b. Write three tweets and Facebook posts for the company based on each of
the news releases. In other words, as a group write one tweet and one
Facebook post for each news release. Make sure you include hashtags and
links to the news releases. Type them into this Word document. If a student
has Twitter account, publish the tweets with the hashtag #comms314.
3. Review the company’s or organization’s social media footprint on the
following platforms.
a. Their home web site… How well does it integrate social media and
blogging
b. Twitter
c. Facebook
d. YouTube
e. Pinterest

4. Use information discussed in lecture and then ask the following questions and
then give a grade.
A. Are they updated often? Would it compel you to interact with the brand(s)? How
much do they retweet versus provide original content?
B. Also evaluate the writing used on the different accounts. Is it interactive, newsy,
boring, engaging, etc…
C. Give an A, B, C, D, F grade for each platform on the chart below.
