Lucy Norton used various media technologies in the construction, research, planning, and evaluation stages of her film project. She used her computer and the internet to research the film industry and conventions. She used her iMac computer along with iMovie editing software, a Toshiba camileo camera, YouTube, Photoshop, and Prezi/PowerPoint to make her trailer, magazine, and poster. She found iMovie and her Mac computer to be easy to use and YouTube tutorials helpful for learning Photoshop.

2. How did you use media technologies in the
construction, research, planning and evaluation
stages?
I used a computer to research into the film industry,
conventions of products and other research. I used a
computer as the internet has any websites that I knew
would be able to help me understand more about trailers,
magazines and posters. It’s the same with planning I look
at existing products to give me inspiration. I used a IMac
computer, IMovie editing software, a Toshiba camileo
x400 and YouTube to make my trailer. I used Photoshop
for both my magazine and poster, I had not used
Photoshop last year, so I hade forgotten how to use it. I
used Prezi and powerpont/slide share to present my
evaluation, which I used lasted year for AS.

4. What technology can allowed you
to achieve
Todays technology is amazing in terms of what
you can do. Anyone can make a film on a very
low budget using a flip camera and now some
computers come with free editing soft ware like
iMovie and windows movie maker. In todays
world you don’t have to be rich to be able to
make a film.

5. MAC
To complete my media products, I had to use a
Apple iMac and its range of software. I have
used a iMac before as I own one but I have only
used some of the software before. I found that
the Mac film software was easy to use and I
found lots of tutorials on YouTube to help me.

6. imovie
Imovie is a movie making software. I used Final
Cut Express when I did my Preliminary for A2
but I found it hard to use. Imovie for me is
easier to edit ,import and export. It has a wide
range of transitions, titles, effects
and superimposition. I learnt that with Imovie
you can create the same professional look as in
Final Cut but more easily. I have Imovie at home,
so I could work on my trailer at home.

7. Photoshop
I had not used Photoshop for 2 years so I had
forgotten how to use it. I had to look on
YouTube to find tutorial on how to use
photoshop. It took me a while to remember how
to use it but the YouTube videos did help.

8. Blogger
I used blogger as a way to make a timeline of my
production of my trailer, poster and magazine.
Blogger lets me correct old posts, embed videos,
images and sound. I had used used blogger
before as I used it last year for my As work, so I
had no problems with it.

9. YouTube
I used YouTube to publish my film trailer and see
what the world thought of it . I was able to
publish my video free-of-charge with a YouTube
account from which I could embed onto my
blogs as evidence. I learnt how to upload videos
to YouTube by follow the easy instructions by

10. Toshiba camileo x400
I used the Toshiba camileo x400 which is my
own camera as I know how to use it and I can
use it at any time. I had no problems with my
camera. I didn’t used school’s cameras as they
not the best quality in terms of the footage and I
can only borrow for limited time.
