“train more care workers to deliver high-quality care,
including an ambition to double the number of care
apprenticeships to 100,000 by 2017”

• CfWI’s role to support planning the workforce –
a partnership approach working across the sector

What NCF members told us
NCF Spring Personnel Survey:
• Of 27 detailed responses, 18 (67%) have an in-house
apprenticeship programme or are actively considering
or developing one
• 9 (33%) were not planning a programme
NCF Pay, Terms and Conditions survey
• 29 of 48 organisations reported active apprenticeship
programmes for a range of roles

Apprentices: a major priority • Apprentices a key workforce group in Caring for our future: “train more care workers to deliver high-quality care, including an ambition to double the number of care apprenticeships to 100,000 by 2017” • Government to work with Skills for Care and National Apprentices Service • CfWI’s role to support planning the workforce – a partnership approach working across the sector
