chelating reagent, tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA), is used to help CuCl dissolve in solvent.
The experiment uses techniques such as recrystallization, TLC, and infrared spectroscopy. This
experiment is incredibly green, since air is used as an oxygen resource and has no cost. CuCl is
used a catalyst and a green solvent, 2 propanol, is also used as a reaction medium which is a
greener solvent.

Walking into the Antelope Valley Museum for the first time was breathtaking. I felt as though I
had just walked into the home of a true Native American Indian. I could literally smell the history
