This document provides an agenda for a workshop on using Google Apps for Education (GAFE). The morning session will introduce the Chrome browser, Google Drive, Google Classroom, and Google's core tools. After a recess and lunch break, the afternoon will focus on using Google Docs, Google's YouTube Capture tool, Google Sites, and additional Chrome Store apps, extensions and add-ons. Examples are given of sharing documents and folders in Google Drive, using Google Classroom, adding functionality through extensions, and screen capture tools. Non-core Google apps like Realtimeboard and Google Sites are also briefly mentioned.

● sharing settings; give permission for users to edit, comment or view
● create content and set as a template or publish to the web
● suite of core tools (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drawings, Forms, etc)

Themes).

The Chrome Web Store includes;
Installed via Chrome Web Store:
An app is a stand-alone web based application which
can be housed within the Chrome browser.
An extension offers additional functionality to the
Chrome browser itself. A small icon will appear on the
right hand side of the tool bar once installed.
An add-on is an extra feature that can be added from
the menu inside a Google tool under ‘Add-ons’ which
adds functionality to the specific tool being used.
Theme: personalises the appearance of your Chrome
browser.
