireland. One reason that may
affect these children is the pressure put on them by parents. In Irish culture at least one

The Beauty Of Computer Science And Computer Engineering
Introduction:
Ever since I was a grade schooler, I enjoyed experimenting with Linux terminal coding and
programming on my computer. I can t forget the very first moment that a simple program I developed

that even with the numerous innovations in the field, there does exist plenty of room for improvement.
Watching and following the latest trends in the area of embedded systems, robotics, security and other

with a big rock in the middle and sand around it. It was really simple but had so much meaning to it. I
was pleased on how the staffs showed us around and treated us. They were interested on how we liked
and didn t like the art there. There were so much fancy art there but one caught my eyes. Which was
the picture of the flying babies. They told me the flying babies had the power to heal and to do good in
the world. When the battles came they would sent them after all the soldiers needed help. If I had the
power to heal people or myself that s what I would do. I also got to see the very old coins collections.
I got to see a very special thing which was butterflies and moths on the wall. There were probably
about thousand of each butterfly and moths. They were made of metal it was very unique. There was
another special room we got to go in which was called the flashing lights. It was amazing and
gorgeous. It was blacked out and it was like a maze in the dark. For a few seconds some lights would

Miseducation Of Laurry Hill Analysis

consultant. When growing up, Hill was always enamored by the arts and would compete in singing
competitions. After the age of 13, she met Pras Michel and Wyclef Jean , and the three formed the
band called the Fugees. The band would later go on to sell millions of album copies for the album The

standards in order to be deemed beautiful by societal standards. With the line come again Hill is trying
to challenge women to be more than sexual objects and that women should remove the inorganic
beauty products. In Doo Wop, Hill tells men and women to avoid societal pressures and become
independent. For the track Doo Wop, the song starts with a piano, a deep bass, and a simple hip hop
beat. This sound sets the tone for the rest of the song because it intertwines classical, soul, and R B
music together. The intertwining of the different beats meshes well with the acapella style of singing
Hill uses in the song causing an earthy feel to the song. The vocals in the song are loud and powerful
which helps communicates the theme of self respect and

Enemy Combatants Scenarios
The war on terror has brought about much facets of democracy. The role of democratic principles
plays an important aspect in the way that individuals are treated. There are ongoing debates over the
constitutional right of non citizens and citizens traveling abroad. The supreme court has not suggested
that US citizens arrested within the United States be treated any differently because he was suspected
of being a terrorist or suspected of such. The process that I chose to discuss is the enemy combatant.
An enemy combatant is individuals arrested in the United States as terrorism suspects and held for an
unspecified amount of time incommunicado without charges, trial or even access to counsel. Enemy
combatants are also rendered bureaucratic rights by the courts (Article 5 of the Third Geneva
Convention). Their due process and the right to a fair trial has been regulated to a place where laws of
war and constitution are upheld. Lack of a trial by jury deprives a defendant of the rights to face a jury
of their peers, cross examine the evidence that is held against them, and assistance of counsel as
expressed in the Sixth Amendment.

Father Of Confederation Research Paper
Who is a father, and more importantly, who is a Father of Confederation? A
Father, in a literal definition, is a man who gives care and protection to someone or something. George
Washington was such a man, responsible for his patriots in the fight against the British during the
American Revolution. Confederation, on the other hand, is when a group of people come together in a
coalition, or fight, while working together for a common cause. The lower class in France came
together in the French Revolution to fight against Louis XVI, and his intolerance towards them.
Therefore, Father of
Confederation must mean a man who brings people together to fight for a common cause. There exists

One of the main parts that allows a country to function as a united whole is transportation, especially a
railway. John A. Macdonald wanted to construct a railway from coast to coast, as part of his National
dream to create a unified Canada. This railway would allow the transportation of goods and people
across his great nation. Once again in 1885, friction broke out between the Metis and the Canadian
government. And now, with Louis Riel back in Canada, extra strain was added on the already hard to

the railway constructors to build as much of the railway as they can, to get troops in Manitoba as fast
as possible. Macdonald even devised his own plan for the railway. Let Louis Riel make trouble. Then
the canadian citizens would see the necessity of the railway as a need for the national security of the
country, and using government money to finish the railway would be acceptable. Louis Riel, whether
he realized it or not, sped up the completion of the railway, to the point that with the help of other
people, it was finished in November of 1885;

we tested the viability of the zoospores, sporangia and biofilm associated cells in the presence of
different concentrations of methyl chavicol, curcumin, allicin and 6 gingerol. Plant extracts have been
used to treat different microbial diseases of humans, animals and plants for decades. Methyl chavicol
is not soluble in water; instead it is highly soluble in ethanol and DMSO. Ethanol and DMSO both kill

Analysis Of Man On The Moon
Man On the Moon
When man first walked on the moon it was a very big accomplishment for mankind especially the
U.S.A., many people wrote articles or simply talked about and shared their opinions on this huge
accomplishment. In the text that appeared on Times magazine titled, Man Takes First Steps on the
Moon , one can see how much of an accomplishment it was for the U.S and many other people to have
been able to walk on the moon. In the text ethos and logos are used a few times to be able to make a
more possibly effective text on people reading the article and be able to show how much of a huge
deal this was for mankind. The following sentence is the first sentence in the paragraph which says a
lot about what the text is going to go towards, Neil Armstrong became the first man to take a walk on
the moon s surface early today. , seeing that the first sentence is about how a man walked on the moon
it shows most likely the rest of the text will be based around or on this man s actions. The next
sentence shows how many people including the president and pope expressed how it was a huge
accomplishment for mankind for a man to walk on the moon and make it back to Earth safely, At

Introduction to Prokaryotes Lab Report
Introduction to Prokaryotes in Different Temperature Environments
Angelina Orozco
Biology 1108

Abstract
Prokaryotes are single celled organisms that can survive in extreme environments. Bacteria is the
more numerous type of prokaryotes. The group hypothesizes that the samples taken from different
environments will all cultivate diverse morphology in fast growing rates in each environment. The
aseptic technique was used to cultivate bacteria from different environments. The diversity of
morphology and the growing rate of the bacteria was different in each environment.
Introduction
Prokaryotes are the oldest known life forms, having existed for the last 3.5 billion years. Microscopic
in size, they are single celled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Every environment sample had its own growth rate and bacteria diversity. The primary reason may be
that conditions are rarely optimum. Scientists who study bacteria try to create the optimum
environment in the lab: culture medium with the necessary energy source, nutrients, pH, and
temperature, in which bacteria grow predictably. Most of the strains used in the classroom either
require oxygen for growth or grow better with oxygen. These bacteria will grow better on agar plates,
where air readily diffuses into the bacterial colony, or in liquid cultures that are shaken. Since
diffusion of oxygen into liquid depends on the surface area, it is important to have a large surface;
volume ratio. This means that cultures will grow best in flasks in which the volume of liquid is small
relative to the size of the vessel. Also another factor that affects growth is the nutritional medium.
Bacteria grow best when optimal amounts of nutrients are provided.

The Ieee On Indoor Li Fi Systems
White Paper to the IEEE on Indoor Li Fi Systems
Matthew Fultz
ENGH 302
Due: 12/8/2016
Introduction
In 2011, Herald Haas gave a Ted talk on light fidelity (Li Fi) and demonstrated a functional Li Fi
system and spoke of the future of telecommunications (Haas, Harald). His lecture sparked a wave of
research on bidirectional Li Fi that has given renewed hope for the internet of things (IoT). Kevin
Ashton, an MIT graduate, first introduced the IoT when he gave a presentation on the goal in 1999
(Davenport, Thomas). Herald Haas, who is now owns a Li Fi company called pureLiFi, asserts that
every luminaire in a trafficked area will serve as an access point (AP) for user devices (UD)(Haas,
Harald). Since 2011, we have done a research on how to best implement Li Fi, but there is still much
research to be done. With the tight congestion in the RF spectrum, we are forced to look for other
wireless solutions. There are a few solutions, such as WiGig, but Li Fi has emerged as the fastest
means of bidirectionally wirelessly transmitting information. There are many advantages and many
drawbacks, but the more research we conduct, the closer we get to making Li Fi a widespread
technology.
The implementation of light fidelity (Li Fi) is the next step towards a world characterized by the
Internet of Things (IoT) because it will enable faster communication, release pressure off of the RF
spectrum, and increase network security. Li Fi, like WiFi,

U.s. Presidential Election On The United States
There will be a U.S. presidential election on November 8, 2016. Whether you identify as a
Republican, a Democrat, or somewhere in between, there is no denying that Donald Trump and
Hillary Clinton are two highly controversial candidates. While it is difficult to tell where most
Americans stand on the election issue, it is easy to see that ancient Chinese Legalist thinkers would be
staunch supporters of Donald Trump. Legalist ideas seem to be the foundation upon which Trump s
Republican Party was built. Even Trump s slogan, Make America Great Again, is echoed in the
Legalist notion of becoming a strong country with impenetrable borders. Though I, along with many
Americans, disagree with Trump on many points, his tax and welfare policies seem to be based on
logic, especially in the context of Chinese history. However, America is not ready for a president who
has illustrated such a flagrant disregard for the law. Just as the Legalist regime in China was short
lived, so should be Trump s time in the limelight.
Han Feizi and Shang Yang, Legalist thinkers in ancient China, would vote for Donald Trump in the
upcoming election. While Feizi, Yang, and Trump agree on many fundamental points, taxation and
welfare policy are the most significant. Feizi stated in his teachings, now if the ruler levies money
from the rich in order to give alms to the poor, he is robbing the diligent and frugal and indulging the

The Characteristics Of The School Approach By A German...
Bureaucracy
The principle of bureaucracy was propounded by a German sociologist by the name Max Weber in the
19th century. According to his study, bureaucracy is a formal system of organization and
administration, which is designed to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in organizing (Shafritz, Ott
Jang, 2015). Weber characterized bureaucracy as having a hierarchy or order of authority with explicit
rules, a clear division of labor, and impersonality. He emphasized that everything within a hierarchy
exists with an aim to achieve a similar goal. Nevertheless, bureaucracies are found at the federal, state,
county levels of government, and even at large companies for proper management and organization. In
fact, individuals who work for government agencies from the strategic managers to the subordinate are
called bureaucrats. However, most of the schools are bureaucratic as they follow the basic principles
of bureaucracy as illustrated below.
Schools have formal hierarchical structure, which is the first characteristics of bureaucracy. In a
hierarchical structure, each level controls the level below it, while it also gets orders from the level
above it (Shafritz, Ott Jang, 2015). In a school setting, the organization of the staffs inclusive of the
teachers and the board of governors is hierarchical, where, high officer controls lower position holders
(Ballantine Hammack, 2015). For instance, the school principle controls the teaching subordinates,
and the teaching staffs

Essay on Expansion of the First Sound of the Future is...
Expansion of the First Sound of the Future Everyone loves music! Except deaf people. Though if a
loyal fan were to hear a confession from their favorite artist that they are in fact, not human but
instead, synthesizer paired with a hologram, then how will he react? Will he still listen to the artist s
music, or feel betrayed? Is anything wrong at all?
An example of this is Miku Hatsune: a Japanese teal haired, slender 16 year old girl designed by artist
KEI who sings her fans songs in a high pitched voice. Her name literally meaning first sound of the
future . Though she has never lied about her identity, she is no human. Miku Hatsune is a mascot
created by Crypton Future Media in 2007 for a voicebank run by the Yamaha VOCALOID2 ... Show

Out of all the instruments in the world, the human voice is the most difficult for a computer to imitate
since it is so complex. However that is just what the average person thinks. During Miku s Live Party
39s Live in Tokyo concert, just when the girl steps out on stage to sing When the First Love Ends , she
turns away teary eyed trying to compose herself. The crowd went nuts! Fans cry over depressing
songs such as Servant of Evil , Paper Plane , and Kokoro which are all sung by the Kagamine twins
who are infamous within the fandom for dying in many songs. Perhaps what those people, who
disapprove of VOCALOID for being fake, are afraid of is that robots are gonna take over the world .
A human singer could feel threatened by the technology, fearing that they will be replaced. Aoi, the
guitarist and backing vocals of the Japanese Visual Kei band, the Gazette, expresses his dismay.
Tokyohive writes:
Aoi tweeted on November 14th that he wasn t too thrilled about how listeners and magazines treat
animated singers as real [artistic] works. He does admit that the technology behind the software is
amazing, but if that is considered music, then what is the point in us making music? ( us is most likely
referring to his band and/or every band out there). I could go so far as to say it makes what we re

Seven Samurai And Magnificent Seven Film Analysis
Topic: Comparative analysis between Seven Samurai and Magnificent Seven
Introduction:
Seven Samurai a 1954 classic, critically acclaimed as one of the greatest films and has been a notable
reference point for reworked films of this genre. In succession with one of the more notable remakes,
the 1960 version of the Magnificent Seven, leading through to the current version in 2016. The
Magnificent Seven aired in cinema recently and was not the first time an adaptation of Seven Samurai
has been re booted. In theory, an entire text book could be written on the many adaptations and their
differences. These alterations focus on some key themes being setting, the threat, the client, the

But film sets the most helpless as the peasants, trying to make a living in the war torn world. The first
scene develops the plot by one of the peasants from the village overhearing a group of bandits
planning to raid their village for food after the barley harvest. The setting backs up the financial state
of the villagers and acts as a structural convention for the other adaptations, due to the villagers stating
they have nothing to the elder of the village that they don t have anything to pay samurai s with and he
responds with find hungry samurai , composing the key aspects that the setting is based in low income
areas. Current adaptations of the Seven Samurai, include the Magnificent Seven changed the details of
the setting but remained otherwise faithful to the original material. The Magnificent Seven was not
given a specific time period but is insinuated that it occurs during the end of the Old West in America.
Alternations in the setting are shown by the Magnificent Seven taking place in a small Mexican
village, where bandits enter the town casually taking the food and goods at their will. Ultimately this
downgrade causes a debauch in living standards for the villagers, causing them to speak up, resulting
in a farmer being shot after trying to protest and the bandit leader promised to strike again. As a result,
this then causes an elder of the village to call upon its citizens so they can

this atmosphere microscopic specks of floating debris and bacteria look more like stars and galaxies

The Boom Of The Music In The 90 s
The music has the power to connect different people in groups and it reflects how well the society is
and which are the biggest problems in our daily lives. For this, the musical themes have defined the
last decades with the main social, political and economic topics. The main purpose of this essay is to
show the relationship between the musical themes and the social facts for the last three decades. The
boom of the music in the 90 s had as the central topic the creation of new ideologies, Michael Jackson
with his single We are the world , talks about how the people connects with others, no matter how
long we are from each other. Shania Twain had a boom in the middle 90 s, a pop country singer that
supports the idea of gender equity, she established the genre of independent woman in her songs.
Groups like Nirvana established the idea of revolution, encouraging the society to end with the
political system with singles such as Smells like teen spirit , in which Nirvana explains how the
teenagers are enclosed by the rules of society and the extreme desire to be free or

How Does Shakespeare Present Iago s Perception In Othello
William Shakespeare uses Othello to citizen society perception by showing problems with race,
jealousy, trust, and revenge. In the marriage between Desdemona, the beautiful Venetian girl, and a
veritable Negro, the main character, this is Othello. He sees Shakespeare s transformation of a
barbarous negro into a respected soldier and nobleman of stature as ignorant, since at the time, African
Americans were not known as nothing except as slaves. The bond between Othello and his wife was
strong enough to not care what others thought about their relationship. Of course this made a
tremendous amount of people/characters upset and flustered because of the marriage and the
difference in Desdemona and Othello race. Othello s intended ethnicity ... Show more content on

in Othello we meet a man of great dignity and refinement who is gradually undone. (Coles 4). almost
everyone in society goes through some type of form of alienation and did Othello even in the 17th
century. race, phycology and barbarism are discussed and betrayal in the violence in the tragedy of
Othello. (feather 240). African Americans were taken from their homelands and were forced into the
English society and was looked down on badly. but eventually African Americans were excepted in
this society but were often called names like the moor . When the Green eyed monster gets out of
control, it becomes a destructive syndrome obsessive jealously. (Lord86). when it comes down to the
death of Desdemona some say Othello is responsible for her death, but also some say Iago is, and
some say both are. therefore at the end of the tragedy Othello realized he was wrong for what he had
done, he had the wrong mindset of satisfaction. he thought what he did would satisfy him, instead it
was something that had destroyed him, inside and out. the thing of revenge and satisfaction brings a
knot of inevitable preoccupations ( Phillips 54). satisfaction is linked to revenge. these things are so

Anti Doping Negatives
The purpose of this report is to outline how WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) and ASADA
(Australian Sport Anti Doping Authority, 2017) outline the positives and negatives of anti doping and
how these affect the players and stakeholders. Another point that will be discussed is how these
policies work and if they can be change. Doping is when athletes take performance enhancing drugs in
order to become better at their sport. Doping was first used by the ancient romans in gladiator sports.
(Harvard, 2017 Oct 9) The term doping comes from the Dutch word dop , which was an alcoholic
beverage used by South African Zulu warriors (Harvard, 2017 Oct 9) Doping is becoming more wide
spread due to the fact that athletes want to be better than everyone else. Money is playing a huge
reason in why people are doping. More sponsors more money. So once one person starts doping
another person will. Just so they can be the best at their particular sport. Some examples of substances
that are used include steroids which increases your testosterone will give you muscle growth,
endurance and your performance more, blood doping which is less common but manly used in cycling
is when you boost the amount of red blood cells in your system so it carry s more oxygen to your
muscles, analgesics are used to relieve pain when you are injured which enables you to train while
injured so you stay fit and healthy. (Reuters Kelland, K. (2017) These are just some examples of
doping. There are over 200

Catcher In The Rye Arguments
The Catcher in the Rye The Catcher in the Rye is taught in english classrooms all over the country.
However, its crudeness was looked down upon by many parents that resulted in the frequent request to
ban the book from being taught. J.D. Salinger s The Catcher in the Rye is one of the greatest works of
literature, but was also very controversial. The Catcher in the Rye tells the story of Holden Caulfield, a
teenager facing psychological trouble. Expelled from his school at 16, he goes on a journey to New
York City ( Who Banned Catcher in the Rye and Why? ). Salinger s novel set as part of the curriculum
in schools has been challenged by people who oppose the use of swearwords and its sexual content.
The work contains several disturbing scenes that include instances of abuse, and slang ( Banned from
the classroom: Censorship and The Catcher in the Rye. ). Holden Caulfield is the main character of the
novel The Catcher in the Rye, where he is characterized as a rebellious teenager growing up in the
1950 s. He had recently gotten expelled once again and decided to face his problem by escaping to
New York before the school year ended, and then return to back home to face his punishment (Banned
Book: The Catcher in the Rye.). As the story continues, the reader is shown his experience and
thoughts, most of which can seem inappropriate to an immature audience. He faces occasions of
nervous breakdowns, depression, and impulsive spending. Holden is such that of any teenager in

4.1 Performance Indicators are quantifiable measurements, agreed to beforehand, that reflect the
critical success factors of an organization. They will differ depending on the organization.
Whatever Performance Indicators are selected, they must reflect the organization s goals, they must be
key to its success and they must be quantifiable (measurable). Performance Indicators usually are long
term considerations. The definition of what they are and how they are measured do not change often.
The goals for a particular Performance Indicator may change as the organization s goals change, or as

Examining documentation such as case notes using an established tool such as the NMC guidance or

This spot checking allows you to view employees everyday behavior, which may differ from

Speak with clients regarding satisfaction. This gives the organisation another viewpoint to measure
overall performance. A smiling face doesn t always translate into acceptable work practices. Including
comment cards and setting up phone surveys can give customers an opportunity to address issues or
give praise very important for employees to perceive performance management as a way of
acknowledging when their performance meets or exceeds established targets. Using this type of
analysis can help ensure the organisation has a complete picture of employee performance. Colleagues
can be asked to complete peer reviews, frequently referred to as 360 degree appraisal. Knowing how
well employees interact with peers can help measure work ethic and professionalism. It can also help
identify problems but also identity employees with potential for leading new developments or to be

I know this because in the story it stats, The way you grow old is kind of like a onion or like the rings inside a tree trunk or like my little wooden dolls that fit inside the other. This shows that the author used similes to show the voice of Rachel, in the smilie it is showing that she is comparing how people grow, to Onions, Inside a tree trunk, And her little wooden dolls. David Sedaris Us And Them Us and Them What if you moved into a seemingly normal house in a seemingly normal street, with seemingly normal neighbors, except for your neighbors across the street: the Tomkeys. A deranged family that communicates and does God knows what on their boat together. They are always reading and doing unheard of things like playing board games as a family. But the scariest thing about this family is they don t own a television. In David Sedaris s memoir Us and Them he writes about his experience as a adolescent moving house to house, living a boring life, till motherly gossip leaks that the Tomkey family does not own a T.V.. Young Sedaris finds himself growing more and more curious about this family going to the extent of watching them from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If he did decide to use logos he could have added facts or statistics about how often the average family has a sit down meal together. However his tactic in writing this was not to use facts and blatantly point out the error of modern society, it was to go about making the reader laugh. Allowing the reader to discover the problem by his or her self and applying it to their own life. The idea that humans go about finding ways to detract themselves like in the last paragraphing when Sedaris goes around facing his problem by allowing his thoughts to wonder: This stagecoach, for instance, coming round the bend with a cargo of gold. This shiny new Mustang convertible. This teenage girl, her hair a beautiful mane, sipping Pepsi through a straw, one picture after another, on and on until the news, and whatever came on after the news, (p. 17).By giving the reader time to connect his story to their own personal experience he gets his message across but makes it enjoyable and something to be remembered. Hedging at General Motors Essay Executive Summary Being one of the largest automakers in the world, General Motors (GM) undertakes its manufacturing operations in over 30 countries with vehicles being sold in over 200 countries. Through undertaking its international operations it also subjects itself to various types of foreign exchange exposures due to fluctuations in the values of currencies; to manage this problem it has adopted a passive hedging policy and aims to reduce the impact of foreign exchange exposures on the business. The first part of this report outlines the various types of foreign exchange exposures that GM can subject itself to and also outlines what methods can be used to reduce the risk associated with changes in the value of currencies; the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Using Financial Instruments to Hedge Hedging through the use of financial instruments is whereby instruments such as forwards, options and money markets are used to manage the risk of foreign exchange exposure. Forward Hedges are where a contractual obligation exists regarding the buying or selling of a currency at a specified fixed future rate on a specified future date. It requires a source of funds (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). Option Hedges are a right not an obligation to buy or sell a specified currency at a specific rate on a specified future date. It allows for speculation on the upside while still limiting the loss (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). Money Market Hedges is another method, this contract is a loan agreement whereby a firm borrows in one currency and exchanges the proceeds in another currency (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). Natural Hedging This type of hedging is whereby foreign exchange exposures in outflows of cash are offset by inflows of cash through matching of transactions (i.e. Revenues and Expenses). Natural hedging focuses on operating cash flows; for example a receivable is offset by a payable in the same currency without the use of financial instruments, this however requires consideration of synchronising values of the cash flow and timing of the cash flows (Eiteman, Stonehill and Moffett, 2010). • 7. Questions On Initial Reactions And How It Can Your Views... 1. What were your initial reactions to how this group is set up? How have your views changed at this point, if at all? I believe for me my initial reactions to how this group was set up is that everyone is in the same boat. By that I mean nobody (except for the professor) knew what to expect or what could happen. As I recall one of the initial conversations started at the beginning of the first class was about a complaint regarding smoking. This seemed to me a half hazard attempt at starting an easy conversation, but gave little in the way of development of group interaction. This was more of a vent and didn t strive to develop relationships within the group but rather express a baseline opinion on what was annoying them that day. We saw that again in this last class when the first initial conversation had to do with issues about parking. I have noticed a definite change as time has progressed in how much information people appear to be giving out. My hopes for this class is that we can avoid going turning this into a complaint forum and get into the grit of each other s personal lives. Discussing things like deepest fears, or worse things that have happened to individuals and how they coped with them would be more in line with what I would hope to expect from this group. My views are that the group is slowly opening up, but in a class that only meets once a week it is not moving fast enough. 2. What is one quality of communication in our group, if any, that you would like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Ratio Analysis On Market Value Ratio analysis on Market value The market value of a leased vehicle is normally lower than the residual value. The residual value of a leased vehicle is adjusted downward towards carrying the value during the lease end that approximates the estimated end of term market value. During the quarterly periods, TMCC reviews the estimated end of term market values of a leased vehicle to assess the aptness of carrying the values. Thus, the factors affecting the estimated end of term market value is somewhat similar to the evaluation considered for the residual value. The contract maturity of the leased vehicle is less than its contractual residual value however; there is a higher probability for a vehicle to be returned. In addition, the higher the market supply of certain models of used vehicles cans ultimately lowering a relative level of demand. For example, the loss of severity during the end of term market value is less than the estimated residual value that is established during lease inception. Thus, the depreciation expense is recorded in order to provide a straight line of information to determine the depreciable basis of the leased vehicle. Return on Equity (ROE) TMCC equity price risks are related to its investments and equity mutual funds are included within the investment portfolio. I can almost picture Kandinsky s brush moving around the painting in quick, swooping motions. The linear design of the painting is clear with the vertical and horizontal, fine lines painted as squares. Without a doubt, the all at onceness of the painting is created by the color. Kandinsky used such a wide range of color techniques that when I close my eyes upon viewing the painting, the image is still present. The colors are bright primary and secondary colors mixed with more earthy hues. The two overlapping circles on the bottom left are made evident by the low value of the green mixing with the saturated red to create almost a black. The contrast created by the black and yellow square touching is eye catching. The gradation in the upper left square is evident by the continuous changes from the swirl surrounding the circle. It changes from yellow to green, then to blue and back to yellow! Can you feel the excitement in my description? This is what the painting makes me feel while participating. Despite the sectioned off circles and squares, the painting demonstrates unity. That is, the painting forms togetherness, despite contrasts of details and regions. The color also helps define the depth. As depth was clearly seen in Nighthawks, the depth of Colour Studie is not as readily evident. Look at the bottom left square. The circle seems somewhat flat. Now view the upper left square. It gives the feeling of protrusion. It seems as if the circle is popping out of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His character in this book is very complex. Although the Opera Ghost is very ugly physically and mentally, through his actions, we can find much beauty. During the masked ball we are given, what the reader believes at the time, a very good physical description of the Opera Ghost. At the masked ball the Opera Ghost does a perfect job imitating death. A voice that unites all extremes at once, (103), Raoul tells, without knowing of the ugliness of the character from which it comes. Raoul continues to praise the voice as, heroically sweet..., so delicate in strength, so strong in delicacy, and so irresistibly triumphant,(103). This clearly shows that, without knowing the physical ugliness of the Opera Ghost, a body could enjoy his beautiful voice. Another example of Erik s beauty comes through his love of Christine. At the end of the novel the Opera Ghost is talking to the Persian. The Persians asks Erik why he decided to spare the live of himself, as well as the life of his enemy, Viscount Raoul de Chagny. They say this when they are open for a pass or want the ball. The sport of lacrosse should be in the olympics. To support my position I will Give you a description of the game, the popularity of the game and finally a counterarguement that I will fight. In this paragraph I will give you a desription of the game of lacrosse. First according to the article named lacrosse the sport is played on a field 60 70 yards x 110 yards. This proves useful because it means it can be played on a soccer field that is already made. All you would have to do would be to add 5 yard extensions to each end of the field. The next reason is based on the time length of the game. According to the article titled NCAA Rules for Men s Lacrosse there is four 15 minute quarters and a 10 minute halftime with 2 minutes in between every quarter. It also has a overtime of 4 minutes but can go on longer if there is still a tie. That means it has a total time of 78 minutes including everything except the time after the overtime. Currently there is an incentive option to encourage Soldiers to extend for an additional year in Korea; this is known as the Assignment Incentive Pay (AIP) Option, where you get an additional three hundred dollars a month from the moment you sign the documents to extend until you leave the country. Although this is a nice option to have, many Soldiers and leaders still choose not to stay any longer than their one year obligation. As I see it the only way to get Soldiers and leaders to stay is to make them stay. To develop a proper way ahead and remain flexible to change as needed throughout the process, Kotter s eight step approach to change would allow for a good strategy rather than plan to allow for the Army to accomplish this mission. The first step on Kotter s approach is to develop a sense of urgency; just like most things in life, if you re not being pushed by someone of something to accomplish a task than you will wait and it may not get done to standard or at all. Step one, I would decide on a date that we would start implementing the normal accompanied tour and send out a MILPER message across the entire force to all active duty personnel s email. I would stress that we are transitioning back to the longer tour to enhance readiness and detour any aggressions from North Korea. How Does Puberty Blues Relate To Australian Culture Australian Soap operas are defined as television programs, which reflect on cultures and different societies through the lives and problems of a particular group of characters. Puberty Blues is a television program, which is directed by Bruce Beresford. Puberty blues strongly conveys Australian culture and society through the use of Australian languages, beach culture, customs and etiquette and through the way that Australians are represented to different audiences. Puberty Blues was set in the 1970 s and is based on two girls growing up as teenagers in a small coastal town named Cronulla in Sydney, Australia. • 19. CEP55 Essay CEP55 plays a critical role for precise midbody assembly as CEP55 depleted cells exhibited an abnormal midbody structure that lacked visible midbody under light microscope [220]. They also demonstrated the interaction of CEP55 with an orchestra of structural and regulatory proteins essential for accomplishment of cytokinesis. These proteins include Aurora B, MKLP2, PRC1, ECT2, Anillin and Syntaxin 2 which are recruited to the midbody thus implying the importance of CEP55 being indispensable for midbody structure maintenance [220]. Further characterization is required to discriminate the role of CEP55 being direct (facilitates actual abscission) or indirect (regulates recruitment of vesicular trafficking proteins) in cytokinesis. 1.7.4 The structure of CEP55 and ESCRT complex at the midbody As discussed previously, CEP55 forms a complex with ALIX and TSG101 at the midbody to recruit ESCRT machinery to the midbody for facilitating membrane fission events required to assist separation of two daughter cells [212, 223]. Among many other ESCRT complexes (such as 0, I, II and III), ESCRT III plays critical role in regulating cytokinesis as it forms long filamentous structures to allow construction of constriction site [195, 212, 223]. In context to CEP55, ALIX enables recruitment of ESCRT III whereas TSG101 allows conscription of ESCRT I initially which in turn recruits ESCRT III (Figure 1.11B) [212, 223]. CEP55, like other centrosomal proteins is a highly coiled coil protein and is known to exist as a homodimer [218]. Initially, Morita et al. demonstrated that CEP55 is comprised of two coiled coil region joined by a hinge region that enabled binding of ALIX and TSG101 [223]. However, Lee et al. demonstrated that the hinge region is part of the coiled coil region with the probability of being a continuation of N terminal domain (Figure 1.11B) [196]. • 20. Interpersonal Democratization Of New Media In The 21st... This media study will define the cultural revolution of the Internet and the interpersonal democratization of new media in the 21st century. The expansion of the Internet in the 2000s defines a new era of greater democratization of social interactions that were not possible through the use of the TV and Radio. In the 20th century, the power of TV and Radio did not provide an interactive platform in which people could share information in a democratic way. The increase use of social networking websites, such as Facebook, MySpace, and other social networks provided individuals with a new way to share ideas outside of outmoded mediums in the new media. Virtually every major party candidate for state and national office had an interactive website as did most Democratic and Republican Party committees from the nation and state down to the counties and cities of metropolitan areas (Margolis Moreno Riaño, 2016, p.138). In this context, the cultural revolution of the Internet made it possible for citizens to contact their political representative through email and other mediums of interpersonal exchanges, such as text based chat rooms, in this democratic format. This is an important aspect of Internet access, which made is possible for ordinary citizens (and not just computer programmers) to communicate with the media based culture of American politics. This is a large part of the new media revolution that was created during the rise of Internet interacting during the early 2000s. The Internet not only provided a platform of new media through website access, but it confirmed ta much faster response between individuals communicating through website interaction. The increased speed of email communications and chat room access provided a more democratic response to current issues in the modern mass media. This is using the principle of the minimum transfer price which is the variable cost plus the profit if it sells its engines externally then adds the cost of €200 of developing the Type 2A engine. However in the future the price may increase because fixed cost will be added as capacity may become a problem with the expected rise of demand for cars and engines, and also if Kamp is allowed to sell externally the type 2, 3, and 4 engines, so the price in the future should be €4750. The proposed transfer price now is also lower than the expected prices from Black and FER so it should not be a problem with Guy Mercier who is pressuring Kamp to sell the engine at a reasonable price so that he can raise profit and bonus for his division. Ireland is known for their high rates of diagnosed mental illness. Through the author s fieldwork we are able to learn about the personality traits found among the Irish. Nancy Scheper Hughes states that, the Republic of Ireland has the highest hospitalization treatment rate for mental illness in the world (Scheper Hughes 60). Scheper Hughes observes, Schizophrenia is the core problem more than half of the patients are so diagnosed (Scheper Hughes 60). The reason behind these diagnosed mental illnesses has a lot to do with the way the Irish are raised. Most of the Irish population is raised in a similar way, which does not allow them to make decisions for themselves. There are certain social and cultural values that Irish parents place upon their children, which may be the reason why there are so many cases of mental illness seen throughout Ireland. Every environment sample had its own growth rate and bacteria diversity. The primary reason may be that conditions are rarely optimum. Scientists who study bacteria try to create the optimum environment in the lab: culture medium with the necessary energy source, nutrients, pH, and temperature, in which bacteria grow predictably. Most of the strains used in the classroom either require oxygen for growth or grow better with oxygen. These bacteria will grow better on agar plates, where air readily diffuses into the bacterial colony, or in liquid cultures that are shaken. Since diffusion of oxygen into liquid depends on the surface area, it is important to have a large surface; volume ratio. This means that cultures will grow best in flasks in which the volume of liquid is small relative to the size of the vessel. Also another factor that affects growth is the nutritional medium. Bacteria grow best when optimal amounts of nutrients are provided. The Ieee On Indoor Li Fi Systems White Paper to the IEEE on Indoor Li Fi Systems Matthew Fultz ENGH 302 Due: 12/8/2016 Introduction In 2011, Herald Haas gave a Ted talk on light fidelity (Li Fi) and demonstrated a functional Li Fi system and spoke of the future of telecommunications (Haas, Harald). His lecture sparked a wave of research on bidirectional Li Fi that has given renewed hope for the internet of things (IoT). Kevin Ashton, an MIT graduate, first introduced the IoT when he gave a presentation on the goal in 1999 (Davenport, Thomas). Herald Haas, who is now owns a Li Fi company called pureLiFi, asserts that every luminaire in a trafficked area will serve as an access point (AP) for user devices (UD)(Haas, Harald). Since 2011, we have done a research on how to best implement Li Fi, but there is still much research to be done. With the tight congestion in the RF spectrum, we are forced to look for other wireless solutions. There are a few solutions, such as WiGig, but Li Fi has emerged as the fastest means of bidirectionally wirelessly transmitting information. There are many advantages and many drawbacks, but the more research we conduct, the closer we get to making Li Fi a widespread technology. The implementation of light fidelity (Li Fi) is the next step towards a world characterized by the Internet of Things (IoT) because it will enable faster communication, release pressure off of the RF spectrum, and increase network security. Li Fi, like WiFi, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. U.s. Presidential Election On The United States There will be a U.S. presidential election on November 8, 2016. Whether you identify as a Republican, a Democrat, or somewhere in between, there is no denying that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are two highly controversial candidates. While it is difficult to tell where most Americans stand on the election issue, it is easy to see that ancient Chinese Legalist thinkers would be staunch supporters of Donald Trump. Legalist ideas seem to be the foundation upon which Trump s Republican Party was built. Even Trump s slogan, Make America Great Again, is echoed in the Legalist notion of becoming a strong country with impenetrable borders. Though I, along with many Americans, disagree with Trump on many points, his tax and welfare policies seem to be based on logic, especially in the context of Chinese history. However, America is not ready for a president who has illustrated such a flagrant disregard for the law. Just as the Legalist regime in China was short lived, so should be Trump s time in the limelight. Han Feizi and Shang Yang, Legalist thinkers in ancient China, would vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming election. While Feizi, Yang, and Trump agree on many fundamental points, taxation and welfare policy are the most significant. Feizi stated in his teachings, now if the ruler levies money from the rich in order to give alms to the poor, he is robbing the diligent and frugal and indulging the lazy and extravagant. If he expects by such a means to induce the people ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. The Characteristics Of The School Approach By A German... Bureaucracy The principle of bureaucracy was propounded by a German sociologist by the name Max Weber in the 19th century. According to his study, bureaucracy is a formal system of organization and administration, which is designed to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in organizing (Shafritz, Ott Jang, 2015). Weber characterized bureaucracy as having a hierarchy or order of authority with explicit rules, a clear division of labor, and impersonality. He emphasized that everything within a hierarchy exists with an aim to achieve a similar goal. Nevertheless, bureaucracies are found at the federal, state, county levels of government, and even at large companies for proper management and organization. In fact, individuals who work for government agencies from the strategic managers to the subordinate are called bureaucrats. However, most of the schools are bureaucratic as they follow the basic principles of bureaucracy as illustrated below. Schools have formal hierarchical structure, which is the first characteristics of bureaucracy. In a hierarchical structure, each level controls the level below it, while it also gets orders from the level above it (Shafritz, Ott Jang, 2015). In a school setting, the organization of the staffs inclusive of the teachers and the board of governors is hierarchical, where, high officer controls lower position holders (Ballantine Hammack, 2015). For instance, the school principle controls the teaching subordinates, and the teaching staffs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
